Nice job otm, this is quite a floor plan. I like the details and scenes you created. That theft detector is really neat. Very realistic. Keep up the good work

What I want to know is why are Creator cars and trucks so goofy looking? Is it too hard to follow regular City vehicle styling?

Wow that is big! Great job on the build, very close indeed

LEGO Invasion - live-action Lego short film
LEGO Guy Bri replied to andrewmfilms's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
That is one of the best animated LEGO films I've seen! An excellent opener, very well done -
I've always used WD-40. It's petroleum based, very thin (not viscous), wipes off easy, cleans off residue from gum, other petroleum, or glues, can be washed off with mild soap and water, and has never damaged any of my bricks or rubber pieces. It shines them up if anything. It does have an odor, but IMO it's not unpleasant or very strong and a little can go a long way

Fixing loose clutching bricks
LEGO Guy Bri replied to super curry max's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Hot and cold cycles (winter/summer; little or no a/c) could possibly affect clutch power over time, but it sounds like this will not be an issue. Direct sunlight can also heavily, negatively, affect LEGO- 42 replies

Makes me wonder how many pieces get deformed from the wight of the initial impact

Those figures are really unfortunate. I much rather would have seen these in a LEGO set, even over the Simpsons. However, being of Family Guy's nature, among other reasons, I highly doubt TLG would have ever considered that license. Then again, I'm stating the obvious

That is a fantastic representation Anticyclone! Very detailed work, well done

Nice pick-up monsinjor! The front reminds me of an old Studebaker Champ. I may have to use that skid idea use have. I've got a couple of those that I have no use for. Great thinking

Funny little scene kabel. Looks like someone got a little too "happy"

Great job so far Henrik! I really like the clever roof system to cover such a larger area. I look forward to seeing it's progress

Nice job recreating your truck. I sort of did the same for my 92' Isuzu Trooper (RIP), more of a mod to 7635. I think you could probably lengthen it a couple studs, though. The wheelbase looks a bit short. How did you build the suspension?

Actually many of those listed as "not part of the Great Vehicle" line up, are considered "Great Vehicles". From the Race Car ($9.99) to the Airport Fire Truck ($29.99). I don't care to much for the 'Great' part of it. I think 'Vehicles' is better. Generally, it seems they do not come with structures. As for the Airport Fire Truck making it in, is probably because it doesn't exactly fit in with the regular fire theme

Very nice work Kristel! It reminds me of a local building downtown. I really like your interior, as well

That only declined in the past 10 years. Something about a Playbox or X Station, and something online. My neighborhood friends and I made many scrap wood forts, tunnels, and raised platforms through the mid-late 90's - early 2000's. Good times. Still, I guess I'm "younger than dirt", at 26. Happy Birthday Shayd! Hope you have a great one

To be honest, I can't figure why you guy's feel silly "playing with LEGO, other than a personal hang up. There's nothing wrong with that, but you do realize you still fall in TLG's target demographic, right? Granted I never bragged about LEGO Jr. High-High Skool, but, I still ran my trains and created new city scenes until I was 16. For now enjoy being a kid young. My hiatus started around 16... license, cars, girls, parties, etc. LEGO tends to not be a magnet if you're into those things, but I never forgot or let go. I probably would have continued buying sets through those 7+ years, had LEGO not gone through some weird stages (i.e. World City). Many adults still "play" with LEGO, many "build", those who aren't fans probably can't tell a difference. Now-a-days, outside these forums, only a few close friends, who appreciate hobbies, or LEGO itself, know I collect and occasionally build. Bottom line: have fun, don't over think it

MOC: Monorail Train Station with "Schweineschnaeuzchen"
LEGO Guy Bri replied to Dirk1313's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Alright, something different, a monorail train station! That is a funky little trolley! What year are they from, 30's/40's? You did a great job building it
