They had three mixed bins of parts today in the LEGO Store in Hamburg. After a few seconds I realized that these parts came mostly from a de-assembled Kwik-E-Mart! There were still some nice parts in the bins like both black minifig bags or other printed parts like the newspaper and donuts. I also grabbed almost a hundred dark orange slopes from the roof and other useful parts. Fun. :)

Great build with a stunning facade. Very true to the original. I have to admit however, that it kinda hurts a bit to see 1x2 sand green bricks with groove being placed most people won't see them. ;-)

The athomsphere in this build is outstanding. The exterior is already very nice but the interior is beyond awesome. So many nice little builds with clever part usages. A true inspiration.

Very nice modular. The facade is built very clean and totally flawless. The interior is also spot on. Nice one!

That's a great build with so much detail to look at. Thanks for the many pictures of the interior.

This is fantastic. The details and colors of the buildings are gorgeous and the whole scene looks very lively. The ground details of the base add a nice touch. A real masterpiece!

Lovely build! Is the curved wall bent or hinge'd?

LDD and colors
peedeejay replied to ProvenceTristram's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
This. Of course this doesnt help you in your present situation, but maybe for future builds. I always build in LDD mode but double check with Bricklink, because LDD mode is not 100% correct and sometimes parts do exist but are bloody expensive... -
Looking at the images again, it seems the sand blue wall uses normal 1x2 bricks and not the grooved ones. If that's true, we finally get a new supply of those!

Another good looking set, even though I also have to admit that I was a little underwhelmed on first sight. The building techniques and little details make up for that though. The buildings itself are nice, even though I am not totally in love with the building on the right. Furthermore the buildings are quite small again, but we are already used to that. I am hyped for some of the new parts however, especially the SNOT corner piece, which could have helped me in various situations already where I had to sacrifice detail in order to make it work otherwise. The new tiles are cool as well. The colors of the press release photos are again quite annoying, since it's almost impossible to distinguish between Medium Dark Flesh and Dark Orange, which leaves some open quetions, like whether that is a MDF or DO 1x1 tile in the parts selection (I assume MDF) or whether the oven within the bakery is MDF or DO (I assume MDF, because otherwise we'd get DO 1x2 Masonry Bricks which would definitely been mentioned separately.) The references to previous modulars are cool, but LEGO really should have added a bunch of 1x2 Bricks with Groove in Sand Green, just to be nice. ;-)

Stunning creation! Love the WIP shots which give a great insight on your build.

Fantastic build! The oil dripping out of the pipes is by far my favorite detail.

Wow this is stunning in every possible way!

Damn woootles I feel sorry for you... I fear this might be a reaction of Lepin being sued by TLG. I dont see a chance of a single person taking legal actions and winnimg against those clowns from Lepin...

Nice build. I like the simplistic design of the exterior which totally works here, even though I may have used a third color next to black and tan. The interior also has some cool details.

This build is spot on. Nicely done!

Went to the Tysons Corner LEGO Store near Washington yesterday (first time ever going to a store outside of Germany!) and they had lots of sand green 1x1 bricks and 1x2 plates. Yay!
