  1. Made this video a while back, thought some of you might appreciate it. Feel free to fast forward to the end if you just want to see the display, but I find watching the build to be somewhat relaxing.
  2. You sir, are technically correct, which as we all know is the best kind of correct.
  3. Great review, brought back a lot of nostalgia. My younger brother had the V-Wing fighter, but we always wanted more sets from the theme (esp. Warp-Wing Fighter and Interstellar Starfighter - the half-saucers always appealed more than the full saucers for some reasons). Now the important questions: When can we get a review of the promotional helmet from 6999?
  4. 31120 is definitely going on my wishlist. I've been needing some new Black Falcon knights to go with my dual-10223 setup, and I bet I could retool + reskin the model a bit to integrate into the modular castle wall around my jousting arena.
  5. Now I just wonder when they will give us dinosaurs with feathers ;)
  6. That's a cool idea. Better than my idea of mutilating a 11402a for the screwdriver head.
  7. Damn that is a thing of beauty. Love the micro nano-scale Ghost.
  8. Yeah, I'm in the US. Unfortunately the two closest LEGO stores are 200+ KM away, across a closed international border, and the next closest is 250 KM away.
  9. Apologies if this is the wrong topic, but do we have any idea the frequency with which they restock sets / when Ninjago City Gardens is likely to be available again?
  10. I already spent my three votes, but it was a really hard to choose between all of the awesome entries that made it. Your build looks awesome - good luck with the voting =) Just wanted to make sure this doesn't get lost, if anyone has suggestions.
  11. yeah, Ninjago City Gardens is gonna eat up most of my summer LEGO budget whenever it finally comes back in stock...but maybe I'll be able to swing this for Christmas or something.
  12. I'm kind of disappointed they didn't include Omega, or give Echo a pirate hook for a hand or something... but I just checked in Bricksmith, and it looks like the neck of a 11402a wide-head / 3-rib screwdriver is the same diameter as a standard minifig hand, so I may have to buy a sacrificial one on Bricklink and take an exacto to it....
  13. Already commented this on LEGO Ideas, but this is a great and natural evolution of the tensegrity genre.
  14. Great build, no surprise it really took off. Anyway, I love the new interior features =)
  15. Submitted this to the current LEGO Ideas beach competition.
  16. I love the Elves aesthetic, but I do really prefer minifigs to mini-dolls, for posability if nothing else.
  17. Congrats to everyone who made the review, including the several people who got multiple submissions to 10K in the same period! On an unrelated note, does anyone have suggestions for avenues to draw in supporters, beyond here / Flickr / Instagram? I'm coming up on the 2 week mark, and I'm definitely seeing the initial surge of support slow to a trickle.
  18. Built Lt. Morales from Heroes of the Storm (a Starcraft Terran medic) at as close to minifig scale as I could manage while still doing the power-armor justice. Lt. Morales by Thomas Dickerson, on Flickr Lt. Morales by Thomas Dickerson, on Flickr
  19. Did a few new renders to celebrate hitting 100 and getting the 1 year extension: Light Under The Hill by Thomas Dickerson, on Flickr The Anger of the Dark by Thomas Dickerson, on Flickr If you haven't supported yet, it would be super appreciated if you check it out now and help keep momentum as I'm reaching the end of the second week and the "new build" surge is starting to trickle off.
  20. With both the main ship and the fighters, the main engines are the dishes in the narrower section to the rear. In the main ship, the center of gravity is towards the central red plane, so the "turbolift" between the bridge/reactor and hangar/brig levels just 180ยบs you through the floor. Thanks, getting a forward viewport to transition smoothly into the rest of the curved hull sections was honestly the hardest part of the build, so I'm glad you enjoyed it!
  21. Might still be able to re-use the legs + hair though, if you can find a decent torso to go with. Maybe some like these guys from the Narnia movie instead of the shirtless Mr. Tumnus vibe: Also, nobody has mentioned this yet, but you can steal hair-pieces from the LEGO Elves minidolls and it fits on a standard minifigure, if you need a little variety in the ears + hairdos when you start mixing in parts from minifigs who weren't originally elves.
  22. Missed this somehow, but just went ahead and supported.
  23. I've used Poison Ivy in the past for faery-adjacent builds, and could definitely fit in with the elf-stylings. The color-scheme is off, but my Series 15 Faun hangs out with my elves. And since someone mentioned Rascus, the torsos from the green and brown Mandalorians in the battle pack also fit if you need armor.
  24. The whole roof geometry is great, but I specifically meant I enjoyed recognizing those big inverted arches as half-pipes from sporting themes (skateboard / snowboarding) - or I guess technically, quarter pipes in this case. I hadn't seen them used that way before.
