  1. The Ninjago ship has a dark brown hull again. I hope that means they become available again...
  2. As I said before - this system for upkeep might be cool (it is for sure!), but it is pretty complicated to implement with a sharesystem. Getting there!
  3. @Jacob Nion I have a google doc here - add some ships and their classes and see the numbers develop. Feel free to enter some testships ;) Edit: @Bregir It is 350 DBs - 2 class 7s.
  4. I think I would rather see higher initial cost and less income, but we'll see how this plays out. Given that I don't redistribute my fleet (which might be a good idea) I'm sitting at ~500 DBs in upkeep if all MY ships are running. @Bregir Btw, for future MRCA - will it be possible to get the MRCA result as a .xls or google sheet? It would make working with small fleets much easier.
  5. Damn, upkeep is pretty crazy with the new system... At least it is only calculated for the active ships.
  6. I won a class 4 of any kind in CH4B, and I was told it was all free, not counting towards limits. Does that still apply? Also, is there free upkeep for the free ship?

  8. Haha, be me, I've lost over the whole time 1 2F, 1 3T2, 1 4A, 1 5F, 1 5T and 1 5HA :(
  9. Monezterrell stood up. Gov. Guilder, if you so desire, I may as well revoke my proposal, as I quite like the ETWCs proposal as well. I'll vote for it, and thus for Captain Whiffo's latest proposal - we may also consider just keeping the suggested Town bank tax in place. I may as well announce it now - we haven't heard anything from Captain LamarEvercrees, so we had to quickly find a temporary replacement for him - welcome Tomvaximus to the round! *Doors open, he steps in* I've heard of Captain Whiffo's proposal while preparing, and I agree! One vote from me! Farrucio Paraja gets up. You really want me to vote for us building Royal Properties with our own recources for Eslandola? I would rather pay some taxes! I won't vote for this absurdity! 2 Yays, 1 Nay for Captain Whiffo's proposal from the MAESTRO bench.
  10. Damn Marderians, you'll regret this writing style! While 4200 DB aren't record breaking, MAESTRO is not complaining about its combined income, considering we are now down to 2 shipbuilding players.
  11. Great Snow! I'm not gonna go on about every little detail, but those pumps look interesting - a closeup maybe? For your question - I couldn't find much, but I've found a model with the sweeps out. They are uncommon, but do exist. I think in the end it would be a decision of personal preference. @kurigan While can't answer your question exactly, I can say some things. There have been many Barque rigged Frigates - so 5th and 6th rates don't necessarily have to be ship rigged. But while I don't trust 3decks 100%, I expected the exact same thing they did - simply not counting the guns not on the quarterdeck of the brig/snow. I would think its simply a thing of prestige of limiting the 6th rates to 3 masted vessels. Another example of not counting all guns could be the supposedly 20/22 gun brig Mercury (or should we trust Russian Wikipedia? It says 18 guns...).
  12. Fantastic! And you were the one who told me at Brickmania Antwerp last year that he can't pose minifigures... This proves the opposite, and has anyone said that those painted hats are fantastic?
