  1. Btw, has anyone noticed that the sails on the main mast are on the back of the spars? Should be an easy fix for those who get it though.
  2. 1) Nah ;) And well, the rules will be slightly different next time around anyways... 2) That's not how this works:P But you may send me a message with the shiptypes you need and the price you are willing to pay and your ships may or may not be prioritised in my shipyards... (uncommon shiptypes are always something interesting...)
  3. I'm not building any walls here:P Maybe later then :D We'll see, its all hypothetical... Well, we are the only faction holding public auctions, so I think that's a moot point. Hey, all of the merchant ships in the last auction were sold to non-Eslandolans... And always said that we wouldn't get anyone into trouble for selling the (war)ships they bought in our auctions to anyone (surprised nobody has made use of this)... Currently I'm occupied with refitting my captured prizes (I think I have at least 4 more... I need to check my lists), but anyone interested in obtaining a ship from me may message me at any time; I can't promise quick delivery as I have a bunch of other ships that have been ordered/reserved over the past couple months...
  4. - Well, we haven't captured any mocced vessels this far, and all the vessels I've sold so far (except for the first one nobody but Bregir wanted and still has (I doubt there will ever be a deal like that again)) would've been available to everyone. - Well, the vessels capturing these licenses are typically built by Eslandolan shipyards. This might change temporarily for the next auction (NO Promise here), and we are the only faction with a government auctioning off ships. Argue as you want, in the current situation it makes most sense to have the captured warships remain in a faction where they will be used against our enemy. - Well, there hasn't been an answer to this. Maybe you should've clarified this the first time Maxim asked? Also, don't get mad the next time we accidentally capture a Marderian merchant - you are doing the very same thing (and be it on accident)... Oh, and btw - is it still possible to buy islands and what how much does one have to pay to get one?
  5. @SkaForHire Any news to when we can expect the new MRCA rules and shipclasses? If we'll be running the next MRCA using it already(no idea if that will happen), it might be a good idea to release the rules now so everyone can start making plans, getting estimates for their ships done (even though a couple of them might sink - would still be a good idea) and so on. I think it would, most likely, quite messy if we only have 2 or 3 weeks after the release of the rules until the actual MRCA. Also, any rule to how many unused licenses (captures) a player can hold at a time?
  6. First off - I didn't donate the vessel, I sold it for a fair price. There is no reason to donate a vessel to me. But I would gladly purchase it for any (reasonable) price you give to it. I would guess the vessel would be at least a 4T2, so feel free to base your estimate of a reasonable price on what I had offered for a 5T (if no Oleon officials mind you selling it).
  7. Well, wouldn't matter to me, I'm rich enough anyways.
  8. I'm still in the 1.5 of regular price range, as most of "my" ships are owned by others. I also have licenses for several class 4 and 5 ships ready to use... @blackdeathgr are you trying to offer something higher? I say 650 then.
  9. Licenses are no issue to me:P
  10. @Maxim I there is also the fact that there are stairs right behind these doors leading down. Below deck (at least in that area) is still some headroom left. The same applies to the doors in the stern area.
  11. While I'm not in Oleon, I would offer a nice 500 DB for an already mocced armed Terraman...
  12. Great Weekend! But I would've wished nobody would've started stealing many of my black parts as he forgot his bricks... ;) If anyone is looking for more pictures of the Batavia (and the De Zeven Provincien), I just uploaded some pics on my flickr ;) Here is the Album
  13. Yes, that is one way to solve it! Certainly looking much better than before!
  14. @Ayrlego As you are the one doing most experiments for these - have you tried custom decorations for the bicorns? Would be a another idea...
  15. MAESTRO has started an account and deposited 500 DB with the hope to earn some DB's at some point. Jerome Monezterrell, COO of the Eslandolan Trade Company MAESTRO Edit: Might as well comment about the build - the colourscheme is a great choice, perfect for a bank :D
  16. YAY, stable rigging! You could consider naming it after one of your bigger settlements like it was common in the Royal Navy (several ships named London, Greenwich, Oxford etc). I don't think it has been done before in BOBS and would be interesting for sure. Btw, any reason for that headless Oleander on board?
