Thanks guys! Just keep an eye out for the counterpart build on this forum, Stas! (Haven't started building yet, though.)
-
I personally think Nocturnus can't be represented by one person, since many members have their own specific niche. I understand that you can't fit many builds for every guild on a single poster, but it may be nice to (also) have a poster per guild. Quite tough matter to deal with here. edit: oh, seems like you ninja'd me, Sk!

Thanks for the review! Certainly getting this wonderful set. What you mention in the video about the combination of an excellent build and many new pieces was exactly what I experienced with the Master Wu Dragon. Back then, I counted 77 different pieces that were new to my collection in that single set!

Cavalry Stable-avalonia task 4-helenia

Oh, lovely! Nice roofing techniques used here and there are many details that add to the scene. The stone pavement is a good touch, as are the fencing and the "keep off scoundrel knights!" scarecrow. Keep on improving, mlongworth! -
Quite an accurate presentation of a small scale quarry, the rockwork is nice indeed, with the different colours blended in. I would suggest to texture the plain studded surfaces a little more, with small tiles for example.
-
The rockwork is pretty nice indeed, it certainly has a canyon look to it! A suggestion, if I may: you could blend in some tan/orange-ish bricks with the rockwork. Also, a few tan tiles to smoothen out the sand for a little. But this doesn't mean that you didn't create a beautiful scene; very nice work here! The angle, the sharp object shades and the colour filter as well are all very neat!

Grilling turkey with lightsabers? Check! The Dark Side sure knows how to party, but have you heard it yet? Luke's arrival totally BLEW it! Great ambiance all around, great work!

Well, the Samurai X Cave + Ultra Stealth Raider gives you the complete team of ninja and the sensei (all same variant of robes), plus a relatively complete representation of all villain factions in this wave. That may go over your budget, though. If you can get past the figs, I think the set can perfectly be displayed without any of the other sets.

Thanks a lot, SK! Thank you! Great idea for making a scene to go with this build, I may try that. Thanks! What will come next? Well, the natural counterpart of a samurai is a ninja... Thanks, Kalhiki! The legs can be brought further inwards. I wasn't able to give him the typical four arms because I needed the lower pair of attachments for the clip-on-a-bar + exo-force arms which is where the entire back/shoulder/head gear section attaches. Pythor might get some love next time... Well, as I said, Samurago is quite a bit different; here he might be the Lightning ruler!

Great work on the architecture here! Your choice of having the dragon eyes facing forward instead of outwards - which is more common for European dragons - is interesting. Good work!
-
Your trees never cease to amaze me! This one has an especially curvy trunk; it looks magnificent! The small table is really neat as well and the soil has just the right components in the right ratios! Spectacular work!

Pretty accurate, since these represent the teachers... They are real MONSTERS!!! To be honest, the dino is actually pretty cute and has good articulation too and come on: who doesn't love dinosaurs!

Oh, that's great! I thought the deadline had almost been reached, silly me! I may be able to build an entry then

Review Review: 70595 Ultra Stealth Raider
Exetrius replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks for the fantastic review! Neat set which doesn't fit in my budget anymore because of all the other Ninjago stuff this year. I'm very happy to see the two new facial expressions on Cole and Yang's amazing torso! -
70595 Review by BobDeQuatre, on Flickr Finally a look at Yang's torso and face and Cole's face: both are superb! Jay's face update looks less like Jay in the show, imo, but Cole's new expressions are spot-on!

Wow, those are really nice! I really like how they went all the way with the scary, 'gothic'-like design of Ragana (and here structures in general). The castle is too pricey for my budget atm, but I'm really digging the look of that set (and the parts as well). Way to go, Elves!

the classic smile is a perfect pokerface... Nope, holds no clues! "Who is the Troll?" featuring CM4sci, amazingbricks, Brickjagger and others! I bet he'll just start building... So I recently got an extra Maleficent as a birthday gift from my sister, great fig to get a spare of. The horns go great with all sorts of faces, really useful.- 4,155 replies

Truely stunning technique, wow! In some way, the eyes really help to imagine this tree fit into the fantastic backstory you wrote for it, great mystical atmosphere. Couldn't help thinking: what if.. you were to snot the bark with those eyes? Just my curiosity for unusual things, I suppose!
-
Big thumbs-up on the whole scene! The tree is the best part of it, in my opinion, especially the roots totally finish it. NPU on the rock spikes! The rest of the forest floor is pretty nice as well and it is also interesting how you kind of break the fourth wall with that stream.

Great build, looks neat from all angles! The roofing is very nice indeed and the staircase leading up to the balcony and entrance just gives it that extra flair. I'm also a fan of the walls, the slight angles add to the realism. Well done, I hope to see you once in a while with a fantasy build!

Somewhere in a realm similar to Ninjago, yet quite a bit different... Samukai The honoured shogun of the kingdom of Samurago, is getting ready to lead his troops into battle. What enemy is he up against? Well, according to his loyal spy, it's a skeletal serpentine pirate.. creature. Whatever... Pirathor D. Skellington I've finally come around posting this build. Pirathor is just a tablescrap build, though, but I thought I'd include him anyway. C&C appreciated!
