Legostone replied to Jacob Nion's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Ohh, finally you post this! I think you had this up on flickr for a while now, I'm certainly looking forward to whatever happens next! I set my bet on Hades and that we'll be seeing a ghostship from you very soon! We'll gladly sink another ship of yours -
Citrus Plantation near Puerto Desafio, Isla de Victoria
Legostone replied to Legostone's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Main focus here was the background - I wanted to try that for a while already Thanks! Didn't even notice that the shadows are once good for something Someone had to include the vulcano - I feel like it has almost been forgotten. Thanks! Same as above- 6 replies

The Search for the lost Captain - Part 1: Preparations
Legostone replied to Legostone's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Yes! Feel free to use them:D Thanks! For the ship you'll probably have to wait another ~2 weeks as I want to finish it before posting the completed one. Thanks! I hope so too! Feel free to steal them Its only gonna carry as many dinghies as I can put together and fit on there sadly, I think more than 4 or maybe 5 will be quite difficult to fit Here is me hoping that I don't have to cancel the next chapter again because of other unexpected actions taking priority (and having to re-setup our home network, which is more difficult than it sounds like...) -
When Captain Mesabi of the WTC called for aid after the tragedy in Nova Malto, and Eslandola responded in record time. This build marks the arrival of our Regiment there, to help with humanitarian issues as well as help finding the reason for the recently blown up ship.

Anywhere else and it'll just fall over Hey, another classic Captain B ship! While I think the bow is very rough and could use some hinges or snotted slopes instead, I think its still a great ship in general. Especially the colourscheme really pops - the azure blue works very very well with the brown, and the curve in the gundeck(s) works quite well too! Lastly I must add my usual compliment for the lanterns - gigantic, a bit too far out but amazingly fitting with this style of ship Better don't loose that silver to the pirates! (Well, I hope for them they don't manage to stay right in front of this beast either - that massive block would crush any ship :D) Looking forward to the next one!

@Phred In the property license form, section 2 (plantation selected) - is it possible that Citris is a typo for Citrus?

Settlement: Puerto Desafio, Isla de Victoria, Eslandola
Legostone replied to Sir Stig's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
In CH5 we won 2 large, 3 medium and 5 small microbuild licenses to be placed in a new Settlement on Isla de Victoria. We have decided to split them up among our participants. 2 Large licences - @Captain Braunsfeld (claimed); @Maxim I 3 Medium licences - @Faladrin(claimed); @Kai NRG(claimed); @Legostone(claimed) 4 Small licences - @Capt Wolf(claimed); @Sir Stig(claimed); @Elostirion(claimed); @Garmadon There was one more small license left - we have decided to hand it out to the one non-Eslandolan who decided to support us in more than a single Category - @Professor Thaum and hope he accepts it. ______________________________ We stumbled over a recently abandoned Citrus plantation in the Jungle and claimed it.- 13 replies

While exploring the area around Puerte Citrus Plantation. We had already been wondering why the Marderians that lived here before rarely ate anything else - now we had our answer. Seeing the usefulness of these fruit, we quickly sent out a crew of workers to keep the plantation running. We'll probably put them to use on our ships, not go on a diet based purely on them though... Medium Plantation, activated as a Challenge Reward via microbuild

Should we just get rid of the "monthly" part in the title, given that it has been up for over half a year by now?

Maxims Quay, Captain Dee's Royal Gardens and Ayrlegos hotels (?, LDD) As well as that - royal properties produce absurd amounts of DB's with no risk attached. The 100x100 limit is currently the minimum size - we are glad to see bigger builds (well, this applies to all sizes of properties). I personally still believe (as someone who has been working on one in the background and owns parts of another one) that these are way too profitable for their price.

