The dragon is a beauty, refreshing colour scheme, muscular looks and sturdy enough for pose and play, judging from the picture. The landscape does its job, the earthy toned wedge plates and a bit of olive green stalks here and there come out especially well as an out-of-focus background. I like your feline humanoids as well. Looking forward to the next part, MK!

I especially like the Migardian one, nice roof, balcony and barrel pillars, but the Avalonian one is also elegant!
-
The outside is very clean, and has moderate but elegant details. The roof has a nice shape, but I agree with the others; could use some tiles. The furniture on the interior looks good, but I think it's too clean, as in: there is no liveliness to it. You could add a burning candle and a letter on the desk, a chair, some spices in the closet; those kind of things. And something to cover up the technic pins on the upper floor. But, it's a nice building nonetheless.

The combination of odd ideas and a very solid execution makes this build so fantastic! So yeah, a gigantic medieval sandwich, a pentagonal house with V-shaped walls and U-shaped roof, a lovely tree and great minifigure details, awesome!

The runes are cool, yet on further inspection, parts usage on the foreground is more interesting! The stacks of brown 1x1 studs attached on the side and topped off with brown frogs for a sort of river bank detail is quite extraordinary!

Fantastic work on the hut, especially the roof, but also the curved wall! The vegetation and minifigure activity are nice as well. Great build!

Enough internet for today...

Usually, I'm not very impressed by huge, 'simple' brick statues, but this is a cool one. The chain, the lightning and the bonsai tree really add some extra flair. For DC, images for the Mighty Micros have just been revealed, so I hope we will have a set reveal as well in advance of SDCC.

Nexo Knights Chess Set (LDD MOC)
Exetrius replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Cool, elegant board and well-designed pieces, despite the relatively low parts count! I like how you did black's knights, I'd totally play around with their heads. Good work, Lyichir! One thing that I have to remark though (being a chess player myself): the square in the left-hand corner has to be black, or, put in different words: the queen stands on a square matching her colour.- 5 replies

Epic vignette, love the figure, the ready-to-strike pose, the rockwork and the brick-built shield in particular! I just can't figure out how he's holding that, would you mind letting us know?

I'd be completely in for that! In the show, they are actually far too overpowered (if handled correctly, that is) with all those abilities. But if the abilities are in the weapons, then it depends on the skills of the wielder. Also, let's face it: real ninja have weapons, work from the shadows and are super stealthy, very much unlike how it is in the show atm. I'd be pleased to see these traditional elements back in the movie.

Hope and pray it will be a promotion for september then and not some kind of retail exclusive event promo...

GoH Freebuild: Dubbed Captain (Part 1 Of the End of Aeldric's Stor
Exetrius replied to halixon's topic in Guilds of Historica
Looking back at your previous chapter, it would appear this build is form an entirely different builder! Huge improvements, Windusky, and congratulations on the new title of Aeldric (poor Nocty vampire, though)! Nice emblem on the floor, cool pillars, torches and other furniture. The expressions on the figures are appropriate as well. Good work!- 12 replies

Thank you for proposing this idea, Keter, and for providing a foothold for how to set this up. Personally, I would love to discover Historica and its various creations through an interactive map, rather than a list of links. I think with a function like clicking on a city (or other geographical name) to show the MOCs in that area, it is manageable. It also makes it easier for the builder to tell the moderator where to put it, especially if you stick to working with general locations, under which you put the creations. With 'general', I'm thinking like mountain ranges, deserts, forests and plains, which could be split in a north/south/east/west part depending on their size, and cities, which includes surrounding lands and smaller towns. This way, there won't be a need to constantly add new locations (though it is possible if a certain area name gets too crowded with MOCs) and it also still allows for exploring new areas beyond the resolution of the map, a freedom that builders should always have. These are my thoughts for now.

The total amount of doooom was a little disappointing here, but nice figs, Lothos! The high Justices of the Alliance are the best, imo.

Lego 5004393 - Ninjago Cole Exclusive Package by Gnaat Lego, on Flickr Oh man, I want it sooo bad.... Also, really like this new expression! Thanks for sharing, onikari!

No idea who "the guys" are and where "here" is, but if it's not exciting, I presume it does not include any figs, big builds or unlocks new levels/worlds. If that is correct, then I would guess microbuilds that add a vehicle in-game or extra currency or something.
-
Certainly! In fact, almost all Cole torso and legs combos look great. I want to assemble a 'Cole' faction army some time in the near future.

"4th times a charm?" Because they'll surely overpower him with their numbers, one by one.. by one... by one.... *minion slaughter intensifies*

[REVIEW] Ninjago | 70593 - The green NRG dragon
Exetrius replied to sweetsha's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I was already sure of my purchase when I saw the official images and I've held off reading/viewing reviews to avoid the spoiling of my building experience. That's why I'm checking this out so late. Anyway, thanks for your review! -
Absolutely lovely creation! The garden in front and the furniture inside give it a very nice atmosphere and the roof looks nice to me, good balance between tiles and studs there. It would look great next to the Starlight Inn!

Good continuation of the story! The street scenes are nice, the 'lamppost angle' and the view at the mausoleum are rather nice shots actually! The mausoleum is a nice build, it definitely has that old, sinister, dungeon-y vibe to it. (I think the farmer is a cameo, but I'm not sure) Great work!
