  1. Previously in the story: Bull's Eye (Prelude) This still takes place long before Raavage Davok: "We gathered our forces rather quick, and then marched for Falconstone. The supply train would arrive later, 'cause I wanted my vanguard to move freely.". "We were only halfway through the Frozen River fords, when some riders blocked our path." Unpleasant encounter (1) by David de Rijke, on Flickr "Three riders from unknown origin where standing in the river. One of them was their leader, obviously. He seemed to be some sort of wizard scum, given his hat and his staff from which icy sparks were coming. Never liked this kind.. The worst part, was their faces. They did not seem to have any..." "The wizard could speak, however. Immediatly when we saw these fellows, I raised my shield and took a defensive position. I saw my men do the same while my chieftains looked at me what to do. But the wizard told us about that messenger I spoke at the Bull's Eye. He said they were sent to help us. They lowered their weapons to prove it. I started to get an uneasy feeling about this whole mission. Who was our client, and why did he venture with wizards of this kind? Might he be some sort of wizard himself? And WHO is this stranger, if his value is so big these... powers... are sent in to deal with it?"
  2. Love the interior and the colors!
  3. So yes, it is allowed ;)
  4. Yeah, some sides of the bricks are almost yellow. I'm gonna try some method on cleaning it, and otherwise I will have filler material ^^ Thanks! the ball joints were a tryout from a few loose pieces I achieved at Lego World. I am still working on the technique because I really like the look of them. My next build uses more of them :D For the water I originally wanted to add trans-clear pieces, but I did not make it with the parts I had. Also I liked this color! Thanks! Can't wait to put it to use :) Thank you! I try to include some water in almost every of my builds ^^ Thank you! The snow technique is quite borrowed from SK though, I gained a lot of these pieces through a lucky PaB Thanks:) I liked working with the sand green but actually think the parts on the main tower should have been recessed by a half stud to emphasize the wooden pillars.
  5. Discolored bley ^^ taken over for almost nothing via 'marktplaats'
  6. Davok: "Long before the rise of Raavage, in the days after Revolword's defeat, a messenger arrived at the Bull's Eye, in these days not more than a mere outpost for our compagny" Bull's Eye by David de Rijke, on Flickr "The messenger, no one remembers anything of what he looked like, demanded to speak with the present highest in rank, which happend to be the Bull's second in command, me. It appeared to be confidential, so we sat together in the higher room of the tower" Bull's Eye by David de Rijke, on Flickr "To make a long story short: Some high guy wanted to hire us. The messenger seemed to say 'Victor' at a given point, but stopped abrupt and looked scared for a moment. Well, to the point. Our mission: Falconstone to the south gave hospitality to a stranger that was brought there under heavy escort. They seem to not know the danger of this man. Our client told us how this man has escaped the sack of the Dark Wizard's, and that he is a dangerous wizard himself. Those falcons wouldn't believe us, I can tell in advance. They never have been keen to see logic... We have to siege Falconstone, and kill this man. The reward? Bigger than you can ever dream off." Bull's Eye by David de Rijke, on Flickr Bull's Eye by David de Rijke, on Flickr (Here we go... A long way to go, and the story is already paving its path in my mind. Where this will end, I don't know :D) (This is a quite old build, and I have great news: got a new camera and new adjustments to my room that will be used for my next build :D) (The guy with the kanjiclub torso is the younger version of my sigfig, Davok ^^) (oh my god... while trying to play with revolword's name, I discovered its origin ONLY NOW... quite a slow catch)
  7. Im still not entirely sure which side I will belong too in the 3th category :P I have an almost complete story in mind tho :O I better start building.
  8. As I read it, we can even make multiple posts so that would be fine. OOh im so hyped for challenge C... I have a story in mind, but I still can't decide who will win ;p However, when we can choose such a big thing as who becomes king, and I add Ecc's awesome is-it-a-book3-prelude-or-not post predicting an invasion, I fear the worst for our pick :P
  9. I really like the build, but I love the story too, its well-written!
  10. can we see more of the castle? pleassse?
  11. Great entry! That monster is great, and the idea is also great
  12. This is awesome man! Nice how many you could get on a 16x16, and great job on camouflaging. I really did not see the troll in the bushes in the first picture
  13. Great job, I like both houses and how they look combined! Do you guys live close enough to Eindhoven for me to come build with his collection too? ;p
  14. Sorry for double posting, but: where do I get a good amount of bright green minifig arms? they seem to be rare on bricklink. (yes, I obviously am making a mitgardian force XD)
  15. What I noticed immediatly is how the early morning feel is expressed in the build through the lighting and picture-taking. Good job!
  16. I like how you combined many of your guys own techinques here. I recognise the wooden wall of the main building and the frame of the tower, for example. I really like the pier!
  17. yay glad to have kabel back! looks really promising! Also John, I love that wooden fortress
  18. Amazing! I love your architecture. The houses give a splendid feeling and atmosphere, your stonework is great and the detailing everywhere is nice!
  19. so if I decide a Mitgardian becomes king and I make a good story around it, then it becomes canon ? :P seems appealing. Already starting with the first challenge. Does the spire know about this king? because then it would be safer to carry the message vocally
  20. YAAAAAAAAAASSSSS! this is great :D I really hoped to see this when waking up on new year's morning, and there it is. I have to finish my pretty large build that was late for CCC first, then I can unleash myself... I feel a story coming already :D
  21. This is amazing! I love the colors, architecture and trees
  22. I like the 'fat' tree! Also the picture gives a nice feel, they are well made but could be a little bit brighter indeed. Great job on the rockwork!
  23. Amazing build, I really like how much there is to see in this build. Excellent arches and detailing everywhere, and the merchandise and throne are awesome too
