    Well if i read it correctly the platform itself sits on a base 8 studs high (to allow boarding the train). That's going to take some pieces. Plus the train that needs platform that high won't be small either.

    Well i just finished building The Ministry of Magic set and even though it looks nice and minifigs are great this is the most "facade only" building from LEGO i have ever put together. There is basically no place to put the figs besides the chairs and even some of those can't be utilized properly because how cramped the space is. Pretty disappointing to be honest.

    Same here regarding whole sets, waiting for the prices to drop a little but more though.

    Looks pretty good, presonally don't like it just a facade and not closed castle but hey you can't have it all right.

    Silmarillion MOCs are always a nice surprise. Good job on this one. Since this is part 2, are we going to see Glaurung later? :)

    Well that means I just continue buying the ridiculously expensive LOTR figures and sets from bricklink i guess. :D

    For me the collapsing function works, not sure what you did to secure it from the bottom. It should rest on the technic axle only and collapse when pulled.

    For me personally that means the same. :) But i understand that those sets are not made for me.

    Not every other blockbuster trailer is based on something as big as Tolkien is in the fantasy world. And given Amazon trackrecord with Wheel of Time i believe part of the backlash is caused by the fact that for many people the trailer confirms that they can expect similar treatment for The Rings of Power. So the negativity is partially about the trailer and partially about what it probably represents for the whole series. Bit far stretched but that's my view on this. Anyway i just hope if they do any LEGO sets based on the series that they will do also some sets for the original trilogy. That's the only thing i care about.

    The fact that everybody else does it too doesn't make it better. :) My hopes are very low considering what they did to Wheel of Time for which they also had much more source material to work with.

    Wouldn't the sets come out before the show though? I thought the original sets came out before each of the 3 Hobbit movies. Edit: 1st wave 27th of November vs. Unexpected Journey released internationally 12th of December (premiere 28th of November) 2nd wave 2nd of December vs. Desolation of Smaug released internationally 11th of December (premiere 2nd of December) 3rd wave 18th of October vs. Battle of five armies released internationally 11th of December (premiere 1st of December)

    Man I hoped so much that you are hinting LOTR/Middle Earth return :D ... Well if this is true i am happy for others but this does nothing for me.

    Soo LEGO finally decides there is enough potential demand for another Castle theme but for whatever reason they think it's in the minidoll space? How? :D

    Actually looking at it, it appears that the 2nd review results have not been announced yet so that's probably the reason it's still in review. For some reason i thought it was part of the first 2021 batch.

    Makes me wonder whether the potential return of this theme is the reason why the last Minas Tirith LEGO Ideas project hasn't been rejected yet but it's still in review.

    I understand that we got some Pirates sets recently but still reading through the 5 page made me kind of sad with the lack of love for Imperials. Anyway, interesting idea, weird picks and groupings from Lego, let's see what comes out of it. :)

    Just reading book about Roman military history so timing of this post was great. Really like all the minifigs, may put some of them together myself. Great work!

    Yes they are. Well after few hours they pretty much recovered. Had them in the rolled stage for just few days, may be worse the longer you keep them like that. :)

    I thought i will keep the bay longer but today i trasformed it to the ship as well. Actuall quite happy that i did, the folded/rolled sails from the bay looked pretty sad compared to the fresh one's used to finish the ship.

    Great set, just ordered mine from Bricklink to finish my Islanders collection. Looking forward to build it!

    I bought mine 3 years ago but i have the same feeling. :D The best we can hope for is that there won't be any duplicate shops and it would fit together but that's not really realistic isn't it...
