I can second that. I'd say about 1 in 10 balls didn't get picked up by the bucket loader, and they got stuck in the output of the unloader. Some also fell through the gap between the conveyor belt and the main ball hopper. I didn't (couldn't) measure my beads, but they where from a Chinese eBay shop listing them as 14mm.

I've been waiting for this too. It's still not available from bricks and pieces on the lego website though....- 5,506 replies

I have. It works fine. The only small problem is when the beads get picked up and put in the bucket. I guess the beads aren't as uniform in size as the lego balls, so some of them fall out of the axle prongs. Other than that, it works fine. On a side note, I have a love hate relationship with the ball factory. It seems every time I turn it on, it's out of sync. Last night I tried to make a short video, but one of the drive chains kept breaking. It turned out the bucket unloaded was dumping balls into the load shifter mechanism. It took a while to find it was a case of a loose brick underneath. On the other hand, it's the most enjoyable lego model I've ever made!

Servo motor problem
Oliver 79 replied to RPABLOM's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I contacted lego about mine when a similar problem happened. They didn't ask any questions about where it was from. They just sent a new one and asked if I could send the old one back. Gotta love lego customer service! -

Thanks. I shall update the LDD for you sir I also couldn't get the 3L axle into the C.V and U-joint. EDIT. Fixed most of the issues in LDD. there is no grey soft shocks in LDD and I couldn't align the 3L axles for the steering. -

Hello All. Thanks for the positives response. I made an interior last night. Now the big grey cog inside is not such an eyesore! The seat is way too high, but I can't get it any lower. And here is the updated LDD. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/oliveralder/Mini-Monster-1/min_monster_final.lxf Thanks for looking! -

Thanks! I really enjoy making small things. I find it a nice challenge. Thanks. Yeah, The gear is the on my 'To do' List.... -
Hello fellow Technic friends. I would like to show you my newest creation. It all started when I received the Lego speed champions set 75899. I have not had much exposure to the system way of building since I was playing with Lego in the late 80's, and was pleasantly surprised to find it a fun experience. Having stuck to Technic since my return from the Dark age, I am much more interested in the mechanics of Lego sets. With that in mind I wanted to mix the two together. This is my first attempt at what I suppose would be a model team approach to building. I don't know why I like monster trucks so much.... But they have always held a fascination for me. My model has the main Technic functions you would expect from a car, Working 4 wheel steering via HOG. Suspension on all wheels. My main goal was the body work. It is not modeled on any 'real life car' but I wanted to create a nice clean shape. I am pretty happy with the way it turned out and the chassis is a good base for other body 'modding' My next project is to see if I can fit a detailed interior. But fiddly detail is not my strong point! The Technic part of the model is nice and compact with a width of 9 studs (not including the wheels) and a length of 19 studs. There is a lot of half stud offset work that enabled the build to incorporate these steering parts, And I'm pretty happy with the way the suspension and steering worked out, it took me a long time to get it as small as I wanted. If anyone is interested I can upload the LDD file. Thanks for looking. As always, comments and constructive criticism welcome. Here's some pictures... EDIT. Here's the LDD. I hope the link works. http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/oliveralder/Mini-Monster-1/mini_monster-3.lxf

Cleaning LEGO "aggressively"
Oliver 79 replied to miguev's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Lighter fluid might work. I don't know if it would affect abs, but if you leave a little on the residue it'll break it down so you can wipe it off with a soft cloth. It's what I use on viny records too! -
There are a few lego designers who I look up too, and you are one of them. Your models inspire me to build and also teach me many valuable lessons in technical building. This model is beautifully executed. I can't wait to build it for myself.

This is brilliant! I'm just starting to take an interest in GBC models.Great work on the instructions too, I would love to build it. Is there a parts list so I can make a bricklink order? -
I got mine from the same store but on amazon. It was £150 with free delivery. Wonder if I'll get a voucher too....

Technic General Discussion
Oliver 79 replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Hello all, I wonder if anyone has a good online source for blueprints/technical drawings? I'm interested in making construction equipment and am looking for plans to help with proportions etc. So far I have only been able to find brochures from sites that sell machinery such as sennebogen. But these are not detailed enough to show how the machine works. I've looked at 'The blueprints.com' but I'm a bit reluctant to buy the plans without seeing them first. Thanks in advance for any help. -
Hello EB members. I have been lurking round these parts for a while and thought I should share my latest creation. My brief was to work on the aesthetics of my model and not to get bogged down with technical functions. It is not bassed on any real truck. It came right out of my imagination! With this in mind It has limited functions. These are; Front and rear differential. central differential. HOG steering fake V8 engine. opening doors with locks. full suspension So, without unnecessary commentary, I'll let the pictures speak. I apologize for my photography skills. I only have a phone camera and limited photshop skills. unfortunately I am unable to make a video. It would be pretty dull anyway! Thanks for looking. Any constructive criticism welcome.
