  1. Na'im stares emotionlessly at Toren as he falls into the ocean and shakes his head "Crude, very crude master Octavus-what did you hope to achieve by doing this?" He sighs and turns to Kiray "Kiray my dear I think master Elnath here could make better use of that diamond of yours considering he has no gems to make use of." Na'im unravels a scroll of sealing from inside his bag of holding and attempts to cast sealed on the mollusquid from the back row OOC: posting from my phone again so no Bolding of actions for me! My plan here is to take out some of the squids more damaging specials so the lower levelled party members can take him on easier, but if anyone has a better idea please tell me :)
  2. "No wait!" Na'im cries as his plan starts to all go wrong and things start to look serious "We are all intelligent people and we need not come to blows here. For reasons that I am sure are obvious to you, master Octavus we cannot afford to surrender the stone, given the latent power it contains. Heroes, we are not brutish thugs who see fit to fight everyone who gets in our way. Please, Let us talk this through. Master Octavus, please tell us: what do you want with the stone?" Na'im says, his voice much steadier than before Na'im addresses the Prospector in the same low voice"Master Elnath I have the good of the entire party to think about, though I assure you, I have on intention of handing over master Toren if I can avoid it."
  3. Na'im pauses outright and stares at the lucerna beatus. Never before had it failed him and he could not think why. Na'im was distracted however by the appearance of two pretty merpeople at the portside of the vessel, and spreads his arms open wide to meet them, before an enormous wave swamps the ship, dousing him in salt-water and throwing uncereoniously onto his behind. Fortunatly though, it shook him out of his trance and he climbed the remaining steps ot the stern "Now my dear friend, me and my companions are intelligent people and quite open to negotiation. You strike me as a powerful figure, so I must confess I find your eagerness to help this humble vessel and its passengers to brave this strom exceptionally gatifing. But I can assure you need not go to all the trouble. The Lannisters are fine sailors, and I have whole hearted faith in their ability to carry us safely through the storm", Na'im says to the Octopial, sweating badly and his voice halting He turns to Elnath and murmurs in a low whisper "Master Van Cleef, you must surrender Toren to these sea creatures, for the sake of the Nerkastone if nothing else! Much as I admire the strength of our party, I hardly thing we can defeat these powerful merpeople on their home turf. As much as you have become attached to your furry friend, is his life really worth that of your entire crew, my companions from heroica and the unspeakable power you have been tasked to protect?" "My dear Miderun be reasonable" Na'im cries over the wind and rain "These merpeople are civillised beings, just as much as Toren here is, not mindless monsters!"
  4. Na'im was sleeping soundly in his cabin untill he was woken by water spilling under the cabin door and reluctnatly he gets up and heads to the helm to investigate "No master Germ it was not I. I'll have you know I prefer to be able to see which driec-" Na'im crashes into a stack of fireword near the stairs and ends up at the helm on all fours "-tion I am going thank you" finshes Na'im, as he continues to curse under his breath. It was clear he had not yet gained his sea legs Na'im blanches as he heres the chilling song, and is reimnded of another moment a mere month ago when he and his companions waited for a challenge outside Ralli Bookeaters laboratory. "For goodness sake smeone go and fetch the prospector!" splutters Na'im s he empties his hat of rainwater and he shouts up to the Lannisters "In the name of all the Gods, get down here-we need to get the ship back on course. And pray how far away are we from land?" at last he turns to his companions at the helm "Hold still my friends I shall try to cast a little light" Na'im holds up the lucerna beatus and wills it to brighten up-it was an old Fenarian artefact after all and he had been told many years back by the high cleric that its power would decrease the further it went from Fenario-surely the opposite would now apply? OOC: I'm back! Don't know if what I am doing with the Lucerna Beatus is stictly allowed, but I am guessing we shall see our atackers eventually so I don't think it's too unreasonable...
