Officially revealed now. 250USD, 300CAD - no surprises here. Is the Creator Expert branding dead? I know all 18+ sets will probably have the new box art , but not all Creator Expert sets are 18+.

Not gonna sugar coat it: the box art sucks for a Fairground set. However, what really matters is the set itself (even if the box art is a way of hyping and advertising the set) - and I'm not sure how to feel about this one. I really didn't expect a haunted house to come out, so this leak is very surprising. On one hand, I would have preferred a colourful ride. On the other hand, woohoo! The Fairground theme wasn't fogotten! On a third hand, at least it'll bring some variety to the theme, and a haunted house is admittedly an important element of a fairground. Still processing this one. I look forward to more pictures from different angles. (Man I hope TLG doesn't stick with that box art. For Architecture and strictly display-only sets - sure. For everything else? Please no.)

LEGO Star Wars 2020 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Some people on Instagram already speculating whether the DS on the cover would be an actual set. I'm looking forward to how some of the locations and ships are built in this game as much as the gameplay itself. -

Best walker is still OG 2004 walker. Happy TLG is finally changing the speeder bike design somewhat, though. Do we have a piece count for this set? EDIT: 1267 pieces for 160$ / probably 180+ CAD? Yeesh... -

Am I the only one who thinks this AT-AT skipped leg day? Body looks great, head looks neat, but the legs look lanky. 50/50 on this one, but it's always nice to see OT sets. -

Is that supposed to be the same Helicarrier as the UCS one or are there multiple Helicarriers that look different from each other? -
LEGO Monkie Kid 2020
Terrasher replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Wasn't impressed by the smaller sets, but the mechs and the secret base look amazing. The builds are at the same level or even better as the Ninjago Movie sets, which IMO were the best Ninjago sets. It is a very expensive theme, though, which makes me wonder what the piece counts are. Overall, probably won't be buying any of these, but if ever we get a D2C for Monkie Kid that would be in the same league as Ninjago City, I'll be listening... -
Woah, outstanding texturing all over the building. Love the SNOT work!

It's a bit of a mixed list, but here are a few examples. (You can ignore the last two ) -

...because not everyone has the same opinion about every Star Wars ship or landmark? A DSII remake is not inherently bad. It's just a worse option than another ship or location that hasn't yet been given the UCS treatment (or that already has), according to some. -

I don't know which leakers are more reliable than others, but good news if it is indeed false, imo. Though intriguing as to how TLG would remake this set, there are a lot more interesting vehicles and locations in the Star Wars movies than the second Death Star. -
I can't even remember what the last D2C was for which we got leaked pictures days or weeks before its official reveal. Was it the Fiat? I know that one's box leaked about a month before its reveal. Hoping for leaked pictures is a gamble. Sometimes there isn't anything until the official reveal (Pirate Bay, UCS A-wing), while other times the box has leaked a month in advance (Fiat and Treehouse). DA is rumored to be a September release, right?

Ikr? Finally having a non-re-release UCS set is awesome, with more on the way even better, so I'm crossing my fingers TLG has another UCS that's not a rehash in the works for this fall. -

An updated Death Star 2 would be an interesting set to see how TLG tackles, with all the new pieces, techniques and design standards. On one hand, if the rumor is true, it sucks that it's another re-release. On the other hand, if it's false, perhaps the fall UCS will be something new? We just gotta wait until a more reliable source confirms or denies it. -
So the UCS A-Wing was just revealed today, which, as expected, was going to take the spot for the May D2C. Next D2C should be coming out in June, with a reveal a week or two before the release date, I assume, as usual. The Ferris Wheel, Carousel and Roller Coaster were all released in June, so if ever we are getting a Fairground set this year, my bet is on it coming out in a month and a half. It's worrying that there haven't been any substantial rumors so far, but I think TLG has been pretty quiet this year. EDIT: Just found out the Technic Porsche and Chiron both came out June 1st too, so with the Ferrari coming soon, perhaps there won't be a Fairground set this year... Let's hope some other unlicensed D2Cs come out soon besides the Winter Village set.

