  1. I like this one turned out. The troops are posed quite well, and the bridge came together decently as well. My one suggestion would have been to put a line of masonry bricks on the underside of the Brick, to make it look thicker. It doesn't distract from the build, though, and I love how it came together!
  2. I like the design @Bodi, and I think it looks pretty decent, though it could benefit from more curves and smoothness. It's certainly pretty unique on the Brick Seas, and I think it turned out well.
  3. neat build, it turned out very well, and I like the technique you used for water. Nice bearskin shakos. I should look into getting them, though they're trending at about 5 USD to get more than 2 of them Wish Lego would actually put them in a set.
  4. Neat little build @LM71Blackbird! Ilike how put together it is.
  5. Good start @Edmund Babbington. You'll have to find a photo hosting website, Eurobricks can't host more than a few small images for profile tags. Personally, I recommend flickr, but they have a photo limit before they start charging you. Imgur, and photobucket work well too. Let us know if you have any questions
  6. I suppose that's a good point. I eagerly await your builds in the city!
  7. I like you're build @Keymonus, I think it all came together pretty well. I would say though, I'm disappointed by the subject matter of the build. It's similar to what I posted on @Bodi's mcra build, but we've had so many beach invasion scenes (A whole category of Era I challenge 5 comes to mind) and the KPA actually gave you guys a pretty interesting hook in my opinion. I really would have loved to have seen this scene, or something more interesting than 'Bluecoats on the Beach' x2. If anything, it feels like ya'll just had this too prepared. Again, no negative comments on the actual build, or even story, mostly just complaints on the subject matter.
  8. I like how this build turned out, the brook looks great, and I like the variation of scatter. Great addition to the settlement!
  9. I like the idea for the build, and All of the buildings look fine. It just needs more to break it up.
  10. Thanks for the excellent write up @Capt Wolf, and the court for bringing this all together.
  11. Simple, yet effective. Good idea for a sister ship build.
  12. Excellent as usual @Ayrlego, I love the Character and realism of your builds. It adds a level of detail unparalleled on the Brick Seas. The Green jackets look amazing, and I love how the ivy looks on the building, and the roof tiles. If I could add two critiques, I don't like the clone brand torsos, I think they're a ok for troops that are kinda in the background, but to use them for every Corrish soldier doesn't jive it for me. Second, I think you could have rounded the corners just a teeny bit more. it looks a little more square than I've seen in some of your other builds. All in All though, amazing build!
  13. Very neat, @Bodi, but I'm a little miffed that it's just a beach scene. Ya'll are having an epic invasion, I'd love to see it! (May eat my words when my Namere AMCRA comes to a head)
  14. *checks COR Fleet Stats* Why on Earth does a Range 0 have a 5 in Maneuver?!?
  15. Great Build @LM71Blackbird! I really like how this one turned out. The landscaping and the wall make give it the extra character I like to see in a build. It is Always a good idea to give us a challenge...
  16. Excellent Techniques, and great scene. I really like how you did the stone work, while keeping true to Classic Pirates style. Great Job!
  17. Congratulations Winners! I really liked a lot of the techniques I saw, and thank you @Professor Thaum for putting this on!
  18. Turned out very well @NOD! I like how smooth and clean the build is.
  19. Because it's Grape Flavored!
  20. Thanks for the Feedback Everyone! Thanks! I went for a small aproatch with Vignettes this time, rather than risk overdoing it. I kinda feel like the palace might have overdone it a bit. Invade?!? The Province of Gondova is unrightfully occupied, and it'll take the righteous work of WTC Military Advisors to sort things out! Thanks! Thanks Thaum! I am far too big a fan of mixing fleshy and yellow figs, but I don't think I'll change this detail anytime soon, as I just prefer to mix them rather than just commit to either. I'll look into this. Let me know what you think after I do a figbarf. Thanks Khorne! I'll continue to keep working on my photography, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story. Well, those are complete opposite opinions!
  21. @Darnok Thanks! the fixed photos show a lot more of the build. The 1600 Lumen one really helped, but now it's brighter than my SAD lamp!
