  1. I am sure that sailor at the far right of the pic, is eyeballing the waitress!!!!! AND he is smiling creepily!!!
  2. Hahahahahahaha, I just LOVE that beast!!!
  3. Sadly I have never been to Caribbean but I do know it because I am an armchair historian so to speak so I try to gather tons of historic facts about that era. A good and fun way to get involved is BoBS, so be sure to check it out as well. Well, the one with the plates is way better as it doesn't leave that gap which is distracting in my opinion (plus it looks sleeker with the plates)
  4. Very nice rendition of a some of the best golden age castles! I like the bigger round tower by the way.
  5. Hey, that makes us not only, long timers but sign-up buddies as well!!! Well, apart from what Ross heard about our guy, word is that Redbeard doesn't need to load his guns to sink ships. He merely looks at them and they sink themselves. Or you know, the one that he lent his sea turtles to Jack Sparrow to escape that island when he was stranded. Or... you never get Redbeard stranded. He gets stranded and "un"stranded by himself. And then he gets YOU stranded. Or that his now gray beard is merely a tuft of pig wool. What? The pigs don't have wool you say? Well, he made his Baraccuda Bay pig to grow wool all by himself! Etc etc. I'm sure more of you have already head about Redbeard's exploits...! That and THAT!!!
  6. Oh, and also making calculations upon calculations to see if I can afford the [LEGO IDEAS] 21322 Pirates of Barracuda Bay... Meh...
  7. I am at exactly that position minus the clicking of the buy button... Yes please! Make Cpt Redbeard an honorary NPC player or even a myth/lore character! He can become the Chuck Norris of BoBS!
  8. What a story and writing (...and the buzzing of bugs, that disgusting horde of tiny vampires...) ! And those brick profile bricks have never looked better As usual I like your close up pics too. Well, let's see if and who will find that treasure...
  9. Nice mods for a great ship!
  10. Finally found some time to contribute to my much beloved BoBS. 6257, 6260, 6259, 6246
  11. I will mod it to accomodate more crew/cannons/swivel guns, maybe a bell etc (and ofc photograph the hell out of it), then try to build another one (sistershipping ) as a prey... ahem... trader full of trade goods. Still, it is absolutely perfect as it is!
  12. Beautiful ship! I Its curves and the swivel gun at the bow look perfect! Although a slimmer rope/thread might do the trick better, I have also used that type of rope for various reasons (fits a minifig hand, stays put and doesn't untie by itself, is readily available at each and every hardware store in the planet, etc)
  13. Excellent storytelling indeed and nice accompanying MOCs!!!
  14. Slim to none for the next 2 years i guess. They went full on with this set. Hope never dies though
  15. Thanks Bodi! Well technically the two minifigs are a blend of Master Wu and a random civilian from the LEGO Ninjago Universe
  16. What a great entry! Nice team of minifigs and although flesh isn't my color (LEGOwise), I certainly don't mind looking at them in admiration! Nicely built hole too btw!
  17. Thanks Ayrlego! The more the better is always true and I believe I could circumvent the 32x32 base building upwards. Still time and bricks forbade it. The colorful clips (insert flags/laundry/whatever) were an afterthought mainly to break the reddish brown monotony. In the end, they were a highlight! Borrow at your leisure!
  18. That building looks cool, especially those arches at ground floor. Also nice selection of minifig torsos.
  19. Thanks Maxim! Initially I wanted to cramp many of those houses tightly but then I ran out of time (and some specialized bricks but that could be arranged). Regarding the pipe, there was a thought to turn it into a bbq device roasting fish but i think it looks better in its current use. I'm glad you liked it! The moment Challenge III began with an "asian" theme, I knew I had to include Marco Polo's journeys (or his distant cousin Pololieu that is)
  20. Poor guy (although a bigger flat is always handy - think a new and shiny LEGO room) It is definitely a really well thought out set. To be honest somehow deep within me, I knew it was going to double both as a pirate hideout and a ship, so that was not the big surprise. The surprise for me is how well built that ship look like (for a LEGO set that is). That and the price which I was calculating at 250€ - 300€).
  21. My bday are in late summer. Too much time to wait If anything else fails, I will have to do the same! I agree. This ship design is sick and is a great starter kit for someone to MOC his own ships. At least we will always have instructions! I asked for a to-do-list but we don't have much to do really. Blasted dishwasher. If it wasn't for you, I could have volunteered to do the dishes till eternity for that set!!!!! Somehow I believe the same will happen to our company as well... There is already a law out that a company can make workers work 50% less for apparently 50% less income. Luckily the marine part of my business which I am involved is faring OK (for now)