I love that TLG doesn't excessively rely on wedge plates to give the A-Wing its triangular shape. It finds the middle ground between fully tiled-up and studs galore, which reminds me of 75192. The outer texture ends up looking more diverse and less monotone than in other UCS renditions of this set. Looks better than I expected. Looking forward to comparison pics with the other UCS rebel ships. -

Woah, pretty good rendition. Very sleek. But for what will probably be 250CAD at least, I'll wait for a discount or until I've got enough VIP points. -

I'd rather have a ~100$ A-Wing that captures all the shapes and details like Obi-Wan's UCS Starfighter did, than a 200$ set that is just... Bigger. Let's hope that 99,99€ price is correct. -
I'd be surprised if DA had an underground section, since this would mean that all buildings should be elevated if they were to be on the same street level. My HP knowledge is limited, but isn't Gringotts the only DA building with underground scenes in the movies? Here are my two theories, if it's the DA D2C that has the underground scene: 1. The whole set is one big block where the buildings cannot be separated. In this case, having an underground scene would make sense, since the whole underground section would be connected. However, this ignores the fact that kingnono mentioned "pins" in the set before (unless it's just for easy transportation? Like Old Trafford?) 2. The buildings are all individual sections of the set that are not connected to each other (like the previous DA) but all have underground scenes so the shops and the bank are all at the same street level. This would be a strange way to integrate an underground scene, since, if the set is made of multiple buildings that are not connected to each other, then the underground scene would be scattered across the whole, separated, set. If DA would include Gringotts' minecart vaults, then there'd be a section of rail underneath each shop. This does follow the theory that DA includes pins, presumably to connect each section and have a full modular-like street with a complete underground scene. I think these would be two strange ways to tackle DA, which makes me think this underground scene belongs to another set altogether.

That's what I was thinking. I haven't had this problem when building the model, so I'd check if the large panels are bent. Perhaps try placing them on a baseplate and see if they pop off on their own? If they do, then the pieces are definitely defective and you should get a replacement.

With all this talk about the next UCS being the A-Wing since it's one of the only major OT vehicles that have yet to be made in UCS form, I'm still crossing my fingers for a UCS Jabba's Sail Barge for the 2HY. If it were minifigure scale, it would be about the same length as the UCS Millenium Falcon, wich would make it huge and worthy of the UCS label, without surpassing a pricepoint we haven't seen before. Otherwise, the only vehicles or locations I could see in UCS form from the OT would be (off the top of my head): -Missing TIEs (Interceptor, Bomber, remake of Advanced) -Yavin IV Rebel base -AT-AT -Nebulon (which is probably already coming, seeing as it was one of the options in the recent Ideas vote) -Home One -Rebel Transport Anyways, I'm really hoping TLG gives Jabba's Sail Barge a shot before exhausting all OT vehicles & locations and moving on to PT and ST UCS sets.

LEGO Creator 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Terrasher replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I think one might be the Winter Village set. I really hope the WV is another unknown set number though, because Creator Expert is my favorite theme and only two more sets for the whole year (with one being WV) would be very disappointing... However 200€ for a WV set is a lot, so perhaps they're really two unknown sets. We really don't have any more info to go on about, sadly. Last drop tower rumor was from 2018, so who knows if that's still relevant , and we already got a big landmark set with Old Trafford, so I doubt we'd be getting a second in one year. Sorry for being a party pooper, but I think we'll have to wait until mid May to get any substantial rumors, seeing as the big April release is the Pirate Bay and for May it's the UCS Star Wars set. -

Last year, the Tantive IV was officially revealed on April 12th. We are two weeks from that date, but seeing as how TLG has been revealing sets closer and closer to their release, we might not get any official info about the May the 4th UCS until the weeks of the 19th or the 26th. There was a rumor floating around a few weeks (or months) back about the next UCS being an A-Wing. I believe the rumored price is 200$, but did this A-Wing rumor originate from a trustworthy source, or is it just an assumption that is based simply on the fact that we already have X-, Y- and B- Wings?
