I agree with Alcarin that if the sales had been bad it's primarily fault of LEGO. Because whether you design for kids or AFOLs you should use the most famous characters and locations and not somebody from extended edition of one of three movies, period..(don't get me wrong, i like Mouth of Sauron as a minifig, but why he was picked instead of some significantly more important characters will always remain mystery to me).

I know, it was the highest price i have ever paid for minifig. But since it looks like Lego is done with LOTR i decided to finish my collection despite the prices.

The ballista might be a clever build but its size makes rest of the set look funny. And without ballista BoFA is a below average set for me.

Yeah definitely looks better without the sword and shield. Anyway good work i like it. :)

Actually it's just one HD and one UHA. Everything else is from either BL or ebay. Fortunately most of them i bought when they weren't that expensive as nowadays but it still required much more money and orders than i planned at the beginning. :) Thank you. :) I had been thinking about it for a long time since i bought HD which was sometime in 2013. I have to admit it wasn't cheap so if there was any chance for third wave of LOTR i would probably have saved the money for that. PS: i have some more Rohan soldiers and Uruks here: http://www.eurobrick...75#entry1970383 I wanted to combine these two scenes but later chose not to. Now i have to decide what to do with it.

Built by trial and error method. :D I have to disappoint you but the walkway isn't there. Same as for the walkway in front of the gate i couldn't make it work and it just didn't feel right. Currently i have only normal straight stairs in place. As for the entrance, i was thinking about it but unfortunately there isn't enough space between the tower and the inner courtyard. Just to clarify, my main goal has never been a 100% accuracy as my building skills are not on the level needed. :)

Hello guys, I would like to share few picture of the current stage of my Helm's deep. It's still missing the rock formation on the left and also the amount of Uruks isn't sufficient yet. Thanks for the review...I will probably buy this set in the end but most likely as the last one. I still dont like the ballista and also the translucent axe (both the red one in this set and the green one in The Lonely Mountain).

Thanks for advices. I will probably just BL all the exclusive minifigs in the end. Anyway Attack of the wargs arrived and i have to say a like this set. The tree could have been bigger so you could put more dwarfs on it but to get two wargs with different color is quite cool.

I ordered Attack of the Wargs recently. Still thinking whether to buy Goblin King Battle and Dol Guldur Battle to complete the collection.

WOW Smaug is really gigantic, i still dont like $130 pricepoint but now it is at least little bit more understandable.
