Technic General Discussion
Oliver 79 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hey all. Set 42088 is being sold in Lidl this week for £6.99 (in the UK). Just picked up a couple of them. They're quite good little parts packs. -
(MOC) The Red Monster

Thanks. The red parts come from bricklink mainly. I need to start stocking up on other colours though. Red's getting a bit boring for me! -
(MOC) The Red Monster
Oliver 79 replied to Oliver 79's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
There are similarities. Maybe subconsciously it inspired me to build this! Thanks for your comments. -
Good afternoon people. After several mini dark ages, I proudly present my latest creation. The Red Monster! This model came about after trying to get back into Lego via Creator Expert models. Specifically the Ford Mustang and the VW Beetle. I'm usually more into construction machinery, but my last project just couldn't get my creative juices flowing! Anyway, there's not a great deal to say about this model other than I wanted to use the big shocks and have hand of god steering. I'll let the amateur pictures and video do the talking. As always constructive criticism welcome. Thanks for looking!

[PRESS RELEASE] 10265 - Ford Mustang Creator Expert

Does anyone know when the general release for toy shops in the uk will be? -
Yes. You are right about advertising. Sorry, I missed the last discussion. And this attitude is precisely why I rarely post on this forum.

OK. But if the prize is a BuWizz, isn't it a bit limiting to non owners of a BuWizz? Sorry if I'm being negative. It might make sense to have a completion where you could show your MOC BuWizz free, and explain how a BuWizz could make your MOC even better. Don't want to be a party pooper! ? It's all cool either way.....

Hey. Sounds good. Quick question. Does the entry MOC have to include a BuWizz?

Amazing. I love this kind of 'pure' technic build. With all the guts on display. The bodywork is seemingly simple yet very effective. And the inside works a charm. Thank you for showing us this beauty. Let's hope you set a trend for panel free models!

Ha! Sounds like a challenge.... You might be waiting a while. My lego output is around one model a year.

Nice mod. This is one of my favorite sets. And the one that got me out of my dark age. I often make it and re make it.

Thanks all. I think I had more fun making the bike and washing machine than I did the car! I'll be making more functional items in the future.....

Hello all you Lego fiends. Today I'd like to share my latest creation. A 1950's style pickup truck. Complete with junk in the back! This thing has been in the making for a very long time. I build slow....... I'm usually mostly over in the Technic forum. But I have really enjoyed just building with 'system' bricks. Anyway, without anymore rambles, here's the pictures. Thanks for looking. Constructive criticism always welcome. I'm trying to work on my photography too. So if anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear them. Happy bricking!

Nice monster truck. Something like this has been on my 'to do' list for some time. Thanks for the instructions, I might make it this evening! ? -

Lego has taken a bit of a back seat for me. I've only just got back into MOCing after a mini dark age. During the summer I've been out with my rc car and painting new body shells for it (ftx bugsta). I also collect vinyl and do a bit of DJing. -
Yep. I got mine on Amazon for £159. It's on its way as we speak. I looked at the price today and it's gone up already. I'm glad I went for it. I don't think it'll get much cheaper.

@rskamen, I can wholeheartedly recommend building the ball factory. It's the only gbc I've made. I'm no lego expert but the whole process of sourcing parts, building it, sorting the timing, spending hours getting frustrated it doesn't work, etc, etc is brilliant. I don't have it assembled at the moment but I made a yellow version, I'd say go for it and have fun!

Hello. Argos in the UK have got the 42082 for £169. Has anyone seen it cheaper? I would like to buy it, but I'm wondering if the price will come down further. Regards.