  17. Looking good so far! Guessing 3T2 or equivalent? Tell me the same thing about the blue shipyards...
  18. The following ships require a letter of Marque:Migery (5HA, ESL)Raging Fire (5HA) Morning Fog (5HA, ESL)Dragon's Revenge (5HA, TitusV)Cardinal (5HA, Legostone) HMS Pendragon (5HA)Purple Reign (5LA, Maxim)Sea Sweeper (4A, Eslandola)Tribute (4A, Legostone)Sleeping Siren II (4A, Capt Wolf) Blessed Angel (4A, Eslandola)Wolf II (3A, Capt Wolf)Great Scott II (3A, Eslandola)Soldier (2A, Maxim)Dark Spirit (2A, Kai NRG)Golden Snake (2WR, Kai NRG)
  19. Great to see another ship builder on board! (although Eslandola could really use some more...) Well, what is there to say about this ship? Great to see a large Frigate (well, this is about as big as they got at the time), especially a good one! Overall, it is a good ship, but there are some small parts that you can see about improving on your next ship. Right now, your stern galleries (good looking ones!) are going quite far out from the hull; this isn't bad, but right now they are the widest part of the ship, which they usually shouldn't be. This could be fixed by going a bit further inwards with the hull towards them, but I would see this as a suggestion for your next ship, as it is a small issue. The biggest one I have with this area is the area above them though - the curved part is good, but it looks very rough, with the exposed studs next to cheeseslopes. You could try using different wedgeplates stacked above each other (keeping the studs) or replace the curved parts with slopes or curved slopes(removing or completely covering them). Or just make the cheese slope usage more consistent in the area (partially covering the studs, easiest solution) - that should already solve it. If you want some quick feedback for your next ship, you may head with pictures of your WIP to the Shipyards Guild Hall - we are always glad to help! (Maybe doublecheck with the other Oleanders if you should do that if it is an even bigger ship ;)) As well as this - I could go and repeat everything positive said by the others about this ship, just read all that into this sentence, as this is a fantastic frigate! Looking forward to the next one!
  20. @Captain Genaro I would suspect the round holes to be covered from the inside while not in use, and if in use they may be rowing ports. Else Bregir may cover them up with flowers :P @Bregir I'll have to see what I can come up with, don't really have a plan yet, but maybe I'll like it enough to share it:P
  21. Great ship, one again, Sebeus! I especially like the way you have implemented the lower stern here - I might have to steal most of that part if I do another prefab... Some other favourite details are (for me) the unicorn horns which you used in a few places and that fantastic skylight - looking great! I do, however, have a couple points of criticism. The quarterdeck is pretty much the same width everywhere - I know you managed to solve that on some of your other ships, here it just seems a bit too wide. As well as that, that upper spar for the gaff sail just doesn't fit the ship - maybe try something similar as you did on the bottom or just tie a string to it like you did on the bottom? And well, maybe one day we can convince you to finally move onto full custom built masts :P
  22. With the current progressions in the war against Mardier, we decided we may need someone to help us out breaking the blockades around our blockaded settlements. We hereby announce that Lord Maximilian Damaximus now carries the rank of Commodore as long as this war lasts to deal with breaking those. Jerome Monezterrell Sec of Navy Eslandola
  23. Thanks! Bigger ship classes have been explained by Maxim and Bregir ;) Thanks! I'm not sure if I prefer this one or the Cardinal, I really like both of em:P :D Let's do that once again;) The two stud wide keel is just sooo much more convenient to use:D As said above, I can't really decide between this one and the Cardinal - and space in the best spot is limited (but this one has been moved to the top of another shelf for the time being:P) Also, everyone who reads this - almost noone I guess - make sure to decide for the best ship here!
  24. Uhhmmm... Might be related to the Challenge :P Thanks! It is indeed a risky move - but I guess if they succeed it is well worth it:P I think I'll remain with my ships (at least mostly:P)
  25. That is one gigantic chicken head at the bow! (I hope that it is supposed to be a chicken :P) This ship may (!) get me to dig out my pair of longboat parts as well and see what I can do with them. Stay tuned!