  5. Na'im interlocks his fingers pensively and at last begins his tale "that is a long story so I hope you are prepared to listen a while. A long time ago is was what is known as a zealot-a religious warrior in my culture, somewhat like the Paladins today. I was exceptionally good at my work, and me and my men were unrivalled. Then one day, everything changed. We were sent to the land of Baltarok, to find an old relic that had been stolen by the orcs around those parts. But it was a trap. A cunning orcish warlord by the name of Tarokai lured us into an ambush and though we fought our way out many of us were lost. Once our sorrow subsided it was replaced with anger-surely the clerics who sent us after the artefact must have known if the dangers presented by Tarokai, yet they did not think to warn us. We concluded the clerics cared nothing for our lives and were corrupt and selfish. I was chosen to lead the attempt to assassinate the highpriest and as many other clerics as we could get out hands upon, but we were I'll prepared and the clerics expected us. I thourght it was the end. But fate was kind to me. I had already slain one of the clerics on my way to the highpriest's chambers and now there was a vacancy on the council of clerics-the highpriest respected my zeal and offered me a position as a cleric. I accepted and my brother zealots we're executed. But I did nothing-already I was taken in by this culture of greed that persisted amongst the clerics. But alas it all went wrong again. Many clerics viewed me a an upstart and made a plan to have me removed. They said I had been conspiring with the star elves, which was believable, for I had taken many outsiders into my court and whipped up a mob against me. And so I was forced to flee Fenario with my henchmen and the clothes on my back. Never agin can I forgive my people." Na'im laughs "Not all of us heroes are quite like your late Shadir master Van Cleef. We are all just trying to make a living" OOC: I will be away tomorrow so expect sparse if any posting from me
  6. Na'im turns to the prospector "Now master Van Cleef, you still have not told me who you plan to deliver the nerkastones to if we retrieve them. Not that I do not feel you have Olegias best interests at heart, of course" Na'im says hastily Na'im sighs and looks out into the darkness for a few moments before turning back to his companion "Do you want to know what happened to your old friend Shadir Oswain master Van Cleef?" Na'im says at last Na'im accepts the scroll from Germ "My thanks master Germ. Though if I'd had my way, all of Ralli's scrolls would have been in my possession"
  7. Great build. I still can't deide whether the dump truck or the halftrack looks better... Either way I love the parts usage with the cannon on the dump truck-sometimes it can come off as a bit bulky, but here it dosen't look out of place at all, and really fits in with the industrial atmosphere
  8. Oh wow. That hawk and that nest are just incredible-I truly feel it could just fly out of the picture right now!
  9. Na'im turns to the party "Forgive me my friends I...lost control of my emotions temporaily-it will not happen again" but deep down he felt a rush of gradiitude at their sympathy-these people were willing to kill and fight to make him feel better "Yes I am familiar with the tale of the nerkastones master Van Cleef. Though it is intersting that you should find the blue stone out of the five..." says Na'im at the end of the Prospectors tale, also glancing nervously at the docks to see if anyone would react to the appearance of this strange stone "Now hold on a moment master Van Cleef" Na'im says raising a hand as they prepare to board "Using your own logic, then the Nerkastones belong to the Fenari because it was my race who gained pocession of the Nerkastones and we who suffered for the power they contian" Na'im says indicatng his own pale complexion in disgust "But I am willing to make a compromise. I have little love left for my people. They threw me out with blade and torch. I say that neither the Alphieth or the Fenari should gain the Nerkastones-if we do find them we should throw them into the sea and be done with them" Na'im says, silently daring anyone to respond "Let us be off then master Van Cleef then and make haste" Na'im says at last Na'im turns to Polly "You have relaible sources you say? And what pray might these be?" Na'im asks, not even attempting to keep the suspcion out of his voice
  10. Na'im returns Bobbies stare, and tightens his hand around his staff and sighs at Kiray "Did you have to say that Kiray my dear? You sem to have upset our gullible young friend" He waves a hand at Bobby "I expect you should tell him you were just jesting, hmph?" Na'im says in an authorative tone as if addresing a naughty schololgirl Na'im nods "indeed. You will struggle to find a Fenarian port that will admitt foreign vessels. We-I mean they-are very supsicious and msitrustful of outsiders. Back in my home, we confined outsiers to the lower levels of the city and prevented them form mingling with those who lived in the higher teirs." Na'im smiles gloatingly at the prospector after healing Rocky "Oh it was nothing master Van cleef. Some scholars say a select few individuals are simply born with the ability to manipulate flesh and heal minor injuries. I would chance that you are not one of them" Na'ims words were kindly but it didn't take a genius to sense an air of self-imprtance and gloating pride around his words. He also notices a shinig objet beneath the prospectors robes but resolves to say nothing, merely glaning quizically at the prospector-he didn't expect him to answer honestly in front of all the heroes and his aides Na'im coughs very loudly and obviously. There was a term his old friends in the bloodpaw gang used for women like this-rat poison "Spelesia is a land poulated by the star elves-elves of the worst kind, who combin all the most despicable traits of the elves-pride, decietfullnes, cruelty, selfishness and greed. It was they who drove us Fenarains underground centuries ago, and prevented us from ever walking beneath the fair groves and hills of Spelesia again. It is a land in ruins, for good reason. It was the elves who started this war, and so it is on their land, that the price in blood should be extracted" Na'im says in a low hiss, spittle flying form his mouth as he dose so. At the end of his rant he pauses to catch his breath. That was what he had been told by the grandmaster at the academy when he was a child back in Fenario. But now he was no longer sure if he hated Fenarians or star elves more-better to think about it in a more rested state Na'im conluded
