LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion
Sven F replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I am on the same train, but i often get surprised how useful a certain part of a figure can become, 2 or 3 years after i systematically avoided said character out of apparent uselessness. -
Thanks, so 2010 on i guess. I must say all the older 70's stuff I've seen so far in segments on youtube seem a lot more interesting.

I want to like this, but i know nothing of Dr. Who, where do you suggest is a good starting point to get to know the characters and the show which are depicted in the LEGO set?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 15 Rumors and Discussion

If you compare the colors with other renders, eg. Monster rocker who is sand blue, there is an obvious difference in shades. Looks closer to the dbg hood of the spectre, but maybe they use different light settings. -

Does anyone know if the janitor torso is dark bluish grey, light grey or sand blue,? -

i don't care even if we get 16 transexual cyclopses with yeti popsicles as long as at least one character has this hood piece in a decent color: and an acoustic guitar. -
Cool. I'd prefer this to Lego's version, both of them really. I think i saw similar trams in Lithuania, same color scheme too.

Not really, I collect tools, but that doesn't count because it's out of need, not because I like them. Collecting is a psychological trap. I don't collect anything for the same reasons I don't gamble or smoke.

You are taking things out of context, do you by any chance work for daily mail? I would link to a documentary that deals with merchandise forgery which mostly involves clothes but also expands way up to fake medicine, it may open your eyes to the scale of damage this causes. Bootleg lego might not use chained slaves to assemble your flash figure, but the general idea of that world leads to far greater damage than financial losses. What fuels this world could be debated, but in part it is undoubtedly the ignorance of consumers obsessed with obtaining things beyond their budget. I can't really blame you for being manipulated into wanting things, but it's the arrogance you show by shouting how it's your right to do whatever you like that calls for education on the matter.

I didn't mean to suggest that this topic promotes them, but others do. BigPoppa, what is your right is decided by law. If you live in China where copyrights and trademarks hold no meaning, then those rights you have. You also have the right to spend your money on cocaine if your moral standards differ from those implied by your state. I don't really care what you do, and i care even less about spoilt consumers with a sense of entitlement towards toys they can't afford.

I despise all companies that STEAL ideas and designs from others out of incompetence to make their own. They use loopholes in the law or simply break the law to make easy money. They are criminals. Quality and price play no part in this. I consider anyone who buys these "brands" a traitor to TLG and their fans, and they should be responsible by law to pay damages for supporting the illegal copying industry that costs the original company money which you in turn pay back through their products. I also think this forum as a loyal fan-base should not support any topics that promote the sale of such knockoffs, which it currently does. In fact, I would go to such lengths to automatically censor the names of such "brands" to avoid improving their search ranks or potentially informing anyone of their existence.

If the mop guy is dbg, i'll need his arms so my sigfig can finally wear short sleeves. A lot of figs to buy from this series, and most of them just for one or two parts. Skunk lady mostly for the skunk farmer mostly for the pig satyr for the torso (i need beach folk) wrestler for the mullet janitor for the mop, sleeves, head and everything. ballerina for the dress and hairpiece Tribal girl for the baby clumsy guy for the crutches, t-shirt and everything Jewel thief mostly for the hairpiece Queen mostly for the hairpiece Don't care much for the robot or the winged hood ornament. -
Best sets in themes: Elves, Ninjago and especially extraordinary the seasonal vignettes. (mind you i don't buy these normaly) ideas also had a good run, and the often forgotten juniors. Best set: Wall-e Most disappointing themes: Creator & city Most disappointing set: heavy haul train I hate the monster cmf's except the black cat, but i can't say they aren't well done. Best minifigure: Amy and Raj from tbbt

Yes, but LEGO didn't release their color names to the public when the bricklink database was created. Basically you have to memorize both names for every color. Maybe bricklink should have alternate names in brackets or use a menu to select which names to show. I personally find the official color names more confusing and illogical.

The adventure camp set is great (minus the giant slide piece) I like the cake shop, not so much the supermarket (minimarket?), and the rock star house is just too much for my taste, I like that they use trans-clear pieces instead of ghastly tinted ones and a lot of brown, tan and white. If they made them even less pink, there would be that many more usable parts for town builders.
-
You are right, I was looking at it wrong, thought the short side was the long side of the brick. too bad.
-
Can any of you who got the gift gingerbread house confirm which bricks are used for the chimney? They look like black 1x2 bricks with groove, but seem to have rounded sides. Is this a new part? There is no bricklink inventory for this set yet. can be seen in Jang's video review at 3:44

Sure we will, on ebay with a 70% markup. Luckily i do a lot of traveling in the summer when these are due, and Germany happens to be a big place in my way of wherever i wish to go. If these don't come with any special parts or hairs, i don't think i'll care for them anyway.

I meant as photos, not actual brick builds on show, I would assume a lot of those bricks get recycled between builds besides jarjar -

You should do a jar-jar exhibition, you have enough material now to fill an arts museum. I enjoy all your funnies, I just don't repeat how great it is every time because the comments would become boring, but your work is not. Funny stuff. -

Nope, patience is an alien term in the world of gaming, tech and everything geek. There's a glitch in our brain. I really think these types of communities should employ some meditation classes since lack of patience is hardly the worst symptom that works against our wellbeing. -
Little Timmy and his nostalgic mom first, AFOLS on the backburner. We really need to be put in our place sometimes.

Great to see some appreciation for lego hair, the variety today compared to pre-sw era circa 1999 is astonishing. I remember you had about 2 male and two female hairs to choose from, now it's hard to keep track of them. I used to want to collect every known hair mold, but given up, as there must be others with the same idea driving prices out of reach.

Nice to see some olive green, but i see the trans-blue glass is making a comeback, very unwelcome for me, i hate it, it's the single worst thing lego does.

I Thanks. I will substitute the blue pillars like this then. I have the single pane door in old light grey from another set or I can get the opposite side one, but I haven't found anything to replace the large front 6-pane door. I have a red one, but that won't look right. I'd rather have a different door than something that doesn't fit in.
