Redesigning for available (within a price point) pieces is always an issue when using rarer colours. In this case, the final product still looks good and appears to accomplish what you want it to. Maybe build 1 in the Wascosa livery, then do the others in the red DB Cargo option?

MOC: Shell tanker wagon (7813 remake)
Feuer Zug replied to Brickviller V2's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Your reimaging of 7813 is perfect. Well done. -
The 4 stud extension really makes the wagon work now. The lettering is distinct and it will still feel proper in a City style layout.

The hauler is a unique design for sure. Love the inclusion of the magnetic coupler for the pod. The supports on the tower are cool. That's my favorite part of your design.

This is a good looking cottage. It would fit well with the Blacksmith shop. The first floor does seem a bit barren compared to the details on the ground floor.

Thank you. I found they work better than anything else when building a larger control tower. Danke. The scale matches with the aircraft that can fit minifigs. My other ones aren't the proper scale, but could be used for forced perspective potentially.

The lettering is well done. The design works well too. Like @Trekkie99, the wagons do have a distorted look to them. I might go from 24 studs long to 28, but if they are sized for the rest of your rolling stock, then all is good.

Two locomotives inspired by the classic 4564 set
Feuer Zug replied to robertreimus's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Nice pair of shunters. I can seem them working a yard anywhere on the Continent. -
I like the classic car you created. Interesting technique going from 2, to 3, then to 4-wide with the bonnet. The foul expression and dalmatian, coupled with the car almost makes me think he's a competitor to Cruella DeVille.

The group I was with mostly still embraced LEGO through our teens. We'd still build MOC spaceships and the like. Yes, we were the nerdy computer geeks that ran the lab and played all sorts of "questionable" games over the LAN. Nobody cared enough to tell us we were uncool for playing with LEGO. We got enough of that for other reasons.

The airport control tower is a major landmark at larger airports. Designed so the controllers can see everything on the airfield, it usually is the tallest building around. The main controller area is fairly small, befitting a regional airport. This tower is designed to be semi-modular. The tower is smaller in size vertically, but could easily be expanded with a base extension. Or, it could be connected to the roof of an existing building and gain height that way. The red and white stripe feature could easily be replaced with a more modern design. The current design is a homage to the Ford Island, Hawaii tower. Glass surrounds the main level, allowing unrestricted visibility to the controllers. An external walk around area is also accessible for the controllers. The controllers have all the requirements to run airport operations. Radar screens, computer terminals, binoculars, light gun, and recording systems are all included.

Nicely done. It fits into the street scene and offers the ability to expand vertically if more flats are needed. Sometimes empty isn't bad either. Blank canvas for the next tenant.

Sweet ride. Solid build with most of the feel of SP III there. The windscreen color looks fine too.

Quite the scene. The use of the ancient body pieces is cool. NPU with the plants as well.

Stunning build. The figure is perfect and the scenery is gorgeous. Even the lady dipping her toe is detailed with the ripples.
-
Superb work. The angles on the real Corvette C4 work great in LEGO form and you captured them perfectly.

Good looking build. I like the hinged wall with the offerings. Working his "side" business right next to the constabulary is cheeky.

Interesting concepts. The Bat Lord appeared to be more a large buildable figure at first. Great design. The spider and warhorse are solid builds. The fighter mecha is just funny. Nicely done all around.

Nicely done. It looks good for the size and ability to work on R40s. The functionality aspect adds to the impressiveness.

MOCs: Models of trains running in Hungary
Feuer Zug replied to Ashi Valkoinen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
Incredible display. Lots of details and fun. All the lighting, including the banshee, really adds to it. Nice to hear your ladyfriend is involved as well. -
Great classic car. Nice work merging the 4-wide bonnet with 5-wide cockpit. Love the grille work. The bottom picture makes me think of a gangster while the top one has a more partisan rebellion feel.

Big, powerful mecha for squashing bugs. Nailed the color scheme too.

Impressive. Those green windscreens work perfectly. Good amount of greebling without going overboard.

Well done. The scenery fits well and the water looks great.