  11. The cactus is nice, but those mosaic backgrounds are the icing on the cake. Great work!
  12. Grat work on the micro buildings-being an avid microbuilder myself, I know how hard it can be to capture details at that level, but you've got it spot on
  13. Anyone looking closely at Na'im might see him grin briefly Just how gullible were these ancients? he thourght, as he took the rest offered to him and adjusted the badge of the smokemaster. His grin turns into a scowl though as he sees the rewards given to the other heroes "Pleasure to meet you all, I'm sure" says Na'im with a bow at the new arrivals "Any interesting finds to your credit master Van Cleef?" Na'im say with a glint in his eye. He too had an eye for rare and valuable artefacts, and liked to view himself as a 'collector' of sorts...at least before he lost his home in Fenario "I suppose we best be off then." says Na'im briskly "Now, which of your luientenats shall be accompanying us master Van Cleef?" Glancing at the coughing dwarf he rolls his eyes at the prospectors efforts to heal the dwarf "Oh please master Van Cleef. We all know that the staff is mightier" he flicks the lucerna beatus upwards dramatically "Than the vial." and concentrates on healing the dwarf "It seems the subtle mastery of the divine art of healing did not enter into your arcane education" observes Na'im
  14. Please transfer 20 credits to CEO Bob
  15. Thanks! I just had a brainave when i saw the pictures on the index and thourght why don't I use them as a background, to make it more realisitic Thank you! Waht can I say? Its one of those things that makes me realise we are all building in the same universe (which I find cool)-something that can't quite be captured with GOH, as there are just too many builds! Very true. That was definately the hardest part for me Thanks! The entire build basically started with me looking at the engines and imagining them as the hull of a ship Thanks! My part collection isn't massive anyway, so I'm kind of limited with the scale of what I can do, but that's why I love microscale so much
  16. Na'im swallows. He swore he would never go back to that place, to his homeland, all those years ago when he stared across the water towards the mob demanding he be flayed alive. But here he was catapulting himself back into the very lands he left all those years ago. What had he got himself into? "In common?" Na'im asks bluntly, reaching a hand towards his money bag, before remembering their were only five gold pieces there Na'im glances at the pile of logs uncertainly, and addresses the ancients carefully: "now my friends, you see I am not as young as I used to be, and I assure you I am not entirely cut out for this kind of work. My physical strength is not exactly what it once was..."