A quick note ahead - given time constraints and other things, I can't guarantee that I'll continue this storyline, but I have a couple ideas, so I hope I'll do it. Characters: Jerome Monezterrell - My Sigfig, owner of the Monezterrell shipyards and accountant of MAESTRO as well as Sec. of Navy Farrucio Paraja - Naval Architect; one of the most important people in the Monezterrell shipyards (Captain) Lamar Evercrees - Was the captain of the Cardinal which was taken by the Sea Rats in the battle of the five fleets; rumors say he remains alive, whereabouts unknown Ericc Evercrees - Brother of Lamar Evercrees; excellent Navigator and first mate waiting for a promotion. The following conversation happens in the docks of Fuerte Unido: Jerome Monezterrell - My search crews have found a group of survivers on the beach here, they said the pirates had dropped off groups of 5 on rafts, and they saw your brother on one of them. They had no idea where that was though - they saw the raft floating towards another island, but they had no idea which one as he was dropped of earlier. Given these circumstances, he is probably alive, but we have no idea where exactly. We'll have to send out a crew to search him - maybe we can find more survivors or even hunt down a couple of those pirates. Ericc Evercrees - That is the best message in weeks! Farrucio, how long until this ship is ready to sail so we can go search for 'em? Farrucio Paraja - Given the motivation and speed of our workers, I say we'll be able to leave in about a week. The guncrews on the Eslandolan vessels were very accurate - barely any damage done to the hull, but the rigging on the Logan (Note: the one remaining capture from the battle of the five fleets) was heavily damaged. Ericc Evercrees - better than sinking it for sure! Farrucio Paraja - You also said you wanted more than the two dinghies we currently have on board? Remember that the deck will already be quite crowded... We are also contemplating whether or not we should add the carronades to the quarterdeck and forecastle - it'll cost you some sailing performance and make the upper deck even more crowded. Ericc Evercrees - As many dinghies as possible! Scrap the carronades, given the sheer number of small islands we'll have to check I rather have a dozen dinghies! Can you also hang one from the stern? I remember you doing that before on another ship... Farrucio Paraja - I'll consult with the other shipbuilders, I'll get back to you once I have an answer. Jerome Monezterrell - Ericc, can you, until we find your brother, also take over his Council position? We need to keep the seats in the Council filled. Ericc Evercrees - I hope I won't have to remain in that position for too long; I'm not a man for politics, but I'll be able to manage that position.

The Dragon's Revenge still participated (...and sadly got lost...), but I think you should be able to sistership her if you want to

I also already picked one up, but I'm a bit short on time atm, so go ahead :D

Great tiny ship! I think the first one to use it was @Sebeus I , but feel free to prove me wrong there! I can't find the pic anymore though...

There is no mechanic for losing troops as far as I can remember. You just need to place them elsewhere now. (or disband them)
-
The new big cats from the Jungle theme as well as the new Machetes seem to be useful. Official price is currently 29.99€/39.99$, but it can already be had for 20€. The other ones are sadly only available in much more expensive sets...

I just noticed some odd values in some accounts and went to check where it could be coming from - apparently there is a mess up with columns D and E in the May 2016 summary where all contents are shifted one line up. Causes some accounts to be negative and does some damage to faction coffers. Edit: Comparision April 2016 Edit: Wow, that was a quick fix!

New Ship Classes - The Transition
Legostone replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I'm not saying "add this mechanic", I'm saying "maybe give those capturing a vessel half its base upkeep+some other stuff and explain it with upkeep consisting out of repairs and crew payment" ;) -
New Ship Classes - The Transition
Legostone replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Given that they are transporting home the captured ship I suppose the cargo can still be stored in the captured ship. Considering upkeep is now a thing - it might be another idea to consider upkeep in repairs and crew payment - which could be added to what gets captured with the ship (as in: cargo value + 1/2 upkeep) -
New Ship Classes - The Transition
Legostone replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
I think basically no trade ships were captured in the old MRCA (outside of a couple of Marderian ones) - this could explain that issue :P (I think the last ~5 MRCAs had the majority of merchants at least protected by 2 escorts if not more, basically preventing any attack from succeeding). Most non-warships that were lost in the past couple MRCAs were usually either lost or captured by NPCs. -
New Ship Classes - The Transition
Legostone replied to Kolonialbeamter's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
@Jacob Nion Given that pirates are supposedly splitting their income with their crew, why not give the SR their cheaper upkeep, but with a slightly reduced income from ships (plundering DBs from captured ships, trade runs)? @Bregir I was just playing with numbers - but I think I'm actually going to reduce the average ship size for the ships I control in the long run. class statpoints Range Maneuver Firepower Crew Cargo Hull 3 15 5 4 1 0 4 1 (Btw, wouldn't it be reasonable for everything with a range higher than 1 to have a hull rating equal or higher than 1?)
