  1. Wonderful engine Hrw-Amen
  2. Wonderful work wooootles, I can't wait until you start on the tower
  3. Wow those are some old sets! I've never seen that road plate on your MOC gas station
  4. W.D. 40 has worked for me as well as rubbing alcohol. Goof Off will do it as well, but I'm not sure how it would react with the translucent plastic. It may make it cloudy like paint thinner. Learned that while cleaning a mistake I made while painting a model car
  5. Nothing a light bite to the bottom of the round plate won't fix
  6. Very nicely done Aitoruco! This must have taken some time to design. You did very well, it looks fantastic. Too bad you won't be building this, but at 38,000, I can see why not
  7. Beautiful work wooootles! Very nice exterior and I really like the interior, especially the LEGO corner. Excellent details
  8. That is huge and excellently built! Looks so much like the real building. Fantastic work
  9. Very nice city kc2dc, I love big layouts! It's a fine collection, took me a minute to realize you had two monorails... lucky you! My city was also largely based on actual sets, rather than MOCs.Apart from numerous vehicles, I have very few MOCed buildings. Since everything is in storage, I don't build larger structures. I hope to see future updates with newer sets
  10. Absolutely fantastic! Funny coincidence, I was just looking at Chinese Praying Mantis eggs earlier today. These are incredibly realistic, beautiful, specimens, I'd love to hang this on my wall
  11. "Yellow submarine!", he says to many dismay... If not yeller, I'd say black, best color for underwater camo. Cool design though, I really like it's look and detail. I would love to see it brick-built
  12. Yeah, I am in no doubt this is what she was referring to. I am sure no one would not stick a bag on top of their car, unless it absolutely crammed full. You can almost always find a spot for a bag to fit. Most likely a poor job anchoring it to the car or a strap failure... Lesson of the day: (states the obvious) Don't put your LEGO on top of your car/SUV... Totally not worth it
  13. Very nice roads dgoodfellow! I have been contemplating which route I'd take on roads for my layout. I'd love baseplates, easy, low maintenance, but expensive and not very versatile. Painted roads, cheap, limitlessly customizable (grades, turning degrees, detailing, etc), but a bit labor intensive. Lastly are brick-built. Very detailed, keeps with everything LEGO, and can be made into varying turn degrees. However, like base plates, I imagine this can get quite expensive and is very labor intensive. Roughly what costs could I expect, say on an area like yours?
  14. That makes sense. I did notice they have a but of trouble holding a 1x1 round plate (used them as a differential on a MOC)
  15. I knew I had heard it somewhere! I do hope to see the heli soon
  16. Pink Star > am's Duke, nots a lady!

  17. Pink Star > am's Duke, nots a lady

  18. That was about two hours from me. Poor kid, but it's not very often LEGO and West Virginia are together in the news
  19. Excellent work on the interior riggs! It's coming together very nicely. An off topic question though, is your signature quote from something of is it a typo about Edison? Anyway looking forward to seeing this complete. Will there be a custom helicopter or a regular set?
  20. I noticed this piece doesn't have LEGO on either of it's studs. I thought it was bit peculiar because it does have studs
  21. Pink Star > Ams Duke, not a Lady!

  22. This morning I decided to go on an order 8 of these round plates, in green, to replace the dark green I have on one of my 10016 Tanker from My Own Train series. As well as, some other bits and pieces. It IS coming from Germany
  23. Which Dino set was it? Maybe get one cheaper off Bricklink?
  24. You could use some hinges to get any angle you want. I prefer this hinge type as opposed to the newer click-type when building custom slopes. Since the older ones are level, apart from the studs, it allows for minimal gap. And since they will be underneath, you shouldn't really notice the older gray. I hope this is some help
  25. Those wooden sets are some neat pieces to have. LEGO at it's infancy. My oldest sets, apart from some roadplates from 1979, are two 6653 Highway Maintenance Trucks from 1982. All are second hand, produced 5 - 8 years prior to me
