  1. I think it has more to do with the guild story going forward. It got me inspired, and I knocked out a small sandscape yesterday. I still have to build the horse cart and fill it out with some characters, but it got me back to wanting to build.
  2. Ooh! The Aurra Sing hair outside Star Wars! Please let this be real!
  3. I think that the trees are quite appropriate for where they are, by a tavern on a major road. It is obvious to me that the people would keep those trees manicured. The story is engaging, if disheartening for the resistance movement. Has the visitation of Minister Prndrn been pushed back in the story?
  4. While this is a beautiful build, well executed, it does not belong in this forum. All Harry Potter theme builds belong in the Licensed Forum.
  5. I believe the word you meant to use was prohibited, Ambassador Bloodmane has reported a rumor out of Skavenport, told to him by a Nestlands cosmetics trader. It is suggested that Lord Raavage had the ermine destined for his winter coat nailed to his dinner table live each night, so that he could kill them, and eat their flesh, himself.
  6. About the dress in the video being deeper than the torso; you have to consider how 3D animation is created. For the movement effect the animators likely just layered the dress shape over the existing minifigure leg framework instead of creating a new model. This comes from my admittedly limited understanding of the technical aspects of 3D animation discussed on Pixar movie commentaries.
  7. In previous leaks from this person there have been items from different lines shared at the same time. There could also be some special promotion for the Minifigures Online game that hasn't been revealed yet.
  8. I had some good build time yesterday (while watching X-Men: Days of Future Past). I got the floor plan laid out for the second part of Lord Vladivus' visit to the Nestlands Embassy. I even have an Avalonian to add to the story, using Ninjago bad guy parts. The blood fountain is going to be tricky, but I think I have enough trans-red parts for it. I hope to finish it this week, then get back to my Quest for the Egg Part 4 There is also still the matter of dismantling and sorting my previous builds.
  9. Now that's a good idea. It also gives me some other things to try with that design.
  10. For those who say the Wrestling Champion is going to be male, remember this guy. Unless they go with an college/Olympic style wrestler, I am betting on this on being female.
  11. As I posted in the Disney CMF thread, the 2x4x2 curved piece hasn't been in sets since 2009. The curved piece looks to have a longer arc than the old piece as well, which would make more sense.
  12. The last year the 2x4x2 arch insert piece was released was 2009. From the available images, the arc appears to be more than one stud in height. A 2x4x2 half bell piece might be useful elsewhere.
  13. The guy in the orange shirt is likely the Dancer, as in Russian ballet. Steering Wheel Warrior, Winged Warrior, or Flying Warrior? If it is Flying Warrior, it could be something like the classic pulp fiction Rocketman. If the Steering Wheel Warrior is the closest translation the fig could be something like Vin Diesel or the late Paul Walker of the Fast and the Furious movies. Winged Warrior could be Valkyrie, and that would be a boon to Castle/Historical/Fantasy builders. I am still hoping that the Wrestling Champion is female, like my guess.
  14. Winged Warrior: Eros? Wrestling Champion: If female, I may have gotten that one right. Queen: Could she have a molded crown/hair different from the King?
  15. If we do get Peter Pan and Hook, I would prefer they use the Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman versions, but they are more likely to use the original cartoon versions. A pearl gold Roman Gladius would make a passable Pan sword. A hat/hair combo would make Hook well enough, but he should have the long legs.
  16. Disney Princesses Palace Pets is an existing TV show. It has the various pets of the Disney Princesses, in their respective universes, go through magical portals to a world where they can all talk and have their own adventures. I caught part of an episode on Disney Channel midday. It was fairly ridiculous to me, but I'm not the target demographic. Apparently it is popular enough to warrant its own toys. TLG should have no problem recreating the show using mostly the Friends style animals. These should be a relatively inexpensive source for some of the newer detail parts.
  17. Sleeping Beauty is the name of the movie, the character's name is Aurora. Why do people not remember this? She is already in Disney Princesses, so I doubt we'll see Maleficent. If we get Peter Pan, which is still speculation based on the anticipation of a store employee, Tinkerbell could very well be a microfigure with him. I am hoping TLG does the same thing for Disney that they did for the Simpsons; an attendant set with exclusive figures. It would be really funny if they gave us a Disney parade float.
  18. Not this debate again. MInidolls are not for the established Lego buyers market. Have you ever heard of Polly Pocket? This kind of figure is popular with a certain buying market. The minidoll has been a successful venture for TLG acquiring market share. I've bought Friends, Disney Princesses, and Elves for parts, but I've also found some uses for the figures. Now if only TLG would release the minidoll parts in LDD. I have an idea on how to use the head for a giant acorn.
  19. I found it quite odd that Forestmen had black trees while Dark Forest had brown trees. I still would like a return of the sigil and civilian/greenwood attire.
  20. Mine are okay to use. For better browsing, use My Albums.
  21. I wasn't referring to the box suggested age range, which varies by set. I was referring to marketing appeal. The most probable non-licensed theme we could get while Nexo Knights is running would have to be Classical Tales. Pre-Roman Celtic, Ancient Egyptian, Grecian, and Roman tales could mostly be done with existing molds, but Sumerian and Babylonian would need a more than few.
  22. Kingdoms was as close to realism that the Castle theme had gotten. It was obviously geared towards older consumers. I think that LOTR/Hobbit was already in the works, but Lego needed a bridge theme to draw in some teen to adult consumers before the launch. Castle 2013 was aimed at the consumers that were a little too young for the LOTR/Hobbit saga. It even got a follow up Juniors set for the even younger market. Nexo Knights is obviously aimed at the tween market. There is something that is highly unlikely, but what if Nexo Knights is so Sci-Fantasy because Lego has the rights to Disney's Alice in Wonderland and the upcoming sequel Alice Through the Looking Glass (May 27, 2016)? There were some rumors about some April/spring launch mixed in with the previous Castle rumors before we knew about Nexo Knights. Just wishful thinking at the moment, but it makes a weird kind of sense. A Johnny Depp Mad Hatter kind of sense.
  23. Sand blue and sand green still get use, but sand red is an inactive color (it's in the LDD Legacy pallet). I'd also like a return of metallic green and metal blue. In the images or Fortrex there looks to be two new large panel pieces. The one observed prominently, and one that appears to be a 1x6x5 with three rectangular indents. I can see at least two in the available images (the high quality front image and the open back image from ToyArk), but there could be as many as four of these 1x6x5 parts. Unless I am mistaken, and it's just printing or a sticker.
  24. As mentioned in the actual CMF Disney thread, Bo Peep's sheep in Toy Story are actually a single toy made up of three sheep pressed together, and would not be properly represented by a single sheep mold. The Image in the Nexo Knights released video tells us that a concept has been designed, but whether or not we get it in actual brick form is still far from certain. As depicted, the sheep would need dual molding and printing. If we get a it, the sheep would likely be in a large set in which the price per piece count could offset the cost of a multiple step production part. The goat is a prime example of this.
