The snow is gone, and the mountain passes are accessible again. Some of the first to arrive in the Bull's Eye, were messengers, carrying a message from a Nocturnian lord. 'King' Ryban sent away his troops, but let his second man Davok come with him to recieve the messengers in the hall. Ryban stepped forwards, and told Davok to keep his weapons close, seeing the envoys were armed. Even though there were countless guards available within a moment, it felt more safe. "Who are you, and what is your business here?" The envoy looked at the sword pointed to him and grinned. "I come from my lords castle in Nocturnus, bringing you a great opportunity. In return for gold and loot, I ask you to help defend my lord's castle against a few intruders. My lord is the mightiest man in the region and will for sure reward you, if you and your company come to assist us." The dog started growling, yet Davok kept him away from this guests, no matter how unwelcome they were. He whispered to Ryban. "The snow is just gone. They are the first to arrive. We do not know what happened in the rest of historica, we have lived the whole winter without any messengers, and rangings were impossible. How can we know he speaks the truth?" Ryban ignored him, and Davok saw in his eyes what he had feared for a long time: Greed. This bull had the heart of a dragon, and would do anything to gather gold. "Ryban, please. There is no glory in gold. There is no glory in getting slaughtered in an ambush." Ryban still ignored him, keeping the frown on his face. Then he raised his sword, presenting it to the envoy. "me and my bulls are with you. Yet I want your promise on the following: all our loot is ours, we will not have to yield gold to your lord." Davok's face turned into a thunderstorm, and sweared he would stay. The envoy grinned once more. "You have my word, I swear on my life." Davok would not realize earlier than next day, how strange that sounded from the mouth of an undead. Now the second messager spoke. "you have two days to gather your forces, then we will guide you to our lord's stronghold, the Obsidian Spike." Somehow, Davok thought he had heard that name before... So, the bulls are joining in the whole crusade thing. Greedy mercenaries as they are, they might have chosen the wrong side. Or are you all on the wrong side? :D I could not spend too much bricks in here for I have 1.5 castle built, this was more for story purposes ^^ The light bley pattern on the floor resembles a bull by the way.

Great! I have this character in my head from puberty already. Wanted to write a story someday, but discovered lego is the very best way to do it:D Don't be afraid about the power, it will just be to survive, not to dominate ^^

Till what extent is magic allowed? I have plans for some sort of shapeshifter-character, yet I definitly want it to be mitgardian and not nocturnian :p it will be shifting between human and lion, probably. Maybe a bear.

Great snotted rocks and I love the detail in the walls!! Also the wooden topping is very well done. The troll is awesome as well, can we see him from front?

So I finally made an AoM entry :P (I have around 10 builds in LDD though, yet I only want to submit real ones :P) Neymara and her brother Marik love brewing beer. One day, some friends told them to sell it on the road, as they thought it was very good. They set up a stand along a mayor road, over which many Mitgardian patrol units passed. And who is a better customer than a thirsty warrior? They sell so much these days, that Marik is continuously getting more with his ox, Byrt. I wanted to try multiple things in this build, it is basically the first time I made trans-clear water, I made everything tiled off, including the rocks that are far more detailed than I'm used to, also the construction of the stand, the autumn tree, and the road. I wondered if anyone has ever built a road this way, I pretty much like it myself! (these are 92 1x2 slopes). The tree was hell, I can't touch it: most of the leaves are not connected to anything. Also I think the dragon knights of Kingdoms are the perfect Midgardian soldiers: two shades of green on the torso, and two shades of yellow on the shield. I am happy with this build for it is by far my best detailed build ever, yet I can improve so much more. So please critizise and say what you would have done different (the light bley 1x1 tiles are a mistake on bricklink, should have been dark XD)

Does anyone have tips on photography btw? I used a bed here (I saw the equal blue as best solution for that moment) yet most people have equal white backgrounds. I use the camera of my phone, for every euro spent on a camera could have been spended on bricks :P

I would like to see more about the story of Historica, I just feel like there is just too little published in the guild pages, given how big a fan of fantasy worlds I am :D It would be great if this can be done with the help of the old MOCs. Im here twice a day, so everything that is in here I already saw, yet maybe some in-depth things on the used techniques, so more of an analysis instead of just the picture?

The colors were not meant to be Nocty, yet for sure they were not meant to be Mitgardian either, there is a reason their leader calls himself king (tamtamtammm)

Im in for the idea! If I can find any time I can make a concept to see if people like it, I've got the tools.

I realized Davok and his 'men' did not really have an introduction yet. I am busy building a fortress where a story takes place, yet I made an introduction for the Bull clan first. Credits for the quotes aren't mine, obviously, yet the story is inspired by them :) My plot will be a bit isolated, so there is little clashing with the official story :) (Spoiler: there might come a larger battle, but just pretend, after the story, that it did not take place) The Bulls are a clan of warriors in the northern mountains. They are led by their selfstyled 'king', who sits upon is wooden chair in Bull's Eye Fortress. You will meet him next build. I, Davok Shieldbasher, am the captain of the warriors, and lead them into battle where that spoiled brat can't. Note: I did not say we are the good guys, nor that I am the good guy, nor that there exists something like a good guy. Be warned. Davok: "We were the warriors of the North," "Notorious and brave" "We'd never lost a fight in war, we feared not the grave" to be continued... whole build, almost forgotten

After reading this topic, I wonder; do any of you visit Lego World in Zwolle/Utrecht (the Netherlands) ? For at least 6 years I have been there every year (as visitor, not as builder), and I'll go again in 2016. It always takes place around october, and it is rumoured to be the biggest lego-event of Europe, it would be really awesome if I can meet some of you there!

After a long days work, the farmer brings his harvest to his storage. A small build on my day off, I know it is LDD again, but I ensure you I have a nice wip in real lego :P I just only have access to my lego in the weekends, so in the meanwhile I use LDD. More pictures:

Winter is my favorite, same reason as eomer. This feast and the arriving travelers are just awesome.
