  1. That taxi is so tacky (in a good way!) and very scifi. You did a very nice job on the street scene build and even included stuff up on the roof even though it is only visible in one picture.
  2. Wow, was not expecting a full MANTIS train! It looks really great and I love how it is retro-futuristic. Plus Chogg!
  3. Yeah, the tanks tracks in the snow is easily the coolest feature here. Nice subtle terrain too.
  4. The lab is incredible, especially the rooftop. I love all the little details like the coffee makers. The lady who keeps injecting awesomnium is neat too. I always look forward to your builds and stories!
  5. Thanks for the personnel recap, some of the new people on MANTIS I had to try to remember. Another hilarious build and story. Poor Eshey...
  6. I like the hole in the ground effect you achieved. Very well done!
  7. As a WWII history fan I also like the inspiration of this design. I don't love the look, but at 30-40% off I'd certainly buy it for the figs and parts. Great review!
  8. Location: F10 Arium Major Tags: Science, Land Vehicle // PERSONAL DIARY // ED-208 and I had managed to process the data and it all seemed to point to Arium Major. A planet I had been on before, but one that seemed to hold new allure as we pondered what we would find. I had tasked ED-208 with our transportation on the planet while I had worked out the details of getting there and had set up a signal tracking system that would help us better pinpoint where the signals data bad been going once on the planet. In what I would term an overabundance of caution, ED-208 had selected an Octan defense vehicle with 4 heavy anti-armor missiles. It seemed like it would be a bit much, but he pointed out that with Arium Major's largely oceanic surface the tracked vehicle would be most useful on sand and any other terrain we encountered. Which was a very valid and well thought out notion. Once on planet we set off with ED-208 driving while I used the signal locator to give us a direction. It was rather difficult to track the signal since the vehicle only had a driver's seat and I was forced to hang on. ED-208 said it was a simple oversight on his part, which seemed odd since there is only the 2 of us. But we went on and I could feel a thrill run up and down my spine as the signal got stronger and stronger. Soon I would have answers for Dr. Long. And she would be so proud of me!
  9. Great story and incredible build. You've perfectly captured the Empire look completely. The wall segments where the light comes through is stunning, I'm still looking at it trying to figure out how you managed it!
  10. My TIE's cockpit is very snug, but it ironically feels huge because the viewport looks out into the neverending expanse of space. It never feels cramped or claustrophobic as a result. But my lastest mission which is actually in a space much larger has me quite apprehensive. I've somehow ended up working for the Black Sun under the orders of the Empire. I'm supposed to be helping to destroy the Ororo transportation company. And despite my status as a pilot, they saw fit to send me in with a small specialized ground force. Not sure how that works, but I'm smart enough not to ask questions. I'm the explosives "expert" on this mission and the other guys are mostly around to make sure I'm able to do what I need to do. We are going to target a main electrical room via an underground tunnel used for maintenance. Once I blow that up other elements will carry out more direct assaults. We shouldn't run into anyone, so I'm hoping I get to just plant the charges and get out. These new thermal detonators are quite powerful and should easily be able to knock out the electricity. I triple checked their timing settings so we should have enough time to exit the tunnel before they go off. Things are so different on the ground. In space the explosions happen but they are brief. And there is no sound. But here on the ground the explosions are vivid, noisy, and can be felt in your stomach. The rumble initially is felt in your feet and makes the hairs on your neck stand up. It is awe inspiring the power those explosives hold. No Figs:
  11. 43 credits to Bob please.
  12. Really great foliage and a well defined sense of activity. You have some very nice posing of the minifigs. I like that the landing pad and MOC base are both irregularly shaped.
  13. Yeah, love that MPEV. The front shape is simple but very effective. Any other pics of it?
  14. Won't matter for this week, but I would please like to purchase a Crystallizer. Thanks!
  15. Those orange bushes stand out nicely as the only color on the landscape. The missile launcher has a very Russian feel to it. Function over form and very rugged.
  16. Fantastic story as always. Love the birds eating the berries on that cool speeder!
  17. Great fire effect. I like how you have the turret hatch and then the rear hatch on the buggy. And the shaping transition between the front and the rear half of the buggy is nicely done also... it flows well.
  18. I like the first picture with the perspective shot. And the cockpit on the ship with the clamshell opening is really cool and unique. My one criticism is the visible studs below the first row of black tiles is a bit distracting. Very interesting story line too!
  19. The mobile HQ is awesome! That animal tree is... Interesting. I've never taken acid before, but I imagine this is what it would be like. Oh and love bearded sister and the line about a always finding her annoying.
  20. I like the comm station and the landscaping. The cut outs around the parts of the comm station are well integrated.
  21. That may be the most parts per square inch of any build I can remember! The various plants are fantastic and some really excellent parts usage. Some great visual movement in the scene with the plants pointing up and down.
  22. We should probably train our drones not to hit the TNT crates with sledgehammers... Probably my favorite build from you. Has a great atmosphere, nice layout and just the right color variation. The opening door and full interior were nice bonuses. Great to see you back in real bricks too!
  23. Overall you did well capturing them from that scene. But Optimus looks too skinny. The legs especially, but overall I think he is maybe 2 studs too narrow. I know it can be tough with the parts available, but he looks kind of wimpy now. Megatron looks really good!
  24. The vegetation and waterfall are definitely top notch. I feel bad for you though, that giant duck is gonna be a tough build.
  25. Location: H06 Farmolis Tags: Science // PERSONAL DIARY // With all of the unknown activities going on lately and the news of alien fleets suddenly appearing I knew that I needed to get to the bottom of my mystery. Who was putting out all these listening devices and why? Dr. Long trusts me and I have been letting her down. I had a bunch of data but needed some serious computing power to try and make sense of it all. So I headed back to the Axle above Farmolis and took over one of the computing centers. Some of the other scientists were unhappy that I was utilizing the whole room for myself, but I told them I was doing vital research for Dr. Long. Whatever beer recipe or research on rocks or whatever they were doing would have to wait. I was attempting to solve an issue that could keep our corporation or possibly entire species safe! I didn't need any of our oPads (Octan Personal Assistant Device) or oMacs (Octan Miniature Assistant Computer System), but ED-208 still insisted that he would guard them and keep anyone else from using them. I know he was trying to be helpful so I let him. I'm glad they installed the new reclining chairs with the multimonitor setup. We used to have to sit in regular chairs like some sort of primitive ape! These new seats are much more comfortable. ED-208 again suggested that we should be researching weapons so that whoever is trying to spy on us will get what they deserve. I pointed out to him that we first needed to know what we were up against before we worried about a solution. But he is right that once we figure out the who, I'll need to have a suggested course of action for Dr. Long. I know the safety of all her employees weighs heavily on her mind. If we could even figure out a main planet that these devices originated from I could send some drones to scout it out. And if ED-208 and I could eliminate the threat I'm sure Dr. Long would be very grateful. I bet she would hold a special dinner in my honor and I'd get to sit right next to her!
