  1. I counted 12 studs wide and about 25 - 28 studs long, which I believe would make it the smallest car in a while. However, it makes sense making it so small, since the real car is tiny. I'd have to see it alongside the Cooper and the Beetle to see if they look more or less to scale.
  2. Just saw the second pic of the Fiat (back of the box). I'm starting to like the model more and more, despite its simplicity. Is this really an April release? Will we get an early access in mid-March? It feels like a very early leak - box pictures already, two months away from release.
  3. No, I didn't think of any functionality for the awning or for the serving window. Since I just keep it displayed next to my modulars, I figured I'd keep it always open. Happy you like the older look, I feel like it's the more typical aesthetic for food trucks.
  4. Mmmmh... ISS is 70 euro in Germany and 100CAD in Canada. I guess it'll be around the 110CAD mark, then. I'm having trouble getting a sense of the width of the car. Is it 14 or 12 studs wide? I think I count only 12.
  5. There are pics if you look for the legoleaks hashtag on Instagram. It looks good, but very small and simple, which I guess makes sense because that's the way the car is. Overall I like it, but for <1000 pieces, I hope it's not more than 120CAD.
  6. I instantly fell in love with the new Speed Champions, 8-wide Ferrari. It soon became the first Speed Champions set I had ever bought, and I decided to put it in my modular city layout. The car looked incredible, but way too big next to the other 6-wide vehicles in my city. So I got the idea to begin "upgrading" my 6-wide vehicles into 8-wide, starting with 60150 Pizza Van. The result ended up looking much different from 60150 than I had intended, but also much better: I gave the van a much more traditional, angular food truck look, which I think fits a lot better with the modular buildings. The inside features pizza ovens, a small countertop, a microwave, some storage space, a fridge in the back, and an air vent. Turns out extra Speed Champions wheel rims make great fans! Thanks to the stickers from 60150 and those from the Xtra stickr sheet, I managed to decorate the exterior of the food truck with City Pizza logos. There's also a door in the back! And, of course, two minifigures fit side to side in the driver and passenger seats. Now we're ready to sell some pizzas!
  7. An instagram user claims that Leaf is an AR based theme named Monkie Kid, and that the blue big fig is named Wujing. The leaker only has 2 posts, but one of them is the title card for Monkie Kid. Are they trustworthy? Are they lying? Idk.
  8. Oh, that makes a lot more sense. I was hoping for a bigger executive residence so more detail could be put in there...
  9. According the Brickset, the White House set is about 50cm wide. That's huge! It's two modular buildings side to side. Of course, the House will not be occupying the whole width, I imagine (?)... How much will be left for the garden and everything surrounding the building itself? I loved the Statue of Liberty and like the Empire State (despite not buying it since it seems too repetitive). Large architecture sets have the potential of being on par with huge sets like the Big Ben and Old Trafford, so I'll be looking forward to more info on this set.
  10. I really want to see that Sport Quattro now! The closer this car gets to the original Audi Quattro, the higher the chances I buy it to put in my city. Awesome work!
  11. "I am 100% certain that what I say is kinda maybe possibly true." So is this no Clone Wars sets rumor coming from this may-be-right-or-may-be-wrong guy or from you? Do you believe 100% there will be no Clone Wars sets because this anonymous guy told you so or because it's just something you believe?
  12. Just saw it. I don't think it's "ghost-y" enough for Hidden Side nor "pixel-y" enough for where Ninjago is currently at. Very strange, indeed. But it does seem to be pointing towards a fantasy line. Would it be the traditional knights-versus-witches or something a little more innovative? Who knows.
  13. What's the release schedule for Speed Champions sets, usually? One - two waves a year? I've been looking at Brickset and there have only been 7 sets released every year for this theme. Usually 5 or 6 in the first quarter and another 1 or 2 in summer. I've never really cared for this theme, but ever since the change to 8-wide vehicles, I've been wondering about what future cars could be released.
