Great colors and exceptional build as always Ayrlego! The building technique on the walls is the most efficient I've seen so far using (almost) solely brick profile bricks because with only a simple array of bricks other than those profile ones, you really broke that monotonous look it would otherwise had (I hope that sentence really makes sense ).

[OL FB] Church of Poseidon - Mesabi Landing

GREAT whale skeleton! It is the most bizzare chapel I have ever seen and I love it! Makes sense from a mariner's point of view! That makes two of us! -

[OL-FB] 36-gun frigate "le Hussard"
blackdeathgr replied to Bodi's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
How on earth have I missed this?!?! Fortunately frontpaging team is here! Great ship all around and the rigging really makes it look like a true gem! I especially like the photo from above with the two ships in comparison. Really helps to showcase the size. Vive le Roi! P.S: You can now decorate it with cristmas led lights for the festivities (because, you know...not every country uses cristmas trees ). I for once, will do the same with 70413. -
Oups! My "French" are getting rusty... Nah, If there is going to be anything after the current "Roi" as far as I am concerned, it is going to be an Emperor and the State! Muhahahaha!

Thank you for your time and effort! Great facts indeed. -
I agree ... for the sails unfolded the real sail is better that

I like that Eltina is well protected for now with a merry band of underpaid, strangely equiped legionnaires! Vive le Rois! MOC-wise, I really like the building with the narrow windows (something era appropriate for semi-military buildings)

Nice one! You can never go wrong with 1x1 round tiles posing as stones "irregularly" placed- 8 replies

Yay to the glorious Byzantine navy! Regarding greek fire, you should add a siphon-like tube in her bow as that's how it is believed it was administered (presurized most probably). You've even used purple, denoting that this ship was administered directly by someone of the High Court of Constantinople as purple was the royal color and was banned by others to use.

Hey, I really like your ship although a bit bulky but as always, your presentation is top notch! I even shivered at the site of your surgeon. Plus I am a sucker for group photos so the ones with the sailors etc are nice too. P.S: I also wiki-ed the stormglass device you mentioned. The follies a man falls sometimes into, are unbelievable... Definitely not Corries at their best (assumingly it were Corrington scientists that invented this...thing)...

Galley, La Capitana, Chapmann plate LVIII no.18
blackdeathgr replied to Anders T's topic in Pirate MOCs
Pirates need something to pray upon nonetheless! Plus I imagine that there are some city lovers out there, ready to be converted to our cause (so as to build a peaceful merchant harbour city of the past - that isn't being raided and plundered). So, let's show them the way to the bright side -
Now that are some really nice ships I could build with my limited brick supply ;-)

Galley, La Capitana, Chapmann plate LVIII no.18
blackdeathgr replied to Anders T's topic in Pirate MOCs
Anders T. we are always eagerly awaiting for you posting your next ship, especially the age of sails ones, Napoleonic Wars etc (yeah, happy times when a round piece of stone or metal mauled you in nearly unimaginable ways ) so not need to worry if we comment or not. After all you haven't earned your ship expert badge for sitting idle . Basically galleys like the one you designed, weren't the prettiest of ships around but they were plenty of them back at those days (along with felukas, dhows etc), so they deserve some love. Plus, new generation just press hearts and thumbs up these days instead of writing and this isn't easy in forums like ours . And of course as fellow BoBSer @Bodi mentioned, we are still drooling so we aren't commenting! Of to daydream when I will finally have the time to build something close to Thérèse...
