  1. Know what? I'm also not satisfied with the look, is not looking bad but Lego building is also about modifiing... So I modify the front to match the real Arocs or my virtual Truck mix of MB, MAN, Iveco, Scania and Volvo... :D :D :D Max.. :*
  2. Hmm I want a really nice RC car... :D :D :D What does mean IP ??? Max...
  3. :) When I am looking on that yellow 4L half liftarm at the beginning of the arm near cabin, if we take out the red 2L axle, we can manipulate with the middle section of arm... then we can use the tan friction less long pin... :) Max...
  4. I don't think that Anio wanted to make ZO6 incompetent but he wanted to point on some things that was not mentioned in review. When I'm interested in some Lego set I DO NOT MAKE MY OPINION FROM ONE REVIEW... I always read more reviews and then I make summary... I think that ZO6 made a real good work, photos etc... Other EB users are here to add and extend the reviews when they have experience with the set... I don't think that this review is useless... Every review got a CONTRIBUTION... every... it's a editors look on the set... his own opinion... When ZO6 would not create this topic and review I would probably didn't know that such a set exists because do not look for every set from the past... The reason that ZO6 made a work to create review and other EB users have written their experience make from this topic great source of information... That's forum... Thanks to all... ;) Max...
  5. Realy nice buggy... i like it... :) Didn't you try to use L motors instead XL? Buggy would be faster... :) Max...
  6. Hmm small and sweet... but proportions of arm sections are not the best... I would not force use the 3-7 liftarms... maybe combination of half liftarms... and I would use only small wheels... but it's nice... :) Max...
  7. I like it too... I like the car curves, paneling and details... then easy to use mechanism for opening doors and folding wheels... It's like a toy from toy shop... :) Max...
  8. In real life the last section (jib) folds up in opposite way... When I become my Arocs next week I try to place middle pneumatic valve on the top and try to make it as in real life or I do the same modification as Cumulonimbus did because I like the folded booms too... :) It seems that versions with bigger bucket remain bucket during transport just in the dump... Max...
  9. Everyone abuse TLG for often use of red color... and when they come with white cabin people like more red... :D But it looks great in red... Maybe because everywhere are images of white Arocs... :) Max...
  10. A lot of smaller sets... I would better buy smaller amount of bigger sets... UCS Crawler is good... and I see 42042 hidden on the left? Max...
  11. Hmm... very good work... I like that you have not copied that stupid ideas with motors etc... Max...
  12. OK, I found it... I was looking on my posted picture... As I said the axis is connected to the steering arm in the middle... I thought that this middle steering arm does not move... that is hard attached on the left side to the left block and this block is hard attached to chassis above via 2 blue long pins... But the middle steering arm is attached to 2 yellow 2L beams that can move up/down... so the steering arm can also move... Max...
  13. When I look in instructions the front axis is connected at the top via new steeting arm in the middle... So there's side inclination point of the whole front axle and suspension is dependent... The axle transmits also no power to wheels... Max...
  14. Yes you're right... I have just awaited more trust from the 3D propellers... They are nicer, smaller and designed for opposite direction to zero the vibrations... I have geared up the simple propellers on my video and archieved very good trust... On video is state before gearing up... Max...
  15. Thanx! I wanted to check the front suspension and this helped me to find out that Arocs got pendular suspension... Also nice to see how the steering works... :) Max...
  16. Great video Pawel! I was waiting for it! But I have awaited more trust... Try to gear it up! I have awaited something like this: Max...
  17. I'll do it too... with the help of Efferman and Shapeways... :DDD Max... :)
  18. Congrats! You deserved it! It looks really good... A lot of nice details... :) Max... :)
  19. Hi guys, I'm waiting for my official MB Arocs and until it comes, I shorten the time with working on it's mini version... :) I couldn't resist and wanted to show you some funny functions :) The truck got: - 4 axles, front 2 steered - opening dump - 3 sections mobile crane + grabber The main feature for me is the mobile crane. That was the reason to build the whole truck. I wanted to make the crane as small and simple as possible, with many functions. The crane will be in future placed on turntable. 5 functions of crane: (3 remote controlled) - lowering/rising of section 1 - lowering/rising of section 2 - extending/retracting of section 3 + manual function - opening/closing of grabber/clamshell bucket + crane rotation (future) To-do: - controlled rotation of turntable - complete dump lifted via small LA - complete nice looking tilting(?) cabin - maybe engine with moving pistons - maybe bigger distance between front 2 axles and maybe different steering angles - ... I made a short simple video for you, maybe you like it... :) It take a little bit time to make it complete, but here is the actual status... :) Max...
  20. OMG... that's wheel hub??? I was the whole time thinking about what it is... I like the front light too... Very nice detail... :) Max...
  21. Yes, the 42009 was not difficult to build but a lot of time consuming... I built it in 3 nights, each 3-4 hours... So totaly 10-12 hours... I don't remember exactly... Max...
  22. The problem on Nico76's front suspension was small steering angle... the lower part of shock was to near to wheel hub... and the whole attachment of suspension to chassis was to weak and often popped out... So I redesigned the whole front suspension and chassis to meet my requirements... ...and I wanted to make it as in real trophy truck... :) Max...
  23. Yes, that's right... I extended them as you can see it on my photo... But as you said, your truck is probably smaller... My is from Nico71 and I modified many parts on it... Max...
  24. Yesss... :) Lovely... :) ...I felt in love in smaller models... I'm working on one small too... :) As I see you like your bus a lot when you make additional photos... It's a nice copy of the real one... :) Nice composition on photo.. :) Max...
  25. Hi TNLD, OK, it looks OK... :) I have used the same suspension arms but made them wider for more stability... Attachment on only one pin came me to weak for my purposes and harder tests... I wanted to make the same arms as in real BJ Baldwins Trophy Truck... The lower A arm is wide and goes to rear and above it are placed massive shocks (or 2 shocks) so the upper arm goes to front to remain upper place free for shocks... So I made it the same way... I used also bigger shocks in front... It's only Idea... :) Here example of real Trophy Truck Front suspension: http://image.fourwheeler.com/f/84657885+w+h565+q80+re0+cr1/brenthel-industries-spec-trophy-truck-6100-front-suspension.jpg Max...
