LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

850CAD? Mmmh... Best scenario was 800, while worst was 900+. I guess you can't win them all. It's a hard pill to swallow, especially when comparing with price/piece, but the model is a behemoth, and I wonder what the price/weight is. -

Looks awesome. Love the amount of detail at the bottom and back of the ship. I hope that gap running down the middle of the ship stays as tight as it's shown in the pictures. Is that box the same size as 75192 or a little bit thinner? Day 1 buy for me, if stock allows it to stay on shelves until the end of the day. -

I wonder if TLG managed to fill in the gap that can be seen at the very tip of 10030, when looked at from the side. Seems like the tip of the ISD has been "conveniently" hidden by the Tantive IV on the box art. I also hope TLG learned their lesson from the 75192 fiasco two years ago, when the set flew off the shelves and then a cycle of "in stock for 5 minutes then gone for a week" ensued for the following few months. At least this set doesn't seem to have as much value (either price per piece or iconic value) as 75192, and there is no big limited promotion like a special VIP card, which should help keep this set in stock for anyone wanting to get it come release date on the 18th. -

You can sleep, TLG usually does press releases at around noon EST the day of the release date. I'd imagine as early as 9AM tomorrow, september 5th. -

Might the engines be made out of the new cone pieces that make the cockpit in 75192? It looks like it... -

I'm pretty sure the figure we think is a stormtrooper is actually an imperial crewman, one of those guys with a light grey uniform and a dark grey cap. -

I sure hope the structure is strong enough so there is no drooping at the front of the ship over time. F5 wednesday today! Hoping to see front of the box pics soon. The ISD looks very ominous... -

So far looks good, but I can't make out much detail due to the quality of the pic. Getting even more excited for HQ pics!!! -

TLG pretty much always waits for it to be the reveal date in North America and around the world, usually revealing sets around noon EST (or a little earlier), IIRC. We could see some leaks later today. The Disney Train's box leaked the night before the reveal date. -

There are actually some sets, like 75192 and the Disney Train, that are cheaper in CAD than USD, when you do the conversion, even. -

Just found a comment on the FB group from a guy with (Tidy) next to his username. Says it'll be 43" / 110cm long. That's about 17cm bigger than 10030. On one hand, woah, it'll be massive. On the other hand, how many of the 1700 additional pieces go towards a larger size instead of polished looks? I hope TLG minimizes the amount of exposed studs on 75252, which is what makes many ISD MOCs so sleek. -

The more I think about it, the more I worry TLG might sacrifice accuracy and displayability in favor of play features. After all, the latest UCS, the Tantive (was it labeled UCS, even?) features stud shooters and a swooshable handle. I also saw the comments made by the person on the FB group claiming to have seen leaked pics. I'll take it with a grain of salt, since first they said it wouldn't be an ISD, then they said it would be, yada yada yada, hopefully it's just some troll. -

Oh, God, no. I have to agree with nikhkin, this set needs to be at the same level of the Falcon. While the Falcon's playability is limited, the few play functions it has do not hinder the overall look of the set. It's true that only two minifigures in a 700$ set is very low. Hopefully these people are mistaken or the set's outer looks and size redeem it from not having as many figures or interior space as the Falcon. I know TLG's main target audience is kids, but not for a 700$ set. -

Five more days until the reveal, wooooooh boy. I just came across the old Reddit post with the list for the 2019 D2Cs. Strange that it lists the second UCS as a 500$ set, while the 700$ price tag has been most recently and repeatedly reported. 1300 more pieces than 10030 and hopefully roughly the same size (93x59x43, what a beast!). Any guesses what the Canadian price will be? Disney Train and Station is 380CAD and 330USD (380CAD = about 280USD, though). 75192 is 900CAD and 800USD (900USD = 675USD). It wouldn't make sense to make this the same price as the UCS Millenium Falcon. Perhaps in the 850 - 800CAD range? Thursday can't come soon enough . Hopefully 75252 will live up to the hype. -

So far these are all sets that were released around October instead of May. Does anyone remember the last time the first UCS of the year (released in May) was bigger than the second yearly set (released in October)? -
Last time I went to the LEGO Store (last week) I asked one of the employees if I HAD to build three minifigures or if I could just take any 15 pieces. They told me if I wanted to take 15 accessories, yeah, sure, take whatever you want, but stick to the 15 pieces rule. Got a bunch of rabbits and lobsters, as well as a few laptops and spiders. What's the rotation period for the pieces? When do different pieces get added to the tower? Is there a schedule or just "when it starts to look empty"?

Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, TLG just posted a teaser on Twitter for the upcoming UCS Star Wars set. Reveal on September 5th! EDIT: woops, already posted . Pretty exciting! -

I'm guessing these are just the two 2020 UCS/MBS plus a brick-built character. Do "white" and "green" mean anything or are they just red herrings? -

Are those 6x4 wedges on the Falcon's mandibles new? I always wondered how TLG could get the mandibles' shape right. I guess the easiest solution was to just produce new pieces. -

Finally, a UCS E.T.! I'm not a huge fan of the Sequel Trilogy, but I must admit that this new version of Kylo's shuttle looks awesome. EDIT: just noticed, TLG has updated the structure of the MF's opening top wedges. No more gaps, yay! -

My guess is it'll be around the 10th of September, since lately sets have been revealed about a week before their release, like the Disney Train and Station. Of course, any sooner would be most welcome. -
Hi, everyone. I don't know if this is a B&P specific issue, but I'll give it a shot. I was trying to order some pieces today and, when confirming my order for the last time, I got an error message saying that my payment could not be authorized. Has anyone else ran into this issue? I pay with Paypal, so I don't know if this is a B&P, Shop@Home or Paypal issue.

The last UCS to come out without any minifigures was the B-Wing, I believe. Every Collector's set since then has included at least one minifig. My guess is that we'll see a few minifigs included with the set (or microfigs, if there is an interior and if said interior is in micro scale), but, as others pointed out, they may not be eye-catching enough for factory workers to snatch and leak. Less than a month for the reveal! -

Oh, God. I know the rumored price has always been about 700$, but seeing it again, especially next to that 4700 pieces, is pretty painful. Hopefully it'll exceed people's expectations to justify that price. VIP early-release on September 18th? So we can expect a press release around the 10th? The Disney Train and Station was revealed on the 13th, with an early release on the 21st. -

A little promo preview for the Disney Train on the LEGO Shop (I think, I saw screenshots of it on Instagram) mentions that the train station houses, among other things, a "cafe corner". Mmmmmmh... Where did I put my tinfoil hat?