  17. The rules page says clerics can use 'heavy, blunt weapons'. Dose this mean I can use clubs?
  18. OOC: Just asking Purpeal, but how do I have only 2 gold? I had 103 gold after quest 128 and Pretezels purchases cost 98 gold Also just to everyone in general I will be quite busy in the next few months so I won't be nearly as active as I was on quest 128, but I'll make sure to warn everyone before I leave. Just a brief heads-up Apart from that, the quest looks good Purpeal and I can't wait to begin properly Na'im smiles "Ah yes but we all have to start somewhere my dear Kiray. Someday, we will all become as great as the legends who have gone beofore us you see. It is how the world works-the young replace the old, the novice the master and time goses on. Don't be disheartened. To me most heroes seem exceptionally experienced anyway" and laughs for a brief moment "Indeed, indeed. I'm sure our old friend Boris would have some quote about the value of companionship but alas, he is not here to join us" Na'im opens his mounth to respond, but his sentence turns into a splutter. "We're going to Spelesia!" Na'im exclaims, his face blanching, if possible, even more "The sign up sheet said nothing about going to Spelesia!" Na'im stammerss looking around anxiously as if looking for an escape route
  19. So Pretezel bases his opinions off the people he meets from each species? You know, I think I need a list of all the species Pretzel likes and dislikes now
  20. [Prophet security systems Log entry 001345] "Ladies and gentlement this is your captain speaking. As you may hae been aware form the unpleasent sensations many of you will have experienced during the voyage, our journey by means of the GATE system is complete and we have arrived in the Andromeda galaxy" Widespread cheering can be heard throughout the ship "Unfortunately, as eager as youmust be to recuperate for a while at Octan HQ on Farmolis, I am afraid I have direct orders form President Buissenss himself to take the ship to the Kaalin system, where you will undoubtly recieve furthur details on your objectives" Sounds of anger and frustration can be heard from across the ship "Now please! It appears that Octan is having difficulty securing the planet and furthur asistance is urgently required. We have reports of hostile wildlife and several missing work teams who haven't reported in for days. Please report all complaints to Octan's reparations department-In extrordinary circumstances, registered compaints may be addresed within the next ten years" [Prophet security systems log entry closed] Distressed worker: "Its propostreous! You'd think they didn't care about their employees at all. I didn't travel all this way-" Ensign Claudius: "Well what did you expect? Banners saying 'welcome to Andromeda' and a celebratory cake?!" Distressed worker: "Well that would be nice yes-" Ensign Caludius: "That ain't gonna happen anytime soon. Octan don't give two sh*ts sbout its people out here. I should know. Now suit up people, we've got a job to do when we get down there" My first MOC for AG -I'm sorry about the poor photo editing, but I really have very little experience in this department. I hope you like it especially the first picture (I was trying to create a SW style scene-Don't know if it worked). Thanks for looking and C&C welcome
  21. Na'im pause atop crescent hill, to admire the view. in daytime, Eubric seemed like a different ciy, with no pickpockets or mugggers to worry about. Looking down he could see all the way out to fort bonaparte and he breathed in the sea air deeply. Eubric had to be his faviourate city on olegia. Looking around he spotted the assembled party members and a buch of queer ancients, but at last he spotted a familiar face at last: "Master Mihnak, you were accepted too I take it?" To the ancients Na'im says; "Na'im thamir, hero of heroica at your service" with a deep bow And with that he turns to look at the rest of the party Na'im stares blankly at the young uncultured stranger with the strange haircut "Excuse me, but I think you have the wrong place young man-this is a gathering of heroes of Heroica not random vagrants off the backstreets of the hovels." His voice is smooth, but there was an edge underneath it which suggests that Na'im did not like Young Bucks at all Turning to Kiray, he reaches down and kisses her hand. "Kiray Nastayo I presume? 'Tis a pleasure to be questing with such an esteemed hero as yourself.
  22. No worries But I thourght Pretzel dosen't lilke Fenarains and most other species in the first place? Quite ironic really, that it should happen to me of all players
  23. Na'im scoffs "Now really, It's only one gold piece master monk. And I must say you seem to be doing perfectly good buisness anyway, with all the customers you are getting." nonetheless, Na'im flicks the artisan the last gold piece "Pleasure doing buiness with you master Pretzel" Na'im say accpeting his supplies, and sets off into the open world again, this time more prepared and experienced than before....
  24. Seeing the prospector enter the hall, Na'im gets up and makes ready to leave, but makes his way over to monk pretezel before he dose so "So how is my shopping getting along my dear monk? I should be getting ready to leave soon." he says glancing at the other heroes for the quest filing out of the door ot the hall OOC:Palathadric, I don't know if you noticed with all the post flying around, but Na'im made some purchasing requests (under the 15% discount Pretezel was offering) a few posts back-would it be ok if you could make them before I leave for quest 136?
  25. Na'im waves farewell to friend and goses to sit by Mihnak, noting the exchange between the ranger and the monk. "Always the buisnessman aren't we master Mihnak?" he says, a flicker of amsument in his eyes "The half elf wont be happy." in spite of this Na'im pulls out a sheet of parchment and an elagent quill and begins writing down a list. At last he finishes and finds Pretezel "You must be monk Pretezel I presume?" Na'im says with a small bow "I have a few items here I require. I'll need them within the next few days if you don't mind, for I may be leaving on a quest sometime soon. Many thanks master Pretezel." Na'im says with a final bow and returns to find Mihnak, leaving Pretzel with 97 gold with which to make the purchases. The items were: 1 Phoenix essence 3 tonics 1 remedy 1 shovel
