  1. I confess, I binge watched the first day. Her lips in the show are a very deep magenta, which should make the light flesh color seem paler by comparison. The hair looks right, but the eye dots should be off-center to give her that PTSD paranoia look. The scarf is done nicely, though.
  2. There is also a farmer bot with a hat that looks too conical to be the CMF Scarecrow hat.
  3. I love your approach to landscape. The path looks very sedimentary, as if it was created by mountain run-off. The alt-bricks leaves also add to the idea that plants in the Nestlands area grow a little differently, due to the mineral rich water. Aturl is obviously a bit scruffy today. The humidity has been up, which means he will need to get some more of his favorite hair product. And he will have to shave before the next High Ministry meeting. You also executed Aturl's manner well, after some minor notes about his motivation. Aturl is clearly picking his words carefully to shore up Adira's confidence, at least towards the prospect of her people's survival.
  4. It's this media driven play concept that has gotten great sales, but sacrifices the basic idea of imaginative play. This seems counter to the longstanding company image that TLG promotes in its publications. The provided 'Castle' theme doesn't appeal to historical builders, and this community feels under-served. Disappointment abound. I'll look for parts elsewhere.
  5. That's not a claymore. The guard and haft proportions make it barely a dagger. I suggested it might be a four part vehicle some time ago.
  6. A D&D license is never going to happen, since Hasbro owns it and they have Kre-O. There are some interesting possibilities if TLG is willing to do a full Doctor Who theme. I still remember the original Doctor landing in an Aztec temple. The David Tennant version of the Doctor went to Pompeii, and a few other choice historical locations.
  7. Thief head for Zorro is a great idea. It really fits the Guy Williams version. I have the Bumblebee Girl, and find her mostly a waste. Her head, wings and the pot are about it. This series: you can keep the shark guy. I have both the Harry Potter and Atlantis shark heads. The Clumsy Guy will also be low priority. The Queen is my biggest want so far, with the 'animal control officer' a close second.
  8. If they do Mike, plausible, I think he should be done like Mrs. Puff.
  9. I'd rather have a Tail Spin version of Baloo.
  10. I am betting that the handhold of the crutches will be slightly offset, to allow for proper arm rotation. I am also wondering if the head bandage might just be the recent redesign of the pirate bandanna.
  11. What about an actual medieval faire? Colorful tents and booths, with an array of crafts-persons, entertainers and patrons. This could be something that would go alongside the Kingdoms Joust. Shield maker, fletcher, hat maker, quality smithy (think exotic shiny swords and other weapons, or silver/gold-smith), medieval musicians (not the stereotypical jester that we've had too often), and possibly a cut-purse that can be arrested. Non-armored nobility and tradesmen, like the CMF King.
  12. Not necessarily, you could just be mean. "That's cold, man."
  13. The mini-fortrex.
  14. I just realized that set has one of those Technic plates that are so rare in regular sets these days.
  15. I know I mentioned this before, but I post again: Amalgam Comics! For those of you unaware, DC and Marvel did this joint stunt that mixed their respective characters in a new universe. Could TLG ever acquire the shared licenses? There is no reason why TLG would want to, given that Amalgam Comics happened eighteen years ago, but it's fun to think that they could.
  16. I simply call it sci-fantasy.
  17. This is getting to be like waiting for a new Netflix series to be released, so you can binge watch and be the first to scream at your friends about it.
  18. For the books, it is just likely the cover printing that the app recognizes. That squire bot torso looks like it could be good for some plant usage. I really hope all the new parts from this theme get included when we finally get that LDD update.
  19. Yeah, Flickr is great. It has simple copy/paste BBCode links, and you can choose a size for your image (to keep within EB image size rules). Learn to use the toggle editing mode here when posting to remove the extra bits, or add in the line break that Flickr no longer adds to their code (after [/img][/url]).
  20. There is a great consistent quality to your builds. I eagerly await your next installment. I sent you a PM about some timeline info.
  21. Not the minidoll debate again! The minidolls were designed to go after a specific buying market, the doll buying market. Not all girls want dolls, and not all doll buyers are girls. There are a lot of people in the world who are not FOLs that buy dolls. TLG has tried this before, with less success; Belville and Scala. This time it seems to have worked, probably due to the supporting media. As to the future of Castle: I don't see the traditional Castle line showing up during the Nexo Knights run. TLG could do what it has been flirting with in the CMF line, Classical Era, i.e. Greco-Roman, Egyptian, Sumerian, the Huns, the Hittites, the Imazighen(Berber) and Babylonian. There are so many historical and mythological tales to draw from that could make such a line very popular. Or TLG could go an even different route. Gothic literature? Shakespeare? Marco Polo? Neolithic?
  22. For the printing/sticker debate; some early displays of upcoming sets have had stickers in place of printing when the production part isn't available. Given that the production parts are supposed to be recognized by an app, it is entirely plausible that the printed parts were not available yet. If you look closely at the hi-res image of the Jestro set you can see that it has a mistake that proves it is just an image of the display set with the background whited out.
  23. I believe this belongs in Special Themes.
  24. The hair in the Ninjago poster is likely the Aurra Sing hair, a possibility which I am quite happy about. I have some ideas about other uses for that part. Hook could give us a new hook hand, as his uses a basket hilt design, or we could finally get a nicely detailed overcoat piece.
