MOCs: Models of trains running in Hungary
Feuer Zug replied to Ashi Valkoinen's topic in LEGO Train Tech
That's a huge setup. And you're wiring it for lights and motorization! I can't wait to see this in it's full build. -
TRAIN TECH Help, General Questions & Talk to the Staff
Feuer Zug replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Train Tech
The IR system has some leeway. You can bounce the signal like a television remote. It does work better with the sensor dome completely exposed, but a single layer of plates covering it isn't going to ruin it. You are correct about the top of the tracks as the safe to build level. Depending, you can get away with studs at that height, but tiles are safer. Track clearances can be tight depending. Sticking with regular 6-wide LEGO carriages without lengthening them, you should be fine. If you increase the length or width dimensions, curves can be interesting. Run tests.- 578 replies

Stealthy and swooshable. What a combo!

Sweet mech. It definitely has the Battletech styling. It's got serious firepower. Can it cool them?

[MOC] - 1/1200 scale WPRN Sovetsky Soyuz (Project 23)
Feuer Zug replied to Max_Lego's topic in The Military Section
Well built. For the small scale, you managed to pack in a lot of punch. NPU with the primary and secondary weapons. Even the transition from SNOT to various inverted or not pieces it quite interesting. -
Great build. Lots of work on the small details. Thanks for the in-depth explanations.

Good design at the scale. Quite the NPU with the container doors for the top of the cockpit.

Oooh, chemistry. These are great. I've never had the opportunity to play in such a well equipped lab, but have seen them and they are spot on.
-
Quite the build. It's a compact layout, but no space is wasted. Well done. Do the buildings have interiors?
-
Nicely done. Plenty of details, and you made it open to be a playable set too. Also, such a different view without all the tourists.
-
IMPRESSIVE! The exterior alone is quite the build. Having a full interior takes this to 11! All the little things are covered and the details are amazing.

Good work on these ALCo units. The nose looks pretty good either way.

[MOD] Land Rover Classic Defender (set 40650) in 2017 jungle style
Feuer Zug replied to The Reader's topic in LEGO Town
This clicks on a number of levels. First, it matches the boxy look of the Defender. Second, the colors fit the theme. Well done. -
Latest creation is the F-111. The wings swing and are coordinated. The General Dynamics F-111 Aardvark is a retired supersonic, medium-range, multirole combat aircraft. It pioneered variable-sweep wings, afterburning turbofan engines, and automated terrain-following radar for low-level, high-speed flight. General characteristics Crew: 2 Powerplant: 2 × Pratt & Whitney TF30-P-100 afterburning turbofan engines, 17,900 lbf (80 kN) thrust each dry, 25,100 lbf (112 kN) with afterburner Maximum speed: 1,434 kn (1,650 mph, 2,656 km/h) at altitude Mach 2.5 Range: 3,210 nmi (3,690 mi, 5,940 km) Guns: 1× 20 mm (0.787 in) M61A1 Vulcan 6-barreled Gatling cannon in weapons bay (seldom fitted) Hardpoints: 9 in total (8× under-wing, 1× under-fuselage between engines) plus 2 attach points in weapons bay with a capacity of 31,500 lb (14,300 kg) The "Dump and burn" is included as well. The Aussies loved showing this off. Information sourced from Wikipedia

[MOC] - Lavochkin's La-15 Fantail (1/32 scale)
Feuer Zug replied to Max_Lego's topic in The Military Section
Nothing wrong with your solution to the wing fences. The flexible tubes do give a good impression of them. But I'm thinking of other ways to do wing fences. With the angled wings, I'm drawing a blank. You can't even put tiles on their sides with your wing design. It's a good way of creating them. -
Life happens. Take care of the real world first. We'll still be around.

Astonishing locomotive. The attention to detail here is phenomenal.

Interesting design. Kind of a jellyfish grafted on some thrusters.

Looks good. Not a well known aircraft, but you did will getting the feel for it. And now I'm thinking about wing fences too. -
Another brilliant scene. The dense foliage and the dark palette give it a sinister feel.
