My plan is to build your Minas Tirith as well. Already got few hundreds bricks and some custom Gondor soldiers. So thanks for the LDD! :)

I think it has been said already couple of times in many topics. They don't need to take "us" seriously. Unfortunately we are only a small part of their customer pool. :)

Lothlorien and Minas Tirith got 10k votes yet we won't get any more LOTR sets.

Wasn't this posted already and then moved to Pirates forum?

Just for clarification first two rows (so 1/4 of that collection) were funded by fans and after the video was done minifigs were sent to them. Even the remaining part is still huge anyway. :)

Looks great just needs bit more figures to complete it. :)

The same kids that would care about whether Gondor was a weak nation or not. :D
-
Sure because prologue of LOTR didn't capture thousands years of history in 4 minutes in epic intro. Sorry at least i tried to be realistic, nobody will make/watch 5 movies or TV series of something that will begin with 1st episode being world creation through singing. (don`t get me wrong i love Silmarillion).
-
Don't think Silmarillion is a good movie material (besides the fact that Christopher Tolkien said he won't give rights of it to Jackson...on the other hand he is already 91 years old). Children of Hurin would be much better choice imho.
-
You still can, at least some of them. For the others i would assume: lower sales = less minifugures available overall = proportionally less minifigures for resell = driving the prices of most wanted high.
-
Thanks, i actually like them the most from my collection. :) As per the orcs all weapons are from Lego, just some of the helmets/shields/armors are custom.

The torsos for Gondor are available. I already bought a few myself. :) 30 soldiers is already quite a big army. ;)

I would like to see that. :) Thanks!

Just found out that Rakrondewl published LDD files to his LOTR Lego Ideas creations if anybody is interested: http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/gallery/eb963081-87f1-4b55-9d37-846e7325061a?index=2 I am actually thinking about building the Minas Tirith one.

If you plan to use all these minifigs that has to be a really big Helm's Deep. :)

Just checked his bricklink shop again and looks like i was wrong. Updated version + Isildur's & Elendil's helmets are now available in limited quantities.
-
Isildur & Elendil helmets remained prototypes only. I bought +-15 of the Gordon helmets so if he doesn't offer them anymore they are sold out.

My reaction to what this theme has materialized in.

Impressive, i like your version of Minas Morgul. Would love to have set like this therefore supported. :)

Which is Your Favorite Orc Minifigure from the LotR/Hobbit?
sahidko replied to Deathleech's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
For me definitely Uruk-Hai. Since i collect Middle Earth sets only i don't mind the fact it's hard to use them in MOC. I would put Moria Orcs as close second place. I really like the green color.- 23 replies
