This is also my entry in the Faction Action category on Flickr's Summer Joust. I designed this wall quite long ago, but never actually built it ^^ I spent some attention to texturing this time, and I think I succeeded. Next time I will include an angle I think, for that would have improved the wall here I suppose. The ram has a bull's head in this case, ofcourse. Couldn't leave it :D Also the 'cat' (the protecting cover under which rams could approach the walls without the bearers being shot) is in the shape of a bull's head. I do not have many quivers or bricks to connect stuff on minifigs :D) Climbing the wall

really nice tecniques for the wall and the round gate! also that tree is pretty cool. -
I really like the texturing of the ground and the walls here.I like the water, and where is that shield from? I surely need a few to make an army of the Vale, it looks like an eagle to me.

Barracks3 by David de Rijke, on Flickr The boy shivered. Not only because of the cold, but also because of the ram, his father was holding. For years, the first test of a youthful warrior had been facing a trained ram with just a wooden stick and a shield. Those who won, would recieve warrior training. Those who needed the help from their father however... The mines. He did not want to think about that. Barracks2 by David de Rijke, on Flickr Barracks1 by David de Rijke, on Flickr What do you think of the snotted snow part, particulary the 1x1 clips that should resemble some sort of grass? I found quite a big lot of them, and thought this was a good way to put them to use, but im not sure I like it. Also I gave photography another shot (pun intended ;) ) , it still didnt work however, but at least I made 2 perspective pictures this time, and the overview picture aint thát bad :P Inspiration for this build was seeing the goat and the boy laying next to each other on the floor. That in combination with wanting to do a snow build :D

nah, my love is with these harsh norsemen. My collection doesnt lend to mediterrean architecture. if I HAD to switch it would be nocty, but nothing lets me deliberately leave Miitgardia :p

What does the new book mean, in fact? Does it allow you to subscribe to another guild, or does it bring a whole bunch of storyline, or.. what does it do? :D

SK you are the example to many of us. Seeing that even you grew even better through the years, gives me hope :P -
Looks really great! I see the DC influences, as his guide was the sole reason I discovered GoH.

Thanks, and Ill certainly check that guide, because I totally agree ;) Thanks! the water addition in every build is starting to become something like a signature ^^ When possible, I sneak a river or stream in. Thanks! Most of my buildings till now had more of an Avalonian style, yet the snow already does a great deal in transforming it to Mitgardian. Thanks! I really liked how the front turned out indeed Thanks! I stumbled upon some shovels and knew how I should use them ;)

If I might say that myself, this is my best build till now here I think :) Falconstone is my settlement (under construction;) ), and this is its gatehouse. I bought for 40€ quite some white plates and tiles, their worth is at least 80 ^^ My whole floor is covered with white plates, so let the snowscape-building begin. I'm a Mitgardian after all. The idea of the bridge is that it is cut in half (it would cross the whole river that should be there), so that's why the end seems unfinished. I myself particulary liked how the tower turned out, next to the gate itself. (more pictures on flickr) C&C welcome!
