  1. I hope you will document the development on YT :) Do you plan to use your own turntable hubs?
  2. 3? I thought they are 2 studs deep when I saw the video reviews. The suspension arm 'hides' one stud into the rim, so with hub itself it makes 2 studs deep.
  3. Hi, can anyone check the depth of the rims? A photo with a beam or an axle would be great. Thanks!
  4. This is my experience and just physics. Compressing force is verical, so when the spring is mounted this way, it helds more weight than angled one. Imagine the triangle of forces. But this is your setup, you know all details and space you can use in front suspension, so whatever suits your needs is ok :) Have you thought about adding torsion bar and anti-roll bar?
  5. One more thing - have you tried to make the hood a bit angled? Just a stud of difference between windshield and grill would result in a better overall look. Now it is very boxy.
  6. Mounting spring vertically, not angled, would help, because the stiffness is higher then.
  7. Now the wheel arches look too big for wheels. Technic wheel arches looked way better.
  8. Volvo had such engines, even transverse V8 :)
  9. It will be very MOD friendly - extending the wheelbase, adding RC, adding more speeds to the gearbox etc. Adjustable suspension would be great, even if it will be done like in the Bruno's P1. I like the look of that car, colour is great too, especially for military MOCs.
  10. Do I see correctly that there is 3l perpendicular connector used for torsion? I really hope for deep offset rims and at least Ackermann steering :)
  11. Hi, sorry for digging up the old thread, but I think my questions fit here. How deep are those rims? 2 studs? Is the axle hole 1 stud long? What is the usable diameter of the inner part of rim? Thanks!
  12. I love it! The new clutch part is pretty useful for small gearboxes :)
  13. I noticed it in every model that came out of Lox's hands. The steering is limited. I don't understand it.
  14. How are you going to make the kidneys grille and lights? What color will the car be?
  15. Oh, I thought e46 also had two lower arms. My mistake.
  16. It looks very nice! Front suspension on strut type in BMWs has two lower arms. What is the gears ratio in steering? M motor is quite fast, it needs some gearing down.
  17. Thirdwigg, thanks for help. I will check it out, build it in LDD first and see how it works. I appreciate it very much!
  18. Hello guys, Sorry for digging up old thread, but I am working on car and I need a gearbox with single pivot point. This one looks perfect. My only concern is if it has correct gear order: 1st and 2nd gear on far right clutches, 3rd and 4th on center ones and 5th and 6th on far left. Can anyone help me with this? Any help is much appreciated :)
  19. There is no ackermann geometry. The pivot point of steering arm should be closer to the wheels when the gear rack is in front of the axle. In your model the pivot point of steering arm is closer to vehicle centerline.
  20. The suspension is double wishbone at front and rear. The height is also adjustable. Maybe it will be a feature :)
  21. Why camber and not caster and kingpin inclination? It could help the steering to straighten the wheels after turning.
  22. Will you use Porsche wheels? I'd leave 4 speed gearbox and add some other stuff :)
  23. It is reversed ackermann geometry. If you put the steering rack in front of the axle, the pivot point of steering rod should be closer to the wheels, not closer to the car centerline.
  24. Awesome creation. I like the panelling. The car is instantly recognizable. Too bad you don't have more photos. Where is the knob that moves the roof? Is the front suspension of pushrod type?
  25. Beautfiul! Any chances to see the suspension and rims from the inside?
