  1. I'm not too bothered what colour it is. I'm not too bothered as to whether or not it has PF built in. I'm not too bothered how many parts it has or what it weighs. All I do know is that it looks an amazing set, I will buy at least one and have a great deal of fun building it. As for having to wait until the 1st August well that's normal for 2H sets and has been that way for the last view years, so a bit of patience is called for, plenty of things to keep me busy until then.
  2. We have seen the Power Functions re worked a number of times, (and possibly updated again with WeDo 2.0) and last year with 42043 a reworking of pneumatics, I'm not going to ask for studded bricks back, but I would like to see a reworking of the 'Flex' system I felt it had a lot of potential that wasn't taken advantage of, and would like to see it return.
  3. I have this built, for some reason it has stayed built since I brought it, the problem now is the 'Flex' just bends as it has lost its stiffness. I wish Lego had done more with the 'Flex' system
  4. Surely this is a 6x2? Reasoning - first figure is total number of wheels on the ground, second figure is the number of driven wheels.
  5. Wherever possible I convert the steering so that it is on the 'Right' side
  6. Can't find an 'Ultimate 8860' but it does have an excellent review on this very forum http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=76320&st=25 I suppose this was the Ultimate Porsche of its day
  7. This little one http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/1257_Tricycle 24 parts in total, but still has working suspension
  8. I have two of these, both currently unbuilt, maybe I need to change that
  9. I was thinking micro motors on the front and back wheels, but this might produce excess cabling and also a bit pricey http://alpha.bricklink.com/pages/clone/catalogitem.page?P=2986#T=C
  10. Oh they donate a LOT of money and time as well
  11. I get very exited about large machinery, as I used to make my living driving/operating it and am still licence to drive most of it. As for girly colours a local transport company has all it's vehicles painted Pink in support of breast cancer awareness, so imagine 42043 in pink , Hmm goes of to check Bricklink for Pink parts
  12. Wished they'd had this in my day used to spend all day pulling on one track to keep a straight line, main problem was the pins that held the track links together wore unevenly, only computer we had was the one on top of my neck
  13. I suppose its down to playability - Tracks can be taken apart and used in a lot of different ways (plus they help bump the piece count), whereas a big thick rubber band has limited uses.
  14. How about they make it in 4 or 6 colours but still produce the box with the camo pattern car, therefore you have no idea what colour you are getting until you open the box. I can see a lively trade in unwanted colours
  15. Any Lego set as purely a display item sounds stupid, as at the end of the day it's all designed to be played with, even the UCS sets, However like a lot of AFOL's I build and display my sets and have no interest in the 'playability' of any of the sets, for me it's more about the construction than the playing. But that's just me.
  16. May be they left a brick separator in whist building
  17. IP car is reported to be similar in size to 8880 which sounds good to me 8880 is possibly 2nd on my list of all time favorites. Not too bothered about what actual model it is likely to represent, just so long as it has a decent set of functions and is a suitably challenging build for that price point.
  18. Received this set as a Christmas present, a good fun build, and a lot for your money, question is, do I now go and buy one for myself to do the 'B' model
  19. That would be me, showed it to the other half who was also amazed.
  20. Wonderful review, thank you. I think this is my favorite of the 1H sets I've seen so far 8856 was a favorite of mine (and still on display), unfortunately 9396 was during my dark ages.
  21. I'm interested in what the 'B' models will be, if we are going to get UCS type sets at the prices above then surely the 'B' model has got to have some sort of interest factor to it as well, or will they at this price stop doing a 'B' model?
