Kings Port Advertiser (Vol 4, Special Issue) January 619
Mesabi replied to Capn Frank's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Phred What part of, do you not understand? I have plenty in my life going on at the moment, and I'm about to move. I asked you to hold off on this, because I am about to move. I can't do 4 builds, Because I'm about to move. So, my settlement is just out of whack then? I can't build, because I am currently putting all my things into boxes, and moving. I asked you to hold this off until I moved, because I'm a lame duck in this game at the moment. I'm fine with this event. I think it will be an interesting story to tell, and I appreciate the creativity that went into this. But I cannot do anything about this because I am moving. This should have been postponed. -
As usual, a big thanks to @Phred for keeping the brick seas accounts up to date!

Thanks for your comments! Thanks, I'll try to post a picture of the design tomorrow. Yeah, I thought they were very fitting! I wasn't quite inspired by this one, and I have had trouble building factories recently. I feel like a factory should focus more on the process than the architecture. Either way, to be honest, we needed 7 points of factories to level up the city, so that's what I came up with. I know, and I will be working on being better at doing details this year. Thanks for your feedback, it means a lot!

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Mesabi Landing is now the Grandest Settlement of BoBS, just today reaching the level of 'Grand City' with the completion of 3 factories. Celebrations are planned, and expect details soon. Thank you all who built in Mesabi Landing, especially @Drunknok who I could not have built the city with. Here's to a Grand 619 everyone! -
Oh wow, @Drunknok, I'm really glad you built this one instead of me! I love the way it turned out, the tan detailing is excellent, and really looks great against the gray. You really outdid yourself with this one, and I really like the build. Excellent work!

Location: Mesabi Landing Type: Large Factory Literacy rates continue to climb in Mesabi Landing, as a wide selection of books were printed in Mesabi Landing's printing factory Book Making by North White, on Flickr In a small outbuilding, Tony oversaw the typesetting onto the printing plate. Book Making by North White, on Flickr In the main building, Captain Angles made sure that all the steps of production were done according to plan. Book Making by North White, on Flickr Type was put onto each press, and paper underneath it. Book Making by North White, on Flickr Each press imprinted the words onto paper, and the printed pages were stacked in piles. Book Making by North White, on Flickr Pages were stacked in order, and bound with horse glue, and covered with a horse leather cover. Book Making by North White, on Flickr Soon, another load of books would be sent out to the Brick seas... FIN Thanks for viewing this build! C&C appreciated!

Brethren of the Brick Seas (BoBS) Intro Thread, Era II
Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, or a happy similar winter solstice holiday. I love the community we've built here, and I love seeing all of your creations, and occasionally, blowing them up in game. Individual Thanks and Holiday greetings. Really hope I got everyone, I know I almost certainly missed someone though. Thanks to everyone for this great community we've created, and I look forwards to seeing it go another year, or ten. I know I play a madman in game, but I really do appreciate all of you, and what you each bring to this community. Everyone, I hope you have a great holiday, whether that's Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanza, or the New Year. Spend time with your families, and I look forwards to another year. -
[OL MCRA Results] Oleon's Response
Mesabi replied to Captain Genaro's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Very, neat build @Captain Genaro. I really like how clean and elegant this one turned out. As for the matter at hand, @Drunknok will be taking point on this one. (With my full backing) The Count should be back in ML in about 2 MCRA turns, however, he has to sail over.- 16 replies

Corrington: Sign-up and Discussion, Era II
Mesabi replied to Bregir's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Ayrlego, @Bregir To Colonel Sir Dirk Allcock I recently have been informed of some sort of damage to a WTC owned rowboat near Fatu Hiva. As I have been going on amazing adventures in the South, visiting all kinds of people and things, and establishing diplomatic relations for the first time with a powerful ally to the south, I have been delegating responsibility. That being said, I fully support whatever whoever is actually in charge says about this matter. And I might add, a very solemn. "Oopsy-doopsy" in regards to the rowboat's actions. Sincerely, Count Mesabi CEO of the WTC -
[Cor Dec FB3] Tower Battery, Port Woodhouse
Mesabi replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Nice build Ayrlego, as usual. I really like your style of builds, and I really like how this one turned out. Great job especially on the roof, that's definitely my favorite part. -
Great Ship @Roadmonkeytj, I really like the detailing and classic pirates look of her. Great work, and soon I'll need to get my own armada up.
-
Excellent ship @TomSkippy! I really like the shaping, and how well she's packed together. She's like the Black Pearl's little sister.
-
Very, very nice build. I love the detailing, and the colours. Both the stern and bow are excellent. I'm guessing this will be a ship that will be on the other side of our guns at some point though, so good luck keeping her afloat.

[MMC] Merrynight Celebration in Jameston
Mesabi replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Great Build Ayrlego! very nice celebration scene, and I like the realism of the building. Good to see Montoya for once, as well. -
Very nice build, @Bregir. The tower is very well built, and I like the docks. It's almost a little too fancy for a pirate hideout.

I'll clarify a tad. I'd love to use a hideout on an Island, to strike at black flag pirates, because that would be cool. Also, the WTC is above piracy, but certainly not many, many other crimes. Side note, would any of your settlements like some opium? First order is free!
-
Well, this is certainly a cool feature, I love the idea, and I think this will add a lot to the game. Certainly, it's piratey, and fun. I have a suggestion though, I'd like to see a TMCRA ability to maybe search an island for hideouts? Setting up an AMCRA is quite intense, and I'm not sure it's the best forum for finding hideouts. And I must say, I have one serious gripe with it. Okay, so great. I don't use black flag ships, nor do I want to, so it looks like this cool feature doesn't work for me at all. I don't want Black Flag ships, and I don't plan on using them, at all, probably ever. However, I'd love for the ability to use these for the WTC to do some privateering on our enemies, and escape to safety from the righteous anger of @Bregir. So why don't I just use black flag ships? Well, If I used Black Flag ships, I'd be subject to privateering actions, and essentially would end up attacking everyone, when my list of enemies does not (yet!) include everyone. So, this is an excellent feature, but unless something changes, I won't be using it.

@LM71Blackbird, Uh maybe? this is the one which ran in october. You have ships in it though, so maybe not?
-
Wow! Excellent builds all around! I especially love the Pig temple, the shaping is fantastic. The Physical build is great as well, and I really appreciate the creativity that went into all this. Side note, where are ya'll making camp? If you plan to establish a settlement, you will need a map location for it.
-
Very nice build @Bart, good to have you back from the high seas! The Gold smelting scene is done very well, and I like how clean the build is.

Got a new ship planned. Any advice is appreciated. I think I got the shape right. Not sure about the colour scheme, or if it needs any more colours. WIP ship by North White, on Flickr WIP ship by North White, on Flickr WIP ship by North White, on Flickr