  22. Early 619.... Agnes Mesabi knew that the odds were grim. With only 120 decently trained soldiers (4 Companies), she knew they would need some intel if they ever wanted to succeed. She ordered any and all supplies moved from the Blue Moon Tavern, and waited until order was restored to the city by the Nameren Government. A warehouse was procured, licensed under the WTC name, and loaded with their supplies. The WTC stood guard, and bribes kept the city watch at bay. From this point of operations, the Rebels began Agnes's plan. They waited for things to calm down in the city, and quietly began observing troop numbers and positions. Foot Patrols were logged, and a count of Soldiers began. And an Inside man was able to gather more intelligence with some hefty bribes. With these, the Rebels were able to get a decent idea of the amount of Troops in the city, and a count of the Palace Guards. With calculated Note Taking, Agnes's Plan came together..... TO BE CONTINUED... So, I've wanted to continue this AMCRA for a while now, it's been one of my main goals since returning. Originally, I kinda wrote myself into a corner a bit the first time around, as I was leaning for a more conflict oriented story, but that really didn't work with the rules well at the time, and with my low troop numbers, poorly defined goals.... ...well y'all should get why I hit a block. Anyways, I'd say that I hope this set of builds fixes the issues with the story, and gets it up and running again. I backdated this to Spring of 619, and I hope to bring the story forwards to the present. The Warehouse build I built for this sometime last year, probably in the spring. I originally had a street scene for it planned, but It just ended up taking away from the build. I popped off the street part, and it looks pretty decent on its own, so I'm pretty happy with it. I will license it as a small commercial in the old world. The Sewer scene turned out decently, I feel. Originally it was supposed to be filled with trash, or at the very least a bit of junk, but I couldn't figure out a good way to make it look decent. The Palace I think turned out pretty well. I was running a bit thin on bricks then, so it might look a bit sparse. I also should do a figbarf with the Nameren soldiers. Namere's colours are defined as Grey and Purple, but the options for those colours on minifigs are decently limited. I decided to go for First Order Officer Torsos and white legs for the default Nameren soldiers, and Kylo Renn's body and legs for the Officer. My original plan was to have more variations for different provinces, but It would just get a bit too confusing at a point. So, for future reference: Gondovian Rebels = Light Grey with fewer formal uniforms, some small colour accents Nameren Military = Black Uniform with White accents, officers having different variations. Story Wise, I might do some retcons for character backgrounds. I like the Promethean stuff, but looking back I think it kinda took over some aspects of the stories, so I'm definitely going to change the details going forwards. They were originally 'Secret Society-Religion / Ninjas' but I think I will replace it with "Offshoot of the Faith with secretive tendencies, a slightly warrior culture, and more than a few anarchists." But if anyone has any suggestions, let me know. C&C appreciated, but please hold off for a day or two if you have any comments on the lighting, I'll be fixing that tomorrow or Thursday. I have fixed the Photos! You may proceed with photo criticisms! It was a rainy day, so I grabbed a second lamp, but it had a yellowish tinge to the lighting, which clashed with my usual Sunlamp. I like the effect, I could see some shots where it would look great for sunsets, but here it doesn't work great. I got a 1600 Lumen lightbulb for the second lamp today, but I did not have enough time to retake the photos before work. GM STUFF: Goals: GMs, please let me know how feasible / achievable these goal are. If they do not fit within the system, let me know and I will change them. Also @ GMs: @Bregir, @Ayrlego , @Capt Wolf (and whomever else) I'd like input as to how many soldiers the city has. If possible, split into these areas: (See map) The Palace: The Docks: Midtown: Uppertown: Additionally don't forget to deduct funds for bribes. C&C appreciated, please let me know if I'm asking too much in the AMCRA, or if there's anything I should be doing differently.
  23. Any particular story? Or just behind the scenes stuff?
  24. Turned out very nicely @Keymonus, Can't wait to get those MCRA results back! Will be cool what happens, no matter what.
  25. Thanks Bregir! .
