The stonework is excellent in this one, also the color scheme makes it a really nice build
-
This is really one of your best! I love the stonework and maybe I like your woodwork even better, it's really realistic. The only thing that I really notice is the roof on the stone tower which indeed seems a bit out of place, but nonetheless you still made it look good.

This is pretty amazing! I love the wall texturing, and the base is really awesome too

I like that you textured it by adding dark brown, and the texture on the ground is good!

Book II - Mitgardia: Guild sign-up and Discussion
dathil replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
Ofcourse I have, started a new project yesterday. Hope to finish it before end of the month, will be my most detailed build till now. preview will come on flickr :P Im also working on a story, and I need to reintroduce my sigfig for I am probably changing to flesh figs, considering the amount of flesh heads I have right now. -
My phase 3 for the Gate category of AoM. I hope this is sufficient for the title :D I had fun making this, because I did not plan anything, and just looked how it would turn out. The building has some interiors, but the bad part of not planning, is that I couldn't really make pictures of the inside :P Im quite happy with how it turned out, especially with the stonework. I need to work on the roofing though, yet thanks for the guide SK :P I spent most of my salary on lego this month, but maybe I should go for a suitable camera one time. One way, I feel the money used for a camera could have been spent for bricks, but the pictures will probably improve a lot :) Usually I edit the photos with photoshop, but due to me quitting my studies, I do not have the license to use it anymore. Im starting an IT study this year, so I might get the licenses at discount :D Gatehouse phase 3, AoM by David de Rijke, on Flickr

Welcome! always nice to see more and more people joining :D I've a question. I just bought some LOTR sets (goblin king battle, lonely mountain and dol guldur ambush). These sets are awesome and I want to open them, but they are also new in box so they are worth much more than I bought them for. What should I do? :D

Book II - Nocturnus: Guild sign-up and Discussion

I really like to use the Nexo Knights as bad guys too. My little brother really wanted some sets of that line, even though I initially didnt want to :P I also just bought a LOTR Black gate and some extra orcs/goblins, one could think I might swap guild next book :O -
This is really amazing, certainly some of the best Mitgardian architecture I've seen.
-
Awesome, I really like it a lot, especially the houses and the topping of the gate. Only the wooden battlements on the right corner feel a bit strange to me, but that can be just me :)

I look forward to it! I have read all your tutorials and used some of them already :D

im hunting down our 'national e-bay', and whenever someone sells his lego without knowing its worth, im there. That's where I snatched up most of my falcon/wolfpack collection for sometimes less than 1€ per fig

The farmhouse is fabulous, as everyone says! :P I'm not sure about the red windows of the inner building, though its construction is really great!

Im starting to like this collab more and more. I like the roof of the well, and the architectonical details in the facade are great too. Also I like the swords rack.
-
The dragon is awesome! I especially like how you reinforced the gate with the turntable tops, and those droid parts as roof tops look great too!
-
With instructions, no boxes. The parts are in good condition, so I will go for it. I checked bricklink already indeed ^^ I really love to use the troll torso's with other arms, and some sand green arms are always nice too. And the dwarven mine has been on my wanted list for quite a while :P so, expect some castle builds from me next month.

Noriach, summer palace of House Chorian
dathil replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in Guilds of Historica
this build is huge:D I love the architecture, it indeed has a real norse feeling. -
I just stumbled upon someone selling his fantasy era collection (kings castle, mountain fortress, the mine, skull tower, tower with drawbridge and tower with siegetower and some dwarven machinery). What is the estimated worth of it? It is 100% complete, but I can get it for only 185 euro's. Is this worth it? Every single brick in these sets is more than welcome :P

Thanks a lot! I don't really play anymore, I build ;P (that is how I justify it to my friends) so my figs will stay save then. I have set my mind upon making cooler figs, and I definitly need to swap arms for that :P -

I have got a question: what is the best way to swap minifig arms? because, I don't want them to lose their 'stickyness' (I bet you know what I mean) -
Just awesome again! the rock is really great, and I really like the roofs
