  1. Does anyone else remember a passing rumor about a Creator Expert set number 10272 retailing for 300$ to be released in January, which I believe came up the day before the Bookstore reveal? I have a faint memory of seeing a screenshot of what looked like an Excel spreadsheet (probably a LEGO Store database page) with details about the Bookstore (hence the rumor showing up when we were discussing that set) as well as details about 10272. I don't want to spread any false information or be hoping for something that isn't gonna come, so I wonder if others remember this rumor or if it's just me. I also wonder if we will be getting a cryptic list of the 2020 D2Cs like we did for most of 2019. Also, I'm itching for new, unlicensed D2Cs, so any rumors are most welcome. Merry Christmas
  2. Hey, everyone. We're nearing the holidays, and I am thinking about beginning buying the individual bricks for a set. Will Bricks and Pieces be down for the holidays until February? It has had some downtime for months during the last few years, so will this year be the same?
  3. I'm really surprised they aren't putting them in Creator or City sets. Strange how they only put them on (licensed) characters that really need them.
  4. Is it me or does TLG include teen legs (the medium ones) only in Harry Potter sets and Disney's Chip and Dale? What do you think? Will medium legs become more commonplace or will they remain with Harry Potter and a couple other very specific minifigs?
  5. Woah, was not expecting 200CAD. Awesome! Interior is okay, there are a few too many big empty spaces, though. Still, day 1 buy for me, too.
  6. Oh boy, I was so intrigued by the modular's distinct look that I didn't even realize we would be able to split it into two 16x32 buildings! Hooray!
  7. Woah, this looks nothing like anything we've seen before. I agree that it kind of looks like someone's MOC, but I'm not sure why... It looks like it would pair well with all the other modulars! I can see it next to the Green Grocer, Parisian Restaurant, Brick Bank, Assembly Square... Can't wait for tomorrow's high resolution pictures.
  8. I'm having a hard time seeing (obviously) the left edge of the building. Is that light grey column really the edge of the set? Or is the yellow, red, brown and green section on its left also part of the set? The background looks like a sunset, which I find odd, since the only set without the usual neutral daytime background is the Palace Cinema. I guess we'll find out in 9-ish hours.
  9. I'm getting Parisian Restaurant vibes on the right. Hoping for 2 16x32s.
  10. I hope not. It would stick out like a sore thumb. Parisian Restaurant and Palace Cinema's distinct style makes sense because the architecture is related to the function of the building itself. I hope TLG sticks with the newer, 50s style architecture.
  11. Guess it'll be on friday, then. Allegedly TLG ambassadors get a 24h notice before the reveal to monitor for leaks, according to a brickset member.
  12. Past 8am now and nothing? I'm betting on 10am.
  13. I love the crazy amount of hype the modular buildings topic gets at this time of year. Literally all we get is 1 set every 12 months, so when the time finally comes for it to be unveiled... oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, we're following the topic and refreshing by the second. Let's hope reveal's today instead of friday!
  14. I must have missed the inventory sheet of CG when it came out... I wouldn't bet on the next modular leaking before the announcement. I do hope it is announced in the first week of December and not later, since TLG seems to have been pushing their reveals closer and closer to release dates.
  15. Dog & cats can damage boxes if they get near them (clawing, biting). Other than the smoke smell (and maybe discoloration? I'm really not sure), I don't know how smoke can affect an unopened LEGO set.
  16. "New eyes looking at it?" Something something optometrist... (Puts on tinfoil hat.)
  17. I imagine we won't be seeing Cloud City again in the LEGO Store. Is this one of the shortest Star Wars UCS / MBS runs? How long did Assault on Hoth last?
  18. Allegedly it's 2504. Darn, all of these comments in a short amount of time make me think that photos have leaked.
  19. I'd also like something other than a police station. Unless TLG can make a really original or special police station... idk, it seems a little.... Uninspired.
  20. Here's a topic all about fairground sets: I seriously hope TLG doesn't stop releasing fairground sets. They're some of the most beautiful and refreshing sets lately.
  21. Do we have a rumored price and piece count for the 2020 modular? I must have missed that tidbit of information.
  22. I wonder if we'll see the new 3x3 (or 4x4, not sure) quarter circle slope that looks like a smaller version of the teal pieces at the top of DD.
  23. Woah, the 8-wide cars look incredible! How well do you think they would scale with modular buildings? I fear they're gonna be too big... They're pretty expensive in Canada, though, so I think I'll pass nonetheless.
  24. Ah, yeah, I see it... guess it'll be a B&P or Bricklink order, then. On a side note, magnets? Flying helicopters? Named cops and robbers? Woah, lotsa strange stuff in the city police line.
  25. Best I could do with all the LBG tiles and wedges in my parts collection. I wanted to accentuate the textures on the hull of the ship, since TLG's was rather bare and was missing some (mainly the large, slightly raised section right in front of the superstructure). I also revamped the bridge area, which has some tiny details I am very glad with the way they turned out. Didn't have enough pieces to tackle the superstructure or the bottom of the ship! But perhaps I'll place a Bricklink order for some LBG tiles at some point.
