  1. I found a old toy car yesterday and i have decided that i'm building it. https://flic.kr/p/sqfLv6 It appears to be a crashtender in police style. I believe it had a water cannon on the roof but i'm not sure. So, im building one. 8 blocks wide and fits 4 minifigures. I currently only have the frame but im planning to use the empty space in it for a technic crane like Diesel-10 from thomas and friends. I choose white because that is the only colour where i could build it of. https://flic.kr/p/tmP8qU https://flic.kr/p/tn9zCp
  2. I always use bags with numbers. I actually never sa one without numbers except those promotion sets that you get on events. The searching is terrible for e. Some times i end up searching for pieces that are right in front of me! No i will NEVER want a sent with not numbered bags.
  3. That will be cool! Funny that I'm also building a train of the same design. Although mine is a 0-10-0
  4. The locomotive looks cool but pretty basic. Not wrong but i would suggest some more detail on the sides. And the coaches, well i could not do it better but the observation coach, Kinda to simple. Try some decorations. And the beavertails have more sloped ends. And the sloped window Is bigger than on the LDD design. I suggest yellow sloped bricks (roof pieces) and transparent ones for the window like the tiny turbos. And sloped bricks under the window for a more accurate design. This may sound like a lot of problems but the overall design is pretty nice!
  5. Epic! Reminds me of a Osprey.
  6. Lovely! Although it is rickety. But that is not a problem as logging trains ARE rickety.
  7. That's something i like. Man those passenger coaches look wonderful!
  8. I believe they LEGO City osprey has a chainsaw. Maybe expensive for only a chainsaw but I recommend the set for everyone.
  9. That is nor REALY fast. The trains that are driving in my home town are called 'sneltrams' and it basically means fast trams. Don't know why, they are just normal EMU's. Sorry i need to stay on topic:)
  10. Wonderful!! Fun fact: dutch nickname of this train was 'swimming goggles' due to the shape of the front windows.
  11. some creator sets have 'house type doors'. Those would look more old. I think that's the most old look you could get. Or a brickbuild door. Edit: nice layout! Your turntable certainly looks great!
  12. I know its stupid to reply but i know why they did this. The railways did not have enough coal so they used steam locomotives with electric stuff in it as a main power source. There was always a small fire in the firebox so if there were no overhead wires they could just use steam. A very clever solution in my opinion.
  13. You could try to get some cheap coaches on ebay.
  14. A dutch website has it already on it. 'Date of release unknown'
  15. I'm building a g 5/5 and i need power functions. (I'm trying to make this topic as short a possible because chrome crashes to much when on this website.) I have no idea how power functions work as I'm used to old RC baseplates What i need: receiver, motor, controller, battery box. Very simple: as cheap as possible, easy to configurate and motor powers the drivers. I'm planning to run the train at low speeds. Hope you guys can help me!
  16. I'm working on a bayern G5/5 steam locomotive. And as the title suggests: i want to power it. But as i'm more into the older RC giant baseplates i know nothing about power functions and the motors i should use. I'm planning to make the receiver and the battery box in the tender but i don't know how i should do the powering. For me it's most likely to use a motor with those rubber bands and some gears. What whould be the best solution? What i need: motor, receiver, controller and battery box. As cheap as possible. As less space needed. I hope you guys can help me!
  17. MINECRAFT and Trainz MAC.
  18. I realized that everyone hates apple?!
  19. oops, i did not even see how old this topic was:)
  20. wonderful! I like that piece between the lights at the front! I don't know what it is but it looks good! Maybe some space-coaches behind it?
  21. My signature says everything.
  22. hi, i really want to make some steam engines but i don't have the important parts, the wheels. Does someone know where to buy them. I thought about buying on the lego side (emerald night wheels) but I want to know if there is a way to get cheaper wheels. Does someone know where to get them? I searched on bricklink but could not find any wheels. Maybe you guys could give me some URL's for where to get large lego steam locomotive wheels. Thank you
  23. that's something special! Great job with the boiler! I love the amount of detail you put into it!
