  1. Oh yeah, I even own her! Don't know how I forgot about her.
  2. Before Ghost Rider, have there been other transparent hair pieces?
  3. I grabbed Rey and Finn off Bricklink for about 6 and 8 bucks, respectively. No great steal, I'm afraid, but even with shipping it was cheaper than Rey's Speeder, and I was getting other things from their shop anyway.
  4. I'm not big into City, but the Park set definitely caught my eye. My thoughts are: That wheelchair looks pretty darn good. Generic enough to be used for a variety of characters (*cough* Professor Xavier and Barbara Gordon /*cough*), and serious enough to be used in various MOCs and settings without looking cartoony. It's lower to the ground than you can achieve in brick-built chairs, which is really nice. Non-AFOLs I've heard on the web don't seem to understand how advantageous this new piece is over brick built chairs. The baby is only okay. The Sacagawea baby is really cute, but this one's slightly creepy. Maybe future prints will look more natural, and at least the mold is in a good scale, even if it's not exactly how I would have designed it. Does it have a minifig head? The minifig parts look good in the Park set. Very few of the torsos have yellow on them, which I appreciate, because I prefer to make flesh-tone characters. The Grandma hair might be white, which would be cool, but I'm not actually sure if that's the case. Ultimately, wheelchair prices on Bricklink will determine whether or not I buy the Park set. Oh, by the way, are the back wheels on the chair new pieces? They look like bicycle wheels, but I don't think they can rotate if they're only attached on one side. Things of note in the rest of city: I'm grateful that the volcano and airport themes exist; civilians, even scientists and pilots, are more desirable than additional police/firefighters. However, none of the sets in either of those lines actually look good to me. Hard skip on all of them, unfortunately. The gas station looks decent enough, though I simply won't have the funds to buy it after everything else I'll be getting.
  5. Wow. That looks pretty good. The helmet especially has an absurd amount of detail crammed in there; very impressive. The only suggestion that I would give is that the legs look disproportionately dainty. Did you create another account for some reason? I can't imagine two people using the exact same incoherent sentence structure. Edit: Oh, I guess it's not incomprehensible, just missing a comma.
  6. Only in Episode I, and I don't believe there was ever an Episode I Yoda.
  7. Under your rules, Warwick Davis shouldn't get the point for Griphook. That figure represents Verne Troyer in makeup, being voiced by Warwick Davis. Warwick later played Griphook, but the figure is specifically the Verne Troyer version.
  8. Holy cow, yes he does! I didn't think that a hairpiece would work that well for Ghost Rider, but it totally does. Hobgoblin looks alright, nothing special. The Doc Ock set looks atrocious, but Vulture and White Tiger look decent, so I can understand some people getting that set.
  9. Oh cool, I really like Ultimate Spider-Woman! She's such an interesting character. She'll go well with Miles Morales! I didn't think they'd go for her!
  10. Y'know, I wasn't initially planning on buying any of the Spider-Man sets, but CapnRex is praising the Bridge's build very, very hard. If it's Gwen and Ben in the set, I might actually buy it. If not, I might Bricklink it if the build is really that wonderful; I don't have anything resembling a bridge in my collection, so it would spice it up. The ideal Spider-Gwen figure would have Gwen's head, a masked-head, Gwen Hair, a folded Wildstyle hood and a regular hood; it's possible the conflicting reports about the "Spider-Girl" figure are because she has all this, but I doubt it. I think it's more likely that people just misinterpreted what they saw, maybe mixed up details about some of the figures.
  11. I am very excited to see how this turns out.
  12. There was no Deadpool movie at that point; had there been, Lego probably would have avoided such an adult property. At the time of the set, Deadpool was featured in Marvel books of various maturity levels and Ultimate Spider-Man, a show for very young children, and was primarily seen as "that wacky guy at Comic-Con." It was pushing the boundaries a bit, but very few kids would have been inspired to buy the adult comics; kids rarely read comic books at all these days. Movies and television have a significantly higher profile, and I'm certain Lego doesn't want to associate their brand with R-Rated (18) properties such as the Deadpool film. Currently, Daredevil is also seen as an adult property, and Lego could damage their brand by linking themselves to him. However, Daredevil hasn't historically been as adult as the Netflix show; eighteen months ago, they could have made a Daredevil figure and nobody would have batted an eye. If Daredevil shows up in Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble or another kid-friendly property, then Daredevil can be seen as something other than a mature character. I'd quite like a Daredevil figure, so even though I despise the current crop of Marvel cartoons, I hope he shows up in one of them.
