Very nice. Looks like the driller is the star of the show instead of the Tardis. But I do like the driller, very lever, good parts usage. Andy D

Very nice! The docking ring is great, even a ship (the Deffiant?) docked there. Both photos really show it off, the natural light photo to show how the station and the ships are suspended and the black for a space look, hiding be supports.. Must have been a real balancing act to get the station balanced. Let's see, what was it called when the Cardassians occupied it? Andy D

I think you are right! This is definately the building my village needs! Good luck with the contest! Andy D Edit: Just noticed the coffee machine! Great! I may have to "borrow" that. For a coffee shop I plan to build.

Thanks for adding this link. I don't do Facebook and since i spend most of my EB time on an iPad I don't do flash either. So the link is much appreciated. Well, the video didn't make me want it any more than I already did. Well maybe a little more ;) my interest in this was already pretty high! Sign me up for at least 2! Maybe more depending on ideas in MODs to the set. I like to build 1 as is and have others to MOD. Getting my credit card warmed up already! Andy D

In general I like the Friends sets. I believe they fill a niche. I am not a fan of the particular sets (not a fan of open back sets) but I do like the colors which I believe can be very useful. I don't have any yet, but I am sure I will get some, just for the parts. As for the dolls (err Friends mini figs) I don't find use for them in my projects, but I can see the attraction by some people/groups, and that is good! Anything that keeps LEGO profitable is a good thing. Andy D

How to enter and display set "Condition" in Brickset
Andy D replied to Andy D's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Looks like that is what I may have to do. I was hoping to avoid signing up on nother forum that I will most likley use for 1 post. Thanks, Andy D -
Another teriffic micro modular! You seem to doing a new one everytime I turn around. Keep up the great work. Andy D

Thanks for the replies. I guess I was hoping for more C&C on how to improve the building. The building seems rather basic to me. I will look to other modulars (what I am attempting here) for inspiration and improvements. Thanks to the repliers. Andy D

I have been playing with and at organizing off and on for 6-9 months. I finally came to the conclusion that organizing by type/function then by color, if there are lots of pieces of one color they get their own tub. This seems to work best for me for now. For storage I am trying a combination of Gadware entree size tubs (in bulk from Amazon for about 80 cents per tub), large and small plastic freezer bags and large plastic bins (to store the bagged pieces). OK, OK, I finally got around to entering "most" of my sets into Brickset. I noticed under the ACM (Advanced Collection Manager) that I can somehow record and display the condition of my sets. I can't seem to find out how to do this. I have sets that are assembled, sets that are disassembled sets used for MOCs and sets still in the box. How do I record this in Brickset? Thanks, Andy D

OK, OK I did it! Andy D

Wow! This is really ambitious! I don't even have my sets listed on Brickset, too much work. I am just trying to get my inventory organized in such a way that I can find pieces without too much searching. But I do realize tht we all have different things we are willing to or want to do in respect to our mutual hobby of LEGO. Andy D

So... Just why did I build this? It all started because we were going on a 14 day New Year’s cruise to Hawaii with 10 at sea days, just at sea, no land, just the ship... What was I going to do? I immediately thought of LEGO! I have been wanting to build a MOD of the Grand Emporium to make a 16 wide, hmmm... sounds possible, but what else is in my closet waiting to be built? I looked and saw several Prince of Persia sets and I really liked the colors, so maybe something based on the colors, those dark tans, light tans, white and gold. Great colors, so maybe I want to do something with those colors. Where to start? I looked up MODs of the 7573 and found this mosque http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=47068 using 2 7573’s and I really liked the modularity, colors and the fact that it was a 16x16. I also found this MOC Modular: PoP Hangout at: http://www.flickr.co...hoto_4929709781 and I thought about what I liked about the 10190 Market Street. I decided to make a building according to the Modular Specifications, a 16x16 with an open air market area like the Market street. I ordered another 7573 (for parts) and started to pack. In the end I packed baggies of parts from 2 7573 (Battle of Alamut) and 1 7571 (Fight for the Dagger). I figured this would be enough parts as I was going to be in the middle of the Pacific Ocean without access to my inventory, so that was all the parts I was going to have. Fortunately we were driving to the port, so weight was not an issue with luggage, and being on a cruise space was not as much an issue as a flight to somewhere. I first decided to build the Battle of Alamut just to see what it looked like and get an idea on how some of the parts were used in case it would be of some help to me. So on my first “at sea” day I assembled the Battle of Alamut (no photos, we all know what it looks like. I then disassembled sorted all the pieces from all the sets into large food storage bags and claimed 2 of the 3 drawers in the desk for my LEGO project. The building is a “free build” no LDD, just from my head to brick. We know how that goes... You get an idea, put it together, take it apart and put it back together again several times until you get what you wanted. In order to take photos and avoid a bunch of reflections I had to use a couple of bed pillows as background. Here is the result... We carefully packed each floor in a separate large plastic bag with lots of padding (socks and whatnot) to try to minimize damage, and just in case, at least each floor would be in a separate bag so I could identify parts for each floor more easily. I can’t decide if I should keep to my original challenge and only use the parts from the sets I took with me, or maybe use additional parts as well... This is my third MOC, and the first I have published on EuroBricks in this detail, so C&C are welcome any ideas are appreciated. If you want to see more at my Flickr http://www.flickr.co...s/74992335@N05/ Here is my stream. Thanks, Andy D

I assume that in addition to this being a modular that it is also a stackable. Do you have any photos of the different modules. I know this is a long time ago nd it may not exit anymore. I often think of building a modular - stackable with attributes like this. Andy D

Great build! I really. Like the seashore, the rocks and the color texture of he water. Very beliveable. Also. Looks like a nice place to relax and listen o the crashing of the wave on the craggy rock shore. Your builds never fail to please. Also, kduos on yhe addition of he powr functions. Andy D

This is a very nice Old West building. The addition of the out building is great for a completion of the scene. Andy D

Thanks for sharing the lxf file, now all I have to do is get time to do it in bricks. I hope to see your version of it in bricks soon. Keep up the great design and great work. Andy D

I really like this. I do think a second floor, even just for storage would add quite a bit to it. I aso like your idea about a removable scond floor to give more visibility to the first floor. Andy D

Ireally like this. I also agree that the WV needs a pub. Good luck with the contest. Andy D

I like it! The hands are great, but asothers have said, try to repoition the hand covering the Mad scientist and add a faceover the top, perhaps just a nose and eyes like the old "Killroy was here" graffiti. Andy D

This is just fantastic! I don't know where too start, the size, the details like the stained glass the cross, or where. Too much to take in in one look. I'll be back. Andy D

There is lot to like about this entry. As mentioned the innovative use of parts and the moose. I also like the tree and Santa's sleigh. Do those rockets provide the required 8 (or 9 including Rudolph) reindeer power? Good luck in the contest! Andy D

Very nice! Looking forward to the next installment. Good luck to all "Down under"! Praying for a rapid resolution. Andy D
