  1. And then when the waiting is finally over it will be the same as every other year with everyone's responses from 'Awesome' and 'excellent', 'Fits perfect with my modular ton' to 'Meh' , 'not what I was expecting' or can't believe they have released this instead of that, etc
  2. I would hazard a guess that on the January store calendars, that there will just be a blank box place holder showing if anything, for the announcement of the new modular building (similar to what has been in recent catalogues) as these calendar will have already been printed and getting distributed, so if there was a pic of the new modular, I would have thought it would have leaked by now as the calendar printing will be outsourced.
  3. I'm kind of liking the Fire sets apart from the big bulky water cannons on some of them. The fire station set 60215, looks like an updated version of of 7240 from 2005. Its a kind of an in between station IMO, as going by the jet ski, I thought it was to cover a water area ie docks or river so could have been a water rescue stn and compliment 60213 Dockside fire, but the vehicle that comes with it is more akin to a wildfire truck, which could be to compliment the fire plane set, so its neither a water stn or wildfire stn. There appears to be 4 different fire uniforms this time which is a bit strange but maybe to do with the roles each minifig does. The usual white shirt for the officers but then you have some in black, some in tan and some in an orange/yellow!
  4. Excellent! This is what the WV Firestation should have had instead of the fire engine. Top marks
  5. They could always do something similar like when they released the DO in January 2015 and there was a free with qualifying purchase of the flower cart, but this time having a dohnut stand if it is a Police Stn!
  6. How good would that be if it happened. I know re-release of CC or GG not to everyone's taste, but if it was in addition to the years new release I have no issue. They certainly seem to be about to make room for some 'New' releases if some of those big sets are about to be retired.
  7. Well jalemac34, if this is as you say, your last creation, you certainly are going out with a bang as this is a very impressive MOC. Loads of detail and I really like they way you have handled the angled corners. With this standard I hope there has been confusion with the translation from French to English and you actually mean latest creation instead of last!
  8. You could always make the fire engine into a horse drawn pump! Or turn the fire station into something for your tourists
  9. There might also be some royalty fees to pay Vesta's too.
  10. I guess it is the price it is, because it comes complete with power function motors, so that will bump it up a bit! Quite happy to see this released mainstream, as I didn't fancy paying secondary market prices for the original staff gift set 4999. This will fit nicely to my mini wind farm of 3 wind turbines from set 7747.
  11. Happy to see a Fire Station released as the latest release for the WV series for many reasons, not just because I'm a firefighter. Its good to see that the series is kind of back on the format of small styled buildings from the original first 3 releases, as I personally thought the cottage was too big and looked out of place and the santa workshop although nice seemed a blip in the series imo and I won't go there with the re-released Toy shop. Anyway back to the Fire Station and the Fire service fits in with the WV them as in many towns and villages, the Fire Service are involved with festivities by driving Santa through towns/villages and many a fire engine can be seen out and about assisting putting up Xmas decorations. Yes the building maybe doesn't look like the style of the first 3 buildings, ie sloped roof with snow on and does look more like a Chicago/New York style station, but I like it all the same and it was never going to suit everyones pallet after seeing some of the Winter Fire Stations MOC's that have been made. This is maybe why the designers made it this way so it couldn't be claimed as a copy or too similar to someones creation. On this note, I did build one myself on the Lego Inside Tour in 2014 but mine had sloped roofs too. The engine is neat and fits the era it is designed for. Maybe the only change I would have made is having the ladder in Reddish Brown to resemble a wooden ladder. The firefighters uniforms are great, hope these become available on BnP as would get these for my city Firefighters to use on ceremonial parades.
  12. Oh well you got an extra motor which is one bonus. I guess the CS operator was using the terms engine and motor as the same thing, but I cant see how getting another motor would complete the look of the set!
  13. Hi shotgunmcos. I had a similar response from CS to my email. They even said to leave it a couple of days as BnP was having technical issues. The train base plate isn't even listed for purchase and the nose piece is out of stock. I thought they may have offered to sell bags 2 & 3 along with the base plate rather thn going through BnP Kits sounds like a good idea. Will have to see when that happens That is slow. I got a reply within 24 hrs
  14. Could the set 60223 Harvester Transporter actually be transporting a wood/tree harvester, ie on tracked wheels rather than a farm/agricultural harvester as this would compliment this years set, 60181 Forest Tractor? Just a thought
  15. sed6 you certainly struck gold with this Lego customer service rep. I hope its not just the motor they send out. Hi Goldenmasamune. Did you get a reply from CS?
  16. Great looking build. Very fresh and Mediterranean looking. Colours really stand out. This would look great in a beach/waterfront setting IMO.
  17. What a great moc. This has to be one of the biggest Lego Fire Stations I've seen. I like the boat launch out of the rear into the river, nice idea.
  18. Great creation Bricked1980. Good use of the available space to fit in so many different businesses. Would vote for this on Ideas. Modular line definitely needs a Post Office
  19. The 88000 battery box will be out of stock, as it is also in the UK, more than likely due to the fact there are 2 new 'city' train sets just about to be released that will have these in them to power the trains motors, so stock will have been dried up for use with these 2 sets.
  20. A wonderful multi use building. Cute restaurant. Loads of nice colours used. Cool little areas for the tailors and sculptures room. I like the sewing machine in the tailors and it looks like the guy crushing the grapes has sampled a fair bit of the wares.
  21. Quoting my own question about the 3 minifigs on the platform and specifically the blonde minifg, having looked closer at the coaches of the passenger train and the stickers on the windows, the first coach (nearest the engine) would appear to have a sticker that might indicate a buffet car and the second coach has stickers that look like a reclining seat so it looks more like the blonde minifig has the 'barista' minifig outfit which coincidentally has appeared in the winter village Holiday Train and Train station.
  22. Lovely buildings and great building techniques.
  23. That's going to be a tricky job getting the cab sticker straight to line up perfectly with the rest of the Passenger Train engine livery. And in the photo at the train stop there are 3 minifigs. Will this come with 3 or 4 minifigs with the blonde female the train driver in a new train company uniform but it kind of looks more like a 'Barista' uniform so is she from a buffet service? and the driver is hidden on the train? Should be official pics soon
  24. Good too see an electric re-charge facility, but it would have been better using a string piece like in 60132 Service Station instead of a hose piece. Maybe with all this use of green energy we will see a need Wind Turbine set like 7747 Wind Turbine or 4999 Vestas Wind Turbine.
