  1. Honestly, I moved over to Stud.io and then use LPub3D to make them after exporting the LDRAW file from Stud.io. I was initially just reordering the steps by hand in Stud.io but after the latest release, there is a new step designer that is very useful. The page layouts in the new instruction maker arent very good yet so I am using the step designer and then exporting as LDraw and using LPub3D. Its a different work flow but once the steps are made in LDraw/Stud.io you can easily recolor or move parts unlike the headache that was created by that in BluePrint.
  2. I ended up finding another hose length that was in a format I could understand and then modifying it down to be a 2L hose. My .dat file for 75c02 is available here.
  3. I have run into the bounding box issue a lot as I build things that are long and skinny. I have asked @msx80 about it a few times but no response yet.
  4. I love the latest one! I was interested to tryout the new Stud.io instruction maker so I have made up another set of instructions but I have not built it in the brick yet. I have the parts but no time. The only part swap was to make the tail lights trans-orange instead of trans red. Here is a render using the new photorealistic render function is Stud.io 2.0 I have moved all the files I have previously shared to my bricksafe as I was not comfortable using my personal drop box. The 4 older ones and the new Speedster model can be found here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/supertruper1988/imvanya
  5. Its a good thing its not then I understand the sentiment and I signed up to play AG1 then found out I was having a baby and did 0 builds. I would suggest that maybe a different outlet could be found for your passion to build. I realize this is fun but saying that these volunteer mods and admins are not doing their "job" is crazy talk. No one has to provide you an outlet for your passion. If you want to see change, look into alternatives, build some test servers that can handle this type of game, show what you can do. Then offer it to the admins as an alternative. Expecting them to do something for free just because it was once offered for free comes across as naive and entitled. That is the opposite of the LEGO message.
  6. You could get some 3d printed that have an axle insert?
  7. When I do MOCs that will be for sale, I do all internal bricks and plates in Red Yellow and Blue unless one of the colors for the exterior is one of those. I will usually swap in Green as a back up. I then just color them in layers so that its easy to see the construction when building just like TLG does it. If there are specialized parts I will put them in the cheapest color available at the time of building (usually LBG for SNOT and joint parts). Then I just have a note to the builder as the first page calling out any alternate builds I have included and part substitutions that may be used including a note that the Red/Blue/Yellow parts are all internal. I supply the parts list as well for my builds and I leave them as Red/Blue/Yellow for that as well. My reasoning for those colors specifically is, that besides black and white, those 3 colors are the longest produced LEGO colors. They are likely to be cheap and available in plates and bricks and can be purchased easily if someone doesn't ave a bunch of parts already on hand.
  8. Looks really great! Love the custom wheels for the tender!
  9. Thanks for the help! I am going to see if I can work something out using LDcad, if not I will go the other route. The File posted by @djm didnt seem to work when I opened it in stud.io so I am sure that there will bee some other work to get that going.
  10. I have LDcad installed ultimately I will be importing the finalized DAT file into Stud.io to use with my models there.
  11. Does anyone have a guide on how one like of code in a dat file for LDraw works? The official tutorial page says "just play around a bit, the advanced parts builders are too busy to write a tutorial" I cant seem to figure it out and all I want is a 2 stud long piece of 3mm rigid hose... BL part 75c02
  12. I just got my copy tonight. Did any one else have trouble with the axle holders? Mine seemed like I had to really caress them into place.
  13. Short but interesting interview with Masao Hidaka
  14. Goodie! just gotta wait till they show up on bricks'n'pieces to order a boat load
  15. I would think that swapping to a different railroad will get you the greatest bang for your buck. i know that the silver/red is iconic but something in black would be cheap. If you go to LBG in stead of old gray then you can also save some money but you will have to brick build the doors to stay in pure lego.
  16. Not sure if this is welcome here but GBC build akiyuky posted these two awesome videos using the new roller coaster tracks today.
  17. I know this is a little OT but what new series?
  18. You can see here that it came in 7961 and 75202 https://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemIn.asp?P=88293&colorID=86&in=A
  19. haha I get that so much.
  20. I must be missing something. That is not below the LDD "ground" level? I can clearly see the "ground" of LDD below the swimming pool. You have always been able to build under plates that are placed on the "ground" and then LDD automatically moves the "ground" lower...
  21. You have to check both if you are looking for parts in qty or the price seems outrageous. I had a look at BrickLink and for this part in LBG, there have been 2 set made, of which one is still in production. The price on BrickLink is averaging over $1 each for these even in "used" condition. Since that set is still in production, I figured it was likely that the part could be bought in quantity from bricks and pieces on LEGO.com. They are and they are cheaper than the prices on BrickLink for new parts.
  22. I have bought a bunch of stuff and its never been more than 3 weeks. I always make sure to group it to be more than $35 so I get free shipping tho
  23. You can get them from shop.lego.com for $.57 each.
  24. That looks really cool! Can you share how you put together the steering?