  13. Thanks! Thanks! Makes the rigging a bit more difficult than straight masts, but it had to be done for this kind of ship. Well, I do it that way because they should be that low (and if I remember correctly you do the same thing, don't you? ;) The stern is indeed a bit weird (I'm not happy with the brown details on the side either), but I think the plate is quite similar to the original , save on tiny details not replicable without prints or stickers. Great! That is exactly what should happen:D Thanks! Nice comparision :D
  14. I never said that! I'm just saying it is a good non-realistic ship
  15. *Coughs* I oppose the above proposal, and instead hand in my own. I propose a 5% tax on both MRCA income and property income. This doesn't have a nearly as big immediate impact on the buyer of a property or ship - while with the 20% base tax proposal a typical property takes 6 months to pay for itself, with my proposal it only takes a little bit over 5 months. It also gives us a secure income, which I see as much needed, as properties aren't bought all of the time. I do, however, have no complaints against a small tax for FBs and a decent tax for the Town Banks, which tend to collect money anyways. Table form: 5% on income for properties 5% on income for ships 20% on Free Builds 10% on Town Banks I, Jerome Monezterrell vote for my own proposal, and, unless there is no way either proposal takes place, vote against the other one! I,Farrucio Parajo, support the proposal from Senor Monezterrell! *silence* *Jerome Monezterrell begins to talk again* I guess this is as bad of a time as any to tell you this information - I haven't heard anything from him since he went out on the Cardinal to free ourharbours from the Marderian Scum. We don't have a confirmation what happened to him just yet, but we suspect he went down without his ship. As bad of a time this is, we are working on a solution internally. For now, this vote will remain uncast. 2 votes Governor Guilders proposal: nay 2 votes Senor Monezterrell proposal: yay 1 vote waiting for replacement; will be cast later
  16. Just doublechecking this - I currently have the following ships licensed: Santiago (5T) Wringe II (2F) Reventazon (4T2), from CH4 (?), so it isn't supposed to count towards ship limits as far as I remember. I think I messed up while sistershipping the Cardinal and checked "4-6", which I think was wrong. Could that be corrected if I was wrong?
  17. First mod - I haven't looked too much at the original, but I do think the masts look much better on your version. The second mod is much more interesting - it reminds me a bit of the Sea Cow - basically a giant, short ship - not realistic in any way (Except if you see this as realistic: ), but great looking - good mod!
  18. Any update on this one? I would like it, could make some stuff interesting. Btw, anyone here who can beat me at 6 vessels with an average value of 300 DB lost?
  19. I must have messed up, I thought this was in this forum at the time of licensing. Just use the link for the Cardinal as I added it there.
  20. Ay, it has been a while since you have heard anything from my shipyards. We are currently quite occupied with the war, so priorities are there. A couple months ago, a young man stepped up to me and told me he had an idea how we could get the best performance from a Schooner - we spent a couple of weeks planning and built this ship quickly. His promise applied - the ship we build ended up faster than any other ship I had seen before. To save weight, we will, most of the time, not carry guns on it, but if the need arises we have enough space to place 10 6 pounders on the deck. As we don't need to carry munition and gunpowder we have plenty of cargo space on board of this ship. As this speed is unprecedented, we also decided that we may give this ship type its own name - it shall be a Clipper! Time for pictures? Yes: Roughly based on the Pride of Baltimore, a Baltimore Clipper. Size is pretty much like my other 5Fs (Green Winds, Colour of the Wind, Piece of Eight), so for now this will be licensed as a 5F. I hope we can get faster ships with the new system once it arrives...
  21. With the new system for taxation and the removal of half the license cost going to the faction, do we pay the same price as before or the half the price as before? And, following this, do the Sea Rats still get a lower price for their ships?
  22. With the new MRCA supposedly "right around the corner", is there any reason to license ships right now or should we wait until the new rules are announced? @SkaForHire Also, when can we expect the MRCA results for the current one? I need to know how my other ships are doing...
  23. Just imagine if the Eslandolan Anti-Mardier fleet would have insured their warships with you:P (It would have been good for us though:D)
  24. For the vessels - thanks, but don't be too fast; the Xebec actually has one of my least favorite hulls as of lately, you'll see why further down. I guess I managed to hide it well with the water :D I was told to rework my waves by @Captain Green Hair before, I just didn't find the time before the deadline came around, so I had to leave them as they were, but I think they are still alright. Will keep your criticism in mind for the next time I'll be building waves (which might be a while until then...) So, now the requested pictures of the vessels, starting with the Dhow (Felucca if you want...): Again, the technique for it is by @Kolonialbeamter, but I think mine is still a bit different from his construction. Now, onto the Xebec: As I said further up, I think the hull is below the average compared to most of my other latest ships, but I guess I managed to hide the flaws quite well with the waves:D Maybe (just maybe) I'll eventually decide that I want another Xebec and recycle those sails then. Luckily it doesn't use many uncommon parts (besides dk tan for the deck), so I think I should be able to leave it assembled for some time at least.