  13. Pretty sure it's Arkham Knight. Also, the Cyberman+War Machine= Mk 2 looks pretty good, as we all predicted. Nice job, guys!
  14. Hey, I was looking at photos of the Space-Suit Iron Man from the Avenjet set, and I noticed he has cool light-colored areas within his Arc Reactor and on his eyes. They look really, really good, but from photos, I can't tell how they're done. Is it just areas where they've the print off, or is it a print pattern Lego could do in the future on non-white figures?
  15. Just for everyone else's benefit, Captain America in the upcoming "Black Panther Hunt/Chase/Pursuit" set will have the newer version of Superman's hair molded in dark orange. The old Superman hair in Dark Orange comes from the collectible minifigures line, the GB Olympics series, on the Agile Archer figure. Both are on the chart already, although the Captain America hair will not be released until March. The photo here comes from advanced Lego material, not consumer photos. I think we all understand each other on this matter now.
  16. Yeah, everybody else, DO NOT do this! But he did say that he didn't realize that it was closed until after, and he was trying to buying them. If it were me, I would contact Lego and offer to pay for the pieces.
  17. The Venom symbiote looks amazing! It is unfortunate we don't get black Spidey's head here, but that build looks great!
  18. The new one has a white mask and chest area. They're almost definitely using the classic look, though, it's the famous one, and it was used in the cartoon show. I don't love 2099, but he's probably the most famous spider-person that we haven't gotten yet. The others I could see us getting would be (in this order) Agent Venom, Spider-Gwen, (non Comic-Con) Black Suit Spidey, Spider-Man Noir. Of those, the only one I would care about is Gwen I agree with both of these. As my profile pic shows, I think the Spider-Man 2 figure is the best version. If they added dual molded arms (especially if they print on one half, like the Silver Centurion), and if they either fix the light-on-dark printing issue or if they go back to printing onto a red base, they could give me a new favorite figure. I don't care as much about the web pattern on the arms, though. What? I agree that Dark Blue is better, but until Lego starts using primers again, Bright Red on Dark Blue would look atrocious, and the webs definitely wouldn't show up. That whole figure would look muddled. Spider-Man 2 Spidey all the way!
  19. Wow, that does look really good. Nice job!
  20. Lego.com says, "Bricks and Pieces Purchases won't be available between December 13 and the end of January." So I guess we have a definitive answer now. Don't know why they added a date for the start this far into the break.
  21. The Irina torso does look pretty good for Jonah. It's gray, military, and gender neutral.
  22. Yeah, I don't think Marvel micromanages quite that much- heck, I doubt they even know Lego's part inventory that well. At this point, they know what Lego does and how they do it. I'm sure that for the most part they just give Lego concept art and say, "Make characters x, y and z doing activities a, b and c. We want to merchandise them heavily, and then we'll sign off on it in a month once you have your prototypes." I presume Vision's redesign happened late in the game, after certain toys were designed and signed off on; even in some of the behind-the-scenes footage, Paul Bettany is in makeup with a blue stone.
  23. The two best options are both online stores. The first is Bricklink.com. There are a few challenges: you need to make an account, the interface is awkward for newcomers, and you need to pay for shipping which can be expensive, and you need to wait for the parts to arrive, which can take weeks. The second is Lego's Brick's and Pieces service. Normally, it is found at this site. Unfortunately, the legal buying option is offline for at least a little bit longer, and using the current replacement options to get new parts would be unethical. Some people are saying it will come back online tomorrow, others are saying it will be offline for another month, but when it comes back, it's the best option. Most of the parts here are very cheap, and there's an incredible variety of hairpieces. Like bricklink.com, you will need to pay shipping and wait for them to arrive, but the parts are so cheap that it's worth it. The Build-a-Figure option is not good because you only get three hairpieces for $10, (I have no idea how much Japan charges). Some stores will let you buy nothing but hairpieces, but not all stores do. Plus, you don't know which pieces they have until you arrive, so it's rarely worth the journey. I recommend that you do not do this option.
  24. Oh, yes, you are completely right. Sorry to have suggested otherwise.
