  1. And at first i was happy our store didn't have those build a model tubs. Those jumpers would be useful. No jelly beans either.
  2. Same, except they are assembled sans the extra pet shop which I am still weighing on weather to sell or build.
  3. That Jack figure would be veeery popular. long legs or not. In fact I prefer the short ones. This Disney theme might not be all that bad after all.
  4. Good news for some. I hate molded heads, it diminishes the purpose of a minifigure and goes against the concept of creativity through part exchange ability which LEGO is supposed to be about.
  5. I think the set code has a lot to do whith what is a minifigure series and what is a sw ucs set for example. Even though mf could mean anything, we know what it's not.
  6. Genius. In fact it's the first time I see it used this well. The only reason you don't work for TLG is you probably have a better job already. All your work is outstanding.
  7. Is this available in europe? Since we don't have thanks giving here. All the seasonals are great, except the halloween one. Whoever thought of this vignette format instead of the old 'lego basic' style bulds is a genius.
  8. I am hoping for dominant use of dark red or dark green (not both) a return of sand red would be very welcome but unlikely. Sand green could be used again though, the color of money. Just hoping no tan.
  9. Mmmm... white jumper plates, only thing better than that is brown jumper plates. I'm still waiting for dark red 1x2 bricks here.
  10. Thanks for that. When he says every line goes year by year, I hope that doesn't mean it takes only one floppy set to retire the whole theme. I'd be interested to know why the modular minifigs all have the classic smiley faces.
  11. That would fit very badly with the rest of the modulars, IMO. It looks like an ancient palace. The architecture should be late 19th century at the earliest, Art Nouveau ideally.
  12. It's highly unlikely the baseplate size will change, especially for a bank. I would really love a corner building with a round tower roof, like this or this but not sure that's suitable for a bank which usually has a huge entrance door. Neo-Greek style is possible, but tricky for a corner.
  13. Variants were put in S2 for all the newcomers who didn't catch the first wave. Who would want miss Krabaple, but not have any of the actual Simpsons? Though Milhouse really didn't need a repeat
  14. I know, the Friends cartoon series is also like that. It's definitely more work, but I would expect no less from LEGO. I am too purist for generic worlds. It just bothers me.
  15. I need something in January to get over the horrid winter, in July i have other hobbies that usually involve a sunny beach with disposable funds redirected accordingly Maybe the modular release is back to January then.
  16. Am I the only one who is bothered that the lego world isn't made out of bricks but just generic 3d models with textures?
  17. I think the Simpsons are very bad sellers. You can tell by the supply lasting way longer than normal series. Almost every character needs a unique new mold for the head so the cost of production is probably higher too. Also the effect of "must get them all" versus "i'll just get the ones i like" plays a role, as I am either going to get all the Simpsons, or none at all, and I think many are put off by the idea of even starting due to cost. Unless they are bound by a contract, I am pretty certain a S3 isn't happening, but then again I thought that for S2
  18. Hehe, I promptly went googling movie quotes in hopes of finding what "imagine you can fly" means, I came across peter pan, but simply don't know enough about the story to affiliate it to any building.
  19. Everyone in the us knows that drinking alcohol or associating with it is far worse than murder and rape. While the rest of the world is baffled. You can blame the American twisted sense of morality for never having Moe or Barney in LEGO form. I don't think even Saudi Arabia has such strong views on alcohol.
  20. I don't care for disney, just hoping they will use normal minifig body parts so we all get something useful out of them, unlike the simpsons.
  21. This is great. I use a simple and universal rule of quality. If a scene involves me to look at it for a long time and admire all it's details, it must be good, and this one certainly did.
  22. Just brushing or blowing is a very short term solution. You either blow the dust with compressed air or you brush it off the surface, and all those dust particles go in the air and land back on your lego. First you need to vacuum the room, keep the floor and all other surfaces clean, then dust off your lego the next day when the dust settles. Every time you walk in the room, close the door or lift your bed sheets you make dust clouds that end up on your lego shelf. Use a make up brush to get the dust loose, and keep a vacuum cleaner nearby to collect it. I use a wire mesh cut out of an old rice strainer over my vacuum cleaner to stop small pieces getting sucked in. Repeat every 1-2 months (unless you live in the desert, then you're hopeless) Even a very soft makeup brush will scratch transparent bricks though, so I simply avoid contact with those.
  23. The exterminator sounds great. maybe make use of welders rubber piece. Would the invisible man be all transparent clear then?
  24. + even though the rumor is from a very trustworthy source, it technically is still a rumor so I wouldn't call it a "reveal" just yet.
  25. While it might not take the place of the modular, it's likely it will steal its release date. Not that I'm complaining.
