Unfortunately you're right - I guess my dimensions aren't getting any smaller -
[MOC] CLAAS LEXION 760
MajklSpajkl replied to eric trax's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Nothing but good intentions ;-) I think the diameter would be ok, but width would be to small - this is just an opinion, I haven't checked the actual dimensions of tires, but I believe Mr. Trax found PP tires most suitable. -
[MOC] CLAAS LEXION 760

To small my friend - the front axle uses power puller tires An undisputed masterpiece, although I must admit I like the Jaguar better, as a machine itself that is. Both creations are out of this world! -
Nice job, but you really should add at least one photo where the whole truck can be seen.

@MIlan: You mean without panels I like it as well. Nice representation of that GMC's van bulkyness. -

Is there really 138 cm of tubing in there??? You sure packed it well. Amazing functionality for such a small scale. Well done. @jorgeopesi: I wanna build it for me -

As I already said, I find this one really cool looking. The only thing I see missing is HOG steering. It seems a bit awkward to reach the steering wheel. -

That's very original MOC. Good idea on the weighing system. Seems realy playable. I sure would like to be a customs officer on this toll road :-) Good luck! -

Great job. Original stickers make it look like a set. I really like what you did with the rearview mirror. Competition is getting really hot! Good luck! -
I'm sure they've contaced madoca...NOT. A friend of mine bought Lepin Porsche - horid!!! Moulding for gears is a disaster so no "drive" in drive train, not to mention pin tolerances. He said he needed a hammer and a pair of tweezers... The tires are a joke... A waste of money even if it is a "small" sum. To bad that such great MOCs get downgraded like this! In the end someone will say, what a bad designer this madoca guy is. I guess it's worthless to even start about intelectual property...

I guess you are right, I really wasn't calculating - I just spill it out :-) Those crawler tires wouldn't make it any cheaper either. Nontheless - it is still a great model and it would sell very well IMHO. -

I agree wit jono.rocky. This looks like a set to me. Not to cocky, not to simple. In range around 50 to 70 €. I like it! Good integration of the pump as an exhaust. Good luck. -
Hello again. I just came from »under« my Xerion, which was in need of some repairs. As mentioned in posts above I modified Xerion according to Effermans fantastic MOD. It worked really nice with the standard attachments, but when putting on some heavy haul (about 3 extra kilos of loaded "wannabe" Krampe HP30 + Xerions own 1,6) the XL motor has show his might as one of the two 8t gears right at the motor got flatened - the teeth got combed in the direction of rotation :-) I guess the torque and speed at the very begining of the driveshaft were just to much for such loads or was it the instant kick of the motor - I don't know. I decided to install a pair of 12/20 gears, which I wanted to be braced better so I had to raise a motor for a stud and move it forward to the front of the tractor for a stud. By doing so I had to sacrifice about a half of that sweet pendular rocking and turning while the front axle is not horizontal makes the wheels collide with my inprovised bracing for the new position of the motor. THe hood and its attachment point were also modified, as the motor was to high and the hood would close properly. So far, so good. The tractor is slower of course and I'm a bit frightened what might happen to those CV joints in the wheels, as now there is more torque transferred on them. Best way would be to drive it with a speed remote control, so that the drive train gets stressed slowly and not like a kick in the nuts In case you are wondering what might be those 3 kilos (1,8 when empty) - it's that small bathtub in the back Cheers, miha
