  1. This building technique is really interesting so you can put it in good use for a full fortress (eagerly awaiting that is). But it's that striking red that somehow doesn't do the trick for me
  2. @kurigan @Wellesley Thanks for the info guys!
  3. NPU on the "brick profile" brick and nice colors too!
  4. Give me an "I" for Itzcali the indigenous!! Go Itzcali, go!!!
  5. Nice and funny story! As far as winning is concerned, it reminds me of "wacky races" cartoon where one could win by "any means necessary"! Nice idea!
  6. Hey, I like that ship! The blend between brick-built and prefab(?) hull looks great. As many said earlier, we need more photos!
  7. Gogogo! Punch him at the nose! That should do the trick!!!!
  8. A nice conclusion to this adventure! Especially the splashing of Padre was really well thought of! Pew pew god style??? Greek Oleander fire lightning!!!
  9. Aaaah, my eyes hurt of all this glowing red!!! Hahahahaha!
  10. Nice one, especially the rigging! Also really nice use of pieces you got there. Can you tell us more about the stressing of the bricks at the curves or the lack of stress if that's the case? Oh, and it's a class 2 alright! whatever you want it to be if we are talking about downgrading
  11. Really nice (and fast) ship! Hull and mast are top notch! Also the Oleander sailors and their captain do look magnificent!
  12. You sir, are a true doctor and most accomplished scientist! All those great devices... But I had tons of laughs with the Oleander-speaking parrot and above all, with the cripple/meteorologist and the frog! Such an amusing narrative overall!
  13. Same as above (I would prefer a thinner main mast) . Easily your best vessel so far though!
  14. This is EPIC! Great idea, great building design, great color choices, presentation and an irregular base to complement all the above. Simply put, beautiful! So, vertical windmills of those old times, are the forefathers of the energy harnessing vertical windmills that we see nowadays... interesting.
  15. Nice one! Especially the explosion painting and the banana on the floor as many wrote before, are killers!
  16. Hm, while I admit that working a small to mid-size hull is really hard, I would start from the ship builder's guild here in our forum, then check some same-size vessels from our more prominent shipbuilders of BOBS basically to get some ideas and then move ahead with a build of your own. However the road you decide to take, your vessel is still great as it is!
  17. Thanks for the ship Wellesley! It is a beauty and one can learn from its hull design. The 3 stars adorning her are the 3 wins in a row for Oleon at the boat race? Or is it one for every 10 wins?
  18. This is a great ship! Both idea and implementation worked really good. My favorite details are the stern microfigs, the masts/rigging (particularly the way the forward nearly horizontal mast is connected) and sails (glory to the IF) choices and the figurehead! If I had to change anything, it would be to work the hull a bit more (given bricks and time that is) but I really love this ship's overall appearance. Cheers!
  19. The long one I would say, although a couple more photos taken from the sides would be helpful, in order to decide
  20. Nice one! Really funny but that blue cannon carriage is a travesty! . Bring back the red one!!! Hehehe! Happy Easter guys!
  21. Thanks for the tip drunknok! See? No horse sausages!
  22. Nice one! I also got the song right so I guess many people are ABBA fans out there...! An interesting thought: At the first photo I initially thought that you had inserted the yellow minifig hand in the seagull anti-stud so as to depict seagull's claws, which would be really fitting imo (should one finds a way to make it stay put that is)....
  23. Interesting barely standing shack and nice writing!
