Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Terrasher replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I usually just stack a ton of transparent bricks on top of eachother and then place the ship I want to display in an elevated manner on the pillars built. -
From what I own, my top four favorite must be (in no particular order): Jabba's Sail Barge (2013 version), UCS Ewok Village, UCS Imperial Shuttle and UCS Slave I. Although, from the whole theme, I don't know which ones are my top favorite since there are too many sets that have been produced, but from those I don't own some of my favorites are (again, no particular order): Tantive IV (2009 version, I think) and the UCS Y-Wing.

I have the 7662 MTT and I think it's one of my favorite sets. Its scale goes pretty well next to the new AAT and is probably the heart to any droid army. Depending on the price you find, yes, I think it's worth purchasing. -

If Just2Good wasn't joking when he said that there would be a new Death Star in 2016, a new version of Grand Moff Tarkin should be guarateed. As for the Rebel's Stormtroopers, I haven't added them to the Death Star nor the Ewok Village because they look too different from the other versions. I usually just have them next to other battlepack figs to make a small army. -
(2015) May The 4th Be With You Offers - Discussion thread!
Terrasher replied to Lobot's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm pretty sure the episode IV poster came with any Star Wars purchase, for May the 4th (Canada). If I'm right, I suppose it should be the same for the posters to come. -
Got the AT-AT and Yoda, C3PO and R2D2 keychains that I managed to separate from the chain to add to my Hoth diorama (Yoda was added to my prequel-trilogy minifigs collection). Also got the Yularen fig and the episode IV poster.

I made a purchase on the LEGO Store today and the poster came folded. -

I just browsed the S@H (Canada) and was disappointed to see that the only sets on sale were a couple of medium-sized sets and some microfighters, smaller sets and keychains (no UCS on sale nor AT-ATs or Mos Eisley Cantinas). I'd purchase the AT-AT from Toys R Us if they had the Yularen fig and episode IV poster but, sadly, that is not the case. -
New bantha in a future set? I hope so.

Buy the Ewok Village first since the Slave I came out a couple of months ago. I have both of them and they are both gorgeous to look at. The Slave I looks cooler and the Ewok Village has a lot of action going on in it so it's a very nice display model. -

Alright, thanks! Next time I go to the LEGO Store, I'll probably pick up a Star Wars keychain and test it out. -

This may not be directly related to Star Wars but does anyone know if there is a way to detach the minifigure from the chain in keychains? Yes, I know, "Minifigure is not detachable from metal chain", but is it possible to cut the chain or pull it out somehow without the rest of the metal that is still attached to the minifigure's head being incredibly visible? Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this question but I don't know where else to post it. -

Very probably the AT-AT. -
If I have enough time before they retire, because I still want to buy the sandcrawler, AT-AT, UCS TIE-Fighter and the upcoming Echo Base, I'll probably end up picking the Tydirium so I can display it next to the ewok village (I have the UCS Imperial Shuttle but it's incredibly huge to put next to the village), and the Final Duel because I really liked the scene in the movie and I think TLG has captured the essence of the whole structure quite well.
-
I wish they'd remake this set so I can display is next to the UCS and the Planet Serie's ones. Your recreation of Obi Wan's jedi starfighter is very, very nice.
-
Wow, I absolutely love the helmet of that clone pilot. Amazing minifigures!
-
As much as I like the design and accuracy of this set, I'm not very happy with TLG's choice to make an UCS version of the TIE Fighter. Sure, it was bound to happen: the TIE-Fighter is a very iconic and well-known ship in the Star Wars universe. Sooner or later, TLG had to make it into UCS. What I don't like about this UCS set is that it is pretty much two big plates attached to a ball-shaped cockpit. But I guess that's pretty much what a TIE Fighter is. Don't get me wrong, I actually like the set but I won't get it until (probably) May the 4th of 2016.

List of Star Wars sets that are retiring!
Terrasher replied to Something_Awesome's topic in LEGO Star Wars
If I had to guess, I'd say the 10240 Red Five X-Wing Starfighter will be retiring sometime around May the 4th while the 10236 Ewok Village around the last quarter of this year (October - December). In any case, I doubt any of those two will make it to 2016. -
I recently bought the 75055 Star Destroyer for 119$ (regular price (Canada): 149$). Should arrive in the mail next week.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
Terrasher replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thanks No, the Falcon isn't the UCS 10179. It's actually the 7965 but with a lot of gribbling added - I thought the original look was a bit plain so I decided taking some bricks and tiles I have and add some detail. Plus, it gives it a more "UCS" look. I might make a topic about it some day to show it from different angles -

Here's my display set-up: http://imgur.com/a/IgUgu I really like the minifigure stand I made but the one downside with it is that I don't have any minifigs to display with the Ewok Village, the Death Star or the Hoth Echo Base. -
I actually hope that is an I bleed DisneyTM!! Disney party! because I recently got the Death Star 10188 (last one from the store ), and I'll probably want to get it if it's a considerable improvement over the 2008 one. If it's serious, woaw, I wonder what the price will be if it's bigger.
