  1. Thank you all very much for your positive and kind comments! Yeah, well, I guess you can't have everything No, it's just the only floor plan I came up with, where there's enough room for the elevator, two rooms with separate bathrooms and where no wall collides with any window. The elevator is designed the same way like LEGO did it in the town hall (You can find some pictures in the review thread). The only difference is that my elevator "opens" on two adjacent sides (which is totally unrealistic). The yellow doors are the elevator doors. I had almost all bricks (thanks to a Star Wars loving husband there's a huge grey brick collection ). I had to order only some of the white rounded window frames and a few dark grey slopes. That's understandable. I wanted a contrast to the rather monochrome colours on the outside and I like Friends. So that was the perfect choice for me
  2. Hello everyone, about two years ago my husband and I decided to build our own version of the Cafe Corner since the original LEGO set was already too expensive. I switched some colours, replaced rare bricks with less expensive alternative bricks and added some details on the inside. After this long period it was time for some restoration and renovation. I didn't like the colours anymore and it didn't match my other modulars very well. So, here it is, the new version of the Cafe Corner. One level added, a new floor plan and new furnishings and decorations. The cafe on the ground floor mainly stayed the same. There are now two modern and stylish rooms on the second and third floor, each with en-suite bathroom. The biggest and most comfortable room is located on the top floor. More pictures of the old and the new Cafe Corner can be found here.
  3. Now that is HUGE. Wow. But what I love most about this are the details on the inside!
  4. The town hall is very impressive. Wonderful details and great part usage on the facade. I also like the theatre very much.
  5. Wonderful build!
  6. I like the modern and clean architecture of this building. There are some great details like the trees, the security cameras, the shower next to the pool and the quadcopter. The interior is wonderful, too.
  7. So cute I like that almost every penguin has a different beak.
  8. Another great building from you! I really like that asymmetric front of the night club. The pidgeons are also a nice touch. That poor guy cleaning up their mess
  9. Beautiful building! I like the colour combination. The dark blue, white and lime green work very well together. The interior is wonderful, too. If I were a minifigure that would be a nice house to live in.
  10. Love this build! It's a very clever idea to use the facade of the building as an entrance to the fantasy world. Everything is so colourful and joyful
  11. Hi everyone I wanted to build something with these cylinder hemisphere parts for a long time. I finally bought two of them and here's what I came up with so far: An oasis in the desert with a small caravan (strictly speaking, can you call it a caravan if there's only one camel? ): And then there's this little fellow, a tortoise: I still have some other ideas on my mind. Hopefully I will be able to build them.
  12. So cute! Especially love the face, the feet and the flower
  13. Two of my modular buildings are based on real ones: My main post office, which I haven't posted here before, is based on an actual post office in my home town: My book shop is based on a canal house I saw during my visit in Amsterdam last year.
  14. As I said before this is a great building. I like the facade, especially since I saw the picture of the original building in the other thread. But the interiors and minifigures are the best parts. The faces of those two guys at the roulette table Well done!
  15. 1) Janitor Entry (Build by Yatkuu) - 1 point 44) Ballerina Entry (Build by QBeat) - 1 point 48) Ballerina Entry (Build by Pakita) - 1 point
  16. 16) Series 8 - Cheerleader Entry (Build by Leopold) - 1 point 48) Series 1 - Super Wrestler Entry (Build by crises_crs) - 1 point 72) Series 13 - Sheriff Entry (Build by LittleJohn) - 1 point
  17. Wonderful building! I love the colour scheme and that it opens up. It has a somehow peaceful atmosphere.
  18. Great addition to this modular! My favourite parts are the juke box and the cabinets behind the counter. The counter itself appears to be a bit too low in my opinion, maybe just 1 plate is missing in height.
  19. Interesting concept very well executed! But I keep wondering: what on earth is the purpose of this building? The only thing I can come up with is some kind of planetarium.
  20. Love it There are so many great details that create a wonderful atmosphere. I especially like the small balcony, the green blinds and the awning ... and everything else.
  21. Great build! Gru is instantly recognizable.
  22. Thanks again for your wonderful feedback
  23. Looks like book stores are popular these days I love the double height facade. The panorama window technique is very effective and the colours you used work very well together. Just the second yellow level looks a bit too high in my opinion. But I can't really tell why. Anyways, it's a great building! Well done!
