  1. The only problem is that Christopher Tolkien is not a big fan of Jackson's adaptions so he is not going to sell rights to Silmarilion. What will the rest of the family do after he dies is a question.
  2. From lego perspective - even more disappointed that we didnt get a Iron Hill Dwarf figure...
  3. Completely agree, without people coming and saying this thread is dead or useless it would (if unpinned) follow the life cycle of any other thread...
  4. Category A: #4 #2 Category B: #3 #4 Category C: #6 #1
  5. For me personally i didnt like that scene at all and neither the barrel escape one. I understand that going from two to three movies forced them to make up more action and some climax for the second part, it just didnt work for me. Not to mention Tauriel and Kili...
  6. Balrog is a Maiar as well. At least he used to be.
  7. I cant believe how you can argue about something like this, using movies based on fantasy books as facts and then even feel offended when somebody feels otherwise. :D
  8. Looks really good! I would prefer the wall to be a bit higher and also more work on the gate. But anyway great job.
  9. Lonely Mountain finally...Smaug is absolutely amazing, cant believe how big they made him.
  10. Guys your links to picture won't help. :) To Mr. Breden description i would just add that the scale of trebuchets is bit off --> the one standing on first level is higher than the wall itself.
  11. It's done - Minas Tirith has reached 10.000 supporters on Lego ideas. Can't believe how quicked it happened.
  12. I dont understand this either. We have so many holes in the line but one of the top wishes for many is another ent just because the one in Orthanc is not officially called Treebeard.
  13. Depends, if it is really the only one set you miss i would probably buy it if you like it at least a little bit. I personally skipped it together with DGB and BOFA sets and just BL the figures.
  14. Update: Elven armies during Battle of Dagorlad Gil Galad and Elrond leading Elves from Lindon Oropher's son Thranduil leading part of the army from Greenwood the Great
  15. That is not mine picture. As i said i dont own the big set. Nah i am good. I have always been bigger LOTR than Hobbit fan so i am fine with just minifigs from these sets so my dwarf company is complete. :)
  16. Unfortunalely i dont agree. For example looking at this photo it just doesnt look good together to me. Grey wall, and? personally even the WKB doesnt look like is from the same series....
  17. I skipped on both big sets from Hobbit line (GKB and DGB) but i bought the minifigs from bricklink. At least i have two Gandalfs less than most of you. :D And i am going to pass on BOFA as well.
  18. As Christopher Tolkien is currently the only owner of Silmarilion license the chance is zero at the moment.
  19. Looks nice! If buying this as a set i would probably like to see Frodo or Sam or Gollum (if not all three of them) included. But anyway good job.
  20. 5 more Elronds to enlarge my 2nd age elven army.
  21. Thanks, agree that it is sometimes a fight to remove these helmets. Fortunately i don't do that very often so not that big of a problem for me. Actually i like the shape, of course i would prefer something more similar to the helmets used in the movie but well i can't have everything. :) It's custom - http://www.brickforge.com/store/product.php?productid=18497&cat=601&page=1
  22. Looks very good, one small thing i am missing though: Gandalf is the only one holding something in his hands - more weapons or shields would improve the scene imho.
  23. Very very nice, only bad thing is that now i am going to miss Lego LOTR even more. Hopefully the guy from other forum will make those custom gondor helmets at least.
  24. How low do you think the price for the new Elrond minifig will drop? Really want to build some armored elven army but the prices still look too high.
