  1. Not bad at all. The dock is a lively scene and the sail is nice.
  2. The imagination that went into getting all of this on that footprint is to be commended. Your eagle could have used to some under wing texturing, but it is fantastic nonetheless.
  3. I am agreeing with everyone else here..more tree less house, but a wonderfully executed build as far as technique and texturing goes.
  4. A wonderful build, the use of texture is perfect.
  5. This is insanely good. The rounded stone base with the somewhat rounded building seems like it would conflict, but it works wonderful here. Beautiful.
  6. It just depends on the scope and planning. This took about two weeks or so at about 3-5 hours a night. i spent a few days tearing it down and rebuilding so there is a loss of time there. Qar Riwa for example took about 2 months.. Thanks Windusky! PFFFF hahaha..we know what water looks like out here. It's pretty dirty but it's still water. thanks ME! I guess I just noticed I did use a bit of Gunman's techniques in the build. Thanks Mrc!
  7. Looking forward to trying out a new style of building outside of the four guilds...maybe a resurgence of the pre columbian civilizations..
  8. Unfortunately no interior, and I thank you for all of your praise for the build sir. The horns were a last minute touch that came out well I think. I think you are on to something-taller, slimmer, more of a domed roof, and definitely some better landscaping overall. I considered making the bottoms of the towers light bley, but I felt that ended up detracting from the overall concept. i wanted to stay away from the LOTR type eleven structures and go for a more Elder Scrolls/Magic the Gathering look. Thanks En Zoo for your insight! Thanks Leo! Thanks Slegengr, I'll pm you a shot of the gondola if you'd like. As I stated above, my goal was to try have this build have an organic feel to it. The curves, the material and the color scheme was selected to give it (as close as I could) a true light fantasy feel. The inspiration came from several places, but mainly the Avalonian guild landing page, the picture depicting the Elven Lands. Thanks Cap! Thanks Ecc! And there was a bit of inspiration drawn from there as well as the place I stated above. Everyone loves the lanterns lol! I'm glad you enjoyed the small details of this build LJ, Thanks! Thank you Isundir!
  9. bwahhahahahaha nice. It's OK i mess up all the time.
  10. OOO I see it now, i'm sorry I responded to you earlier on my phone. Once I got onto a computer, I can see the snow slopes and angles a lot clearer now. Apologies.
  11. The tan floor I think, should've formed the entire base of the build, but other than that this is a wonderful vignette and a great read.
  12. You are not messing around with this build! What you have so far could be a build in and of itself!
  13. That architecture went through several tear downs and rebuilds before I got to a place I was somewhat satisfied with it. I'm glad I represented Avalonia well..Thanks! Thank you sir! I've always wanted to find something to do with those curved brown bricks I got. Thanks! Thank you Dathil! Thank you Henjin! If you go out and buy some curved elements, they are pretty cheap right now. It took a a lot of time and effort to get the architecture to a good place, and many tear downs and days of wasted building. Seeing as you are in the process of designing your own city, I hope that your work honestly blows mines out of the water as I feel that this build is still lacking..something. Maybe it was all the regular green, but even then it feels like its missing something more. Will do sir! Thanks! Hey hey there is some bright green and sand green in there lol. Thanks Titus! Thanks Kai, the windows of this build are honestly my favorite part!
  14. An Elven Fortress in located deep in the Mystic Isles of Avalonia, Valahadrian was erected during the war of the elementals. It's defenses are light by human standards, but this fortress was not designed to ward off normal men and women, but the various magical embued entities of the isles which it guards. It's magical defenses are formidable, and can be sensed from miles around. I've wanted to do a traditional fantasy build for a while so I finally did it. Happy building and thanks for critiques and comments!
  15. All of these builds are outstanding, however to me..Patrolling the Grasslands is my absolute favorite. The sense of action you get from that build is surreal.
  16. Thank goodness you were limited in size, as you would've blown us all away with the interior lol. Seriously though another awesome creation from you.
  17. Your texturing has improved quite a bit by the evidence of BOTH builds.
  18. This is a very nice and clean build. as others have mentioned, there could be a sand dune or a bush in there, but overall a very nice build.
  19. I thought I commented on this but I guess not. I love the effect that you used to make the background, very clever. the snow drifts are a nice touch as well, though I am not particularly fond of the snow steps in the back..or is that rock?
  20. A wonderful build as usual, but I am really impressed with the house design. It's unique but so clean and inviting at the same time. The foliage is spot on as usual sir, great job!
  21. I enjoyed the story and I really appreciated the effort you put into implementing this into the larger scale of the events going on right now. I will have to agree with the others however, next time, especially seeing as this is such a small build, limiting it to 2 or 3 major colors would do wonders for this build. In this case less is more and it helps that aesthetically, your builds' colors should be in harmony with each other. No shame in this however, as I think everyone as some point or another has done this, it's just one of those lego lessons that you learn.
  22. Nice work on the texturing of the houses and snowscapping.
  23. Nice shaping of the tree and great use of color!
