Thanks!! Yes mine were 8 and 6. We didn't do anything other than set up our MOC's, spend money and build sets. My kids had been saving their money for 5 months so had great fun shopping and actually buying lego on person. We always had stuff to trade and some of the vendors were great at trading. They also really enjoyed just building, sets they bought there or from the pot of lego I bought with me. We signed up for a couple of games but never made it to them. At that age also they liked to hang close- there were a couple of older children, 10-11 that they would go and play with for a bit. It really is more Afol but that is fine, as long as the kids are not crazy everyone is nice to them. Cheers

Wow what great pictures!!! Thanks so much for taking them and sharing. I really didn't have enough time to look and see everything. I cannot say enough about what a great event Brickfair VA is, loved my first time experience, my young family were all made to feel so welcome. Do you mind if I share your albulm elsewhere? Did you display anything? My daughter and I did the friendly wars- my son and I the lego Star Wars rebels attack, and then I can truly say my entire family helped with or Star Wars Endor build, after a day and a half I quit putting grass and foliage down and my wife took over. Cheers

Cool thanks for the heads up- I'm not picky either but I like to plan ahead, may try to bring a cooler to stuff some food in :) We have not attended VA before- someone mentioned in a previous post that we should bring our own chairs- we didn't have to do that in Alabama so curious if it is actually the case- if so I'll have to strap them to the top of the car or buy some there. Looking forward to it- my son and daughter and I will have some Star Wars scenes that we have been working on for a while. He's currently working on his vignette swap thing- we are all really excited! Cheers

[MOC] The GHOST from Star Wars: Rebels
Bricksnaps replied to DarthTwoShedsJackson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So cool. Take your time- it will be worth the wait! -
I have just rewatched and screenshoted (is that a word?) There are 2 snow speeders and they look very similar to the current offering (I have 12) This is clearly designed to go along with the current snow speeders and at at walkers. Hans is def there.

Isn't that Han on the Taunton looking in on the Wampa cave?
-
Sweet! You have to think so. I doubt the interior is included i.e the hanger but the doers, control room, wampa cave, ion canon and canons outside will be. The fact there are no snow speeders I think is interesting in the movie, it allows the. To highlight the set. Pretty cool thanks for linking

Sith Infiltrator has a 7-20 arrival date at Lego stores (not shop at home). You may see it sooner.

[MOC] The GHOST from Star Wars: Rebels
Bricksnaps replied to DarthTwoShedsJackson's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I love this MOC. Thanks for taking the time to share it. I would love any files if you are willing to share them. Maybe even if you put them on rebrickable and charge a modest fee for your time and skill. It's a great MOC- I have a ghost in a box waiting to give my son- but j want to build this :) -
transporting a moc via aeroplane
Bricksnaps replied to BrickCurve's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I'm going to brickfair va at the end of the month and it's a 13. Hr drive. My mic is 9ft long though so I'd rather drive then risk it on a olanex Good luck, you have a month, why not rebuild in sections- that's a good fun experience in itself. It's a good moc I like it -
Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here
Bricksnaps replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It depends what you are using them for. I have approx 400 snowtroopers that I had for a Hoth MOC. I had a mixture, in that sort of scene it didnt really make a difference. My average buy price per ST was $3.50 and I bought all of them on ebay so they are still reasonably priced. -
BrickFair VA-What to Expect?
Bricksnaps replied to AwesomeBantha's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Thanks Danny- good to know about walmart. I just saw the program has been posted, I was not aware that everything started on Wednesday- a day earlier than alabama. With that being said, when do the tables start filling up with MOC's. I'll be hailing the wife and two kids on a 12 hour drive and we were planning on driving part way on weds and arrive lunch time on Thursday to begin to set up. With that being said we will have at least a 9ft moc and then my children's ones too all in the same theme in pop culture. I want to make sure we get there early enough tk have a good location and to be able to keep all of our stuff together. Hoping thurs midday will be good, however I'll try to twist my wife's arm and skip a trip to the Biltmore in NC on weds so that we will be there in time for thurs for the mini fig swap. Anymore advise and tips are more than welcomed :) -
I think more importantly...how do we stop friends of our own children playin with our lego and breaking theirs. That is one off my biggest parenting dilemas. My children and I spend hours of family time together building, playing and lots of money too...only for some kid next door to break it up. We basically started shutting off rooms and limiting who comes over...my kids are happy with that too.

this is superb...great work..I am a bit of a novice...do you ahve any instructions that you are willing to share? thanks.

This would be great with a few more of them and a crashed xwing. great build.

Well I just got my second set on ebay for $190 plus shipping...so I am going to try doubling up. I def am going to double the height of the trees but I am thinking about adding an additional one if I can s that we can have another bridge walkway. My son made the first set all by himself and I really love the set, he is 8 and it has fantastic playability...it could be one of my fav playset pieces of all time. I cannot wait to add our AT-ST walkers to it also.

You used the word ethical. I think linking to where someone can buy or see the designers original instructions is fine. That would be an ethicaly right thing to do. An unethical thing to do would be to sell it as your build or your own design. If it was a painting I would sell the painting as painted by 'xxxxxx'. I wouldn't sell it as a painting I made. You have no obligation to the original designer unless it says so in the agreement when you purchased the instructions. But you are looking at what is ethically the right thing to do- I think you know the answer.

Man that sucks! This will be fun to see answers. I built a hoth scene for a show in jan and made it modular but it took a while to put together aswell as all the figures etx. At the end of the show I just smashed it up- that I can tell you was a great freeing feeling! Ha. Some people did look at me like I had committed some huge lego sin. Anyway I am rebuilding hoth and making t much bigger but I am designing jt as an even better modular unit so that pieces fit inside pieces. I think I will probably make some custom boxes to take it in as we will be driving 12 hours for the next one in August.

Portsmouth (UK) Lego Show - 23rd May 2015
Bricksnaps replied to DavidT's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Sweet- we live in States but will be back he in sunny Bognor then- I think we try to plan a visit to coincide taking the kiddos to HMS Victory. Excited to visit a lego show whilst there, sad we can't really bring anything to exhibit but it will be fun to come and look -
Where is it? What is it similar to? When is it? That would all help.

Tips for Displaying at LEGO Conventions?
Bricksnaps replied to Adeel Zubair's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Hi- Can you elaborate on this a little. I am curious by this, we have exhibited once this year and will be again laer this year and plan to do a few more in the next 12-18 months and are building and collecting accordingly. For my son and I it is a fun thing for us to do, I a a go big or go home kind of guy and our MOC at our first show got 2nd place public favourtie for a large MOC, which we are doubling in size for the next one and including many more little bits of fun detail. I retired a photography business last year, building legos help me channel my artistic side and I see a big MOC like a big painting or portrait.