  14. As awesome as the 75192 Millenium Falcon is, a modified 75252 Star Destroyer (adding tiles and more texture to the hull) gives the MF a good run for its money. I'll go with 75192 as is, but 75252 comes in at a close second for mod potential. (The latest Y-Wing is incredible, too )
  15. Do you all think the winning UCS will release this May? The 2009 vote was held in May, I think, and the Home One set was released the following August - just two months later. The voting page says "one of the next UCS", not just"the next", which makes me think it'll be a much later release.
  16. It's just an apple.
  17. This is a great idea that TLG should incorporate more often. It lets fans vote for the most wanted model and gives us an idea of other sets that will come in the future (IIRC, the other options during the vote that the Home One set won were all made into sets the following years). I'll probably vote for the Nebulon. I think it's the set that most merits the UCS treatment. Never been done before as a set, plenty of tiny details and intricate shape. Of course, the other two would look good as UCS's too, but there are a lot more blank spaces on the Gunship and the Bomber than on the Nebulon.
  18. Check out LEGO's official Facebook page for a post about the ISS. I guess we'll get the announcement tomorrow at 10am EST? There were also leaks of the set a few weeks ago in the usual places, if you want to have a look at it.
  19. I just finished building the F8 Tributo and, wow, I must say, this set has exceeded all my expectations. I have never seen as many details, geometry and SNOT techniques crammed into such a small set. The jump from 6- to 8-wide made me buy my first Speed Champions set, and I sure hope TLG sticks to this new size, since it's a huge jump in quality from the smaller, city-like cars to these larger, like-architecture-but-for-vehicles sets. However, they are too big to be displayed next to other 6-wide vehicles in a city display. If they are by themselves, even in front of modulars, they look good. They're more in scale with the Ideas Ecto-1 and the gift with purchase Batmobile. If all you have is 8-wide vehicles in your city, I think they'll look great. If you have (like most of us do) 6-wide cars, then maybe it'd be better to find a place where the 8-wide cars can be on their own, perhaps in another street, since the size difference is pretty staggering. Overall, incredible set, full of surprises, very enjoyable build, and I hope TLG doesn't revert back to 6-wide cars.
  20. I've been looking at my modular buildings (still got Bookshop to build) and I noticed that the last large, 32x32 modular we got was Town Hall all the way back in 2012. All of the other modulars since TH have either been multipled buildings in a single set (DO, AS, BB, BS), buildings that occupy the full 32-stud width only in the ground floor (PR & DD) or corner buildings (PC, BB and CG). I guess Palace Cinema and Corner Garage are also single-building sets, but they're both corners, so they leave a gap in a street display. If the "2 normal buildings, then 1 corner building" formula is true, then I'd imagine next year's set will not be a corner building. I wonder if we'll get a single-building set like Green Grocer, Fire Brigade or Town Hall sometime soon. What are some buildings that would warrant using the whole 32x32 baseplate on their own? A museum? A police station? A school?
  21. Probably way too early to start discussing this, but is there any word about what the May the 4th D2C will be? Will it be another display only D2C like the Star Destroyer? A location-based set like Assault on Hoth or a big-but-not-so-detailed-yet-with-lots-of-play-features set like the Tantive IV and Sandcrawler? I don't remember when we first got rumors of the Tantive last year.
  22. I hate to say it, but Old Trafford is beginning to grow on me. Watching the reviews, the set starts to shine. Granted, I know nothing about Football or Manchester United, but I do love large LEGO buildings. Comparing it to previous Landmark sets, this one would be closer to the Sydney Opera House, IMO. Not as many tiny details as the Big Ben or Taj Mahal, but it's rather shapely and well executed in its own way. We'll see. If 2020 seems like a slow year for D2Cs, perhaps this one'll get to the top of the wish list.
  23. Oh boy, I really want to love this one but so far I'm not into it. Do we have an official reveal date? Maybe tomorrow?
  24. I'm worried about that stadium set, but excited to see what it'll look like, especially if it is to be released so soon. At first sight, I think the stadium looks terribly boring. Hopefully TLG finds a way to make it worth the hefty price tag.
  25. Do modulars usually sell out in the first few hours stores open? I want to pick this one up tomorrow, but am not feeling the same hype that got me to wake up at 6AM to queue up for the UCS Star Destroyer.
