This product looks very interesting. I found Sariel's review very helpful as far as the capabilities of your system. However I am having a difficult time understanding your project page, I went to your Project page and I can't tell what is included and what is a price in US$, and what is included. I am sure it is my misunderstanding, but if you have some time for clarifications it would be much appreciated. I hope your project succeeds because of the technology and I like to see startup's succeed. Thanks, Andy D

I thought this was a topic about our working places, so I find it hard to believe a discussion about furniture in our LEGO workspace as off topic. ;) ;) This whole discussion has made me think that I could improve my LEGO workspace with the addition of a "Danish Modern" style guest chair. Thanks for the idea! Andy D

Lego separation - going micro - help please
Andy D replied to BrickOn's topic in General LEGO Discussion
When I think if Micro builds, the parts I consider are 1x's,but the 2x' are also helpful, also small plates. My idea for a box of parts for Micro builds would be: Bricks 1x1's 1x2's 1x3's 1x4's 2x2's 2x3's 2x4's Plates 1x1's 1x2's 1x3's 1x4's 2x2's 2x3's 2x4's 4x4's 8x8's Cheese Slopes 1x3 slopes 2x3 slopes Grab as many of these in a variety pack as will fit I your box and go from there. Thanks for the review! This set looks great and I plan to get it (maybe 2). When will this set be available in the USA? Andy D

Very nice Barman. I plan to build this to learn different steering principles. This is what I love about this forum... So many people sharing techniques so we can all learn and advance the "State of the Art" of LEGO. Andy D -
What should or should not be on Lego Ideas?
Andy D replied to Wodanis's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You are correct. People who join just to post a beg for support an Ideas project probably would not use the [iDEAS] tag anyway. My pet peeve with Ideas project IS the people who join and their first or second post is just to try to get support for their Ideas project. It is because of the people who post like that, that I just ignore all Ideas projects. Just MHO, YMMV Andy D -

What should or should not be on Lego Ideas?
Andy D replied to Wodanis's topic in General LEGO Discussion
For me it is not a matter of what should and should not be on Ideas. It is a matter of people who join Eurobricks and their first or second post is a .... Hey, please support my ideas project. We have tags for [MOC], [WIP] and [HELP] among others, why not a tag for Ideas [iDEAS]? Many of these folks who post first or second post for an Ideas project, I just "click away from" the post as soon as I discover it. The [iDEAS] tag would make things easier to skip. Just MHO, YMMV, Andy D -
How about shooting during the "Golden Hour" (1 after sunrise or 1 hour before sunset). Yep, I know many photography terms, now I just need to learn how to apply them. A photographer I am not, but I a trying to learn. I need to find some good backdrop paper (or maybe fabric). Andy D

@Zblj ... That looks like a great solution for a major sort project. I find it handy, in fact necessary to have lots of organized space for a sort project. Sometimes I have to sort in stages. I first do a rough sort to get like items together, then do a fine sort for each category to prepare to put away. Sometimes I think is spend more time sorting and organizing than I do building. Hence my feeling that the LEGO hobby is more about sorting and organizing and storing than building. Buy, hey, it's all part of the hobby! Just MHO, YMMV Andy D

Thanks Jim and dr_spock... I hadn't thought about the blinds, in fact I was thinking the window might provide backlight, but I can see where it could cause stripes. I wil also experiment with bouncing light off the ceiling. I guess I should also turn off overhead and other incandescent lights as well. Thanks again, off to order, Andy D

Thanks Jim... For $50 it might be worth the risk. They seem to be pretty well reviewed. I guess I should be able to get better results tha I do now. Andy D

I have been looking again (still) and I found these Umbrella Lights and stands on Amazon I am wondering if anyone here uses umbrella lights and how well they work. It appears that they should be easier to setup and store than soft boxes. I believe I could use this area of my work area for a photography area by just moving some things around and add a temporary back drop of some kind. Believe me, my space is not always neat. During a build, or a major sort project my desk an counter look like an earthquake hit. But I make it a habit to get it neat between projects so I have a clean, neat and organized area to work in. I find starting with a neat workspace makes it easier to see what I am doing. That is one of the advantages of a separate room, I can just close door the for when it is messy, but I (and especially my wife) like to keep the room neat between projects. Andy D
